called me saying i was being sued for an amount put in a bank account from a payday advance company...funny thing is that account was closed because it was never used...i had to tell them 4 times for them to finally stop calling me bc i called the bank to verify it.

The same people called me saying I got a payday loan that I didn't pay and was being sued for $8000. And that I was having a sheriff come to my door and take me to court.  Beware. My husband called they said they was lawyers and gave different name then what they gave me. I was told next time they call I can get  them for phone harassment.

I see that everyone is talking about tha same people and these people is doin tha same thing to a lot of people like us. One thing that cross my mind, we still don't have an answer. I'm through written on these so- call website and think I'm going to get some result.. My next step is a lawyer and really get some understanding of this stupid situation.. wen I get an answer I will come back and let everyone know.. dueces

HOW DO I MAKE THEM STOP CALLING!!!

Someone called..could not understand who he was..but he said he was calling from the government law office.  I knew these people were scam...and I hung up...he called me back..angry that I hung up on him...Needless to say..these people never give up and I just for chapter 13.

Have had several employees getting same calls.  According to Google the area code (347) is in New York.  Went to the New York Attorney General's website and posted a complaint.. Got a response within 10 minutes thanking me for the report.

This phone # called an employee of ours and left a very threating voice-mail.  I did not appreciate it so I decided to call them back and ask that our phone # be removed since this is a place of business.  They wanted to speak with the employee and after I told them no they got very irate with me.  I told them if they called again they would be hearing from our lawyer.  This is a scam!!!  Do not believe anything they say and DO NOT give them any personal info.

this is the 2nd one ive had now saying they were from the State of Illinois (funny how the number is NO illinois #. Saying they will arrest me and hope i have an attorney. First time they said they had a policeman in route to my work to pick me AND my boss up. This time they said may god have pity on my worthless soul. Its nothin but a scam

A guy from this  number called my son 3 days in a roll looking for me, has a heavy accent very rude
said they didnt have a good address or phone for me ( been the same for 18 yr )  when my son refused to give into his insistance, the guy started calling him MF &  F @@K U, all kinds of this stuff. ,
The joke is on this guy , my son  works midnight at sherriff dept, had been awaken by this guy 3 days in a roll,   """he sent info to attorney generals office for assistance. "" so let s all pray something gets done to stop this guy,
the same thing happen to me back in dec2010, but it was a woman that couldnt speak english I kept telling her I didn't understand her  till she hung up on me, then a man called that could bearly speak english right after her  said I was going to be arrested  , told him fine meet me at the jail.. they didn't call me any more, so now they connected the names and harressing my son.

i made mistake of one of those payday loans, $300.00  got it.... paid it back  $600.00 and..said NEVER again..

I received a call today, telling me that someone filed a lawsuit against me and they gave my ssn# and telling me I will be arrested by 11am tomorrow. Asking some other information. So, what I did I told them go ahead Im not scared, and I told them their number was in caller ID and Im having to report them at the police station. I googled their number and I found them they are scummers.  Please try to find these people whose doing phone calls and scared the people they called, but they did not scared me. I am not stupid to give the informations. I know in the first place they are scummers because of their accent seems like a nigerian accent.

I got a call from these people told me that I was getting sued and would not tell me what it was about and said i knew what it was about.  I hung up on them,  They called right back and kept on hanging up on them finely the "SR Lawyer" got on and said I owned $8000.  I was like the only thing getting deposited into my account is my check every other week and he threatened me so I told him I would get ahold of our Attorney General and so I emailed him since he is my uncle! They did not even have my correct bank account! They called back and left a voice mail and told me they would take me down and also said F@#K  You A**le!  Sorry not A A$$hole but I am a WITCH! haha

These people hounded me with nasty messages for 2 dyas. When I finally called them back the man that could barely speak english told me I was being sued for insufficiant funds on a payday loan. He said he was a lawyer at some governmant legal office (could tell right off the bat he was full of it) But then he told me not to laugh and call him a scam because the sheriff was going to be at my house at 8 a.m. on Friday to serve me the affidavit of the lawsuit. I told him to send me an official letter in the u.s. mail and he argued that he could and did just email the stuff to me. Not only do they pose as lawyers they also pose as officers. The one that left me messages ended his call with "call John Officer John Smith". Sad thing is I wonder how many people they have actually scared into giving them money.

This number calls about 6-7 times a day despite the fact that I told them to remove me from whatever list I am on. The person is always speaking with a heavy accent and either says he is from a payday loan place or is a lawyer and that I am being sued. Really annoying. It all started when I made an online inquiry to a payday advance comparison site and they must have given my number to every place this side of the earth.
