Have received many calls from these people with threats to be sued and taken to jail. Have looked up their #'s before and they were coming from Tampa. This one however is in Brooklyn, New York. Man says his name is Charles Brown (original) and as always has a thick Indian accent. I told him that I know he and his fake company are a fraud. Please do not give them any money or personal info. They should go get a real job and stop insulting our intelligence!

This is a scam and he is not a debt collector for a legitimate agency because the tactics that he is using are illegal.  I answer a switchboard and am dealing with the same jerk.  He's overseas using voice over ip so there is little the authorities can do to stop him.  Educate yourself on the Fair Credit Act and you will see what he's doing is illegal.  He is even threatening me with arrest for refusing to put his calls through.  After talking to an employee and doing research online I can tell you that these people get your information off of fishing websites that they have set up.  They often know your information because without meaning to do so, you gave it to them.  One individual said that they filled out a form online for a loan and when they got to the end they realized it was a payday loan or one with an enormous interest rate so they declined the offer.  Too late though because they have your details.  Change any phone numbers you are capable of changing and put everyone on notice.

My name is Tyrone  I lIve in Chicago, for the last 3 weeks or so i have been receiving calls from this number telling me that i owe a debt of 700.00 dollars, i know I have finance problems i had took a a couple of internet loans in the past, but due to my job situtation i was not able to make payments, I was thinking this Charles Brown is calling from a collection agency call ACS, he  has been calling my job harassing me on my job I tried to get infomation from them but they try to out talk me on the phone. right now i don't know what to do i'm afraid that i will loose my job,  my manager has warn me on serveral times about getting calls from bill collectors on the job,  if any one have any suggestions that could help me out I would be greatly appreciated

This guy just called me today and left a voice mail, said he was from ACS and identified himself as Alex Sparkle. I have no idea how he got my name and # as I don't owe any debts.  It took 7 or 8 times
listening to to v-mail because he does not speak English very well.  He can just kiss my XXXXXX.

I was called on 06-08-10 by a Sebastian telling me that there were charges against my ss# and I was going to be arrested for theft. This is over a $300 loan. I was laid off before I could pay it and now these people are telling me to give them $1200.00, or I'll be arrested. I just filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and I hope they will straighten them out.  The guy who calls does not even speak clear english, but he likes to make threats. He called me today and I told him "Do not call me at twork anymore. If they are calling you at the job tell them "CEASE and ASSIST all calls. If they call again. It is a violation. If they call anyone out there again, RECORD, the message and save it.  They need to be sued and shut down.  My complaint has been filed, I encourage otheres to do the same, if needed.

I just got a message from someone, saying they received an affidavit against one of my friends and we both need to call to discuss a serious matter, that my name and number were mentioned in the affidavit. I'm not calling back, the number that showed on my cell is 052497347 and thew indian guy, sorry, I couldn't understand the name he used said to call back 347-289-3902, sounded like lots of noise in background like a call center or something. I think he said the name was Steven Wood.

I have been receiving the same calls...  What do you do?  He told me my ss# was in trouble.  I have contacted the police and the sheriffs department...  What else can be done to stop these people?

Received a message on cell phone last night and again this morning.  Also this morning he called me at work.  Saying his name is Peter Johnson from ACS and that I should call him back asap because there is a judgement against me and if I don't take care of it soon then it will hurt my credit...Help this is really annoying.

This jerk (heavy indian accent) identified himself as David Williams with ACS. This is absolute fraud.  They use different names, different phone numbers b/c they are using prepaid phone calling cards.  This jerk uses names like Justin Corner, Sean Preston, Matthew Morris, Larry Morris.  Today he used David Williams.  He says he is a fraud investigator, then a law enforcement officer -- he uses fictitious law firm names as well.  This is identity theft at its worst.  This guy is total fraud and is trying to make a living stealing people's information.  The other phone numbers he has used are:  646-808-3838; 310-756-4894; 631-605-6792 and 631-605-6817.   Also on Caller ID a number of 052497347 has come up.   Do not pay this guy any money.  He has stolen information from computers and IP addresses. I have reported this to the attorney general's office and the FTC.  They need to arrest this jerk.  Keep blocking the phone numbers or whatever you have to do.  
Also, when you try to return the call to this jerk:  you never can leave a message b/c there is no voice mail to a prepaid phone card.

Just got a call from these people this is the number I got to call back the original number is 052497347 okay they called me back 3-times in a row because I hung up on them his name went from Charles Brown to James Johnson all I had to do was pay them $350.00 and he would fax and and e-mail me the documentation and receipt and confirmation number I said you are breaking the law you mail me the information first and I will have my attorney look at and we will go from there he said no you pay first he had all my information and i mean everything he said I owed on a payday loan I said I never applied for one that about 1 1/2 ago someone stole my identity and got loans in my name and I was not responsible for it he said yes you are you pay me $350.00 I will stop the call's and the matter will be resolved I ask for his number he gave it to me and I said my attorney will deal with you and I am calling the police also and he hung up on me!! unbelievable just watch yourself !!!!

A woman called to inform me that I have a serious threat to my ss#.

they called my cell then right after they left a message there they called my husbands cliaming i had a loan didnt pay it and that he as an accessary could be charged they are noting more then scammers. report it to the fdc

I just got a few calls at work from the same guy with Indiana accent and he said the same thing.. I kept hanging up on him but it was the same phone number 347-289-3902, scared me at first, till I started researching this.  Something needs to be done about CTS ASAP and have them put in jail.. Damn scammers!

This guy called me the F word after I told him to cease and stop.  I told him off and he started to tell me he'll contact the FBI and "Do you know who I am?"  and I replied, "YES, an a**hole, etc. "   This is fraud and they some how got my cell phone contacts.

I keep receiving calls from this number with a man who is using the name of Shawn Martin calling from the Legal Dept of ACS- Affidavit Counseling Services telling me my ss# is under investigation.. So far I have ignored all calls, but he is very persistent and has called me numerous times.  I would like to know who I can report this to.  I am thinking of calling the FBI.

I just recieved a call from these people and they stated they were looking for my husband. They left a message at my work. I know for a fact we have never applied for a pay day loan. This guy left a message at my office telling me if I didnt call back, "I would be in big trouble". I called them back and the guy was rude and threatened me. And he was also cussing at me. I told him, you can not talk to me like that and I was going to file a complaint...he said you do that b----and f---off. Of course it wasnt clear because of that thick indian accent.

If you file with the attorney general's office in the state from which Mr. not american is calling from they will at least quit calling you from that area code. You will of course have to do a report for each area code but what the heck at least you can vent again and again. I filed against 903-200-5129 which is in Texas, there were 14+ pages and almost as many voice mails on 14 june 2010, nothing from them today. Apparently you don't mess with Texas!  However, 567-248-2129 called "mr. allan smith" for sure! from some Lawfirm but I'm sure it was also acs, they must have a million different names, maybe from a baby book. This person has everything from every cash advance/ cash loan fraud number there is and what you can do to help stop these scammers. There is even a letter from a BBB person who tells you exactly how this scam works, very scary.
Whether you owe a cash advance company or have never even had an advance everyone needs to show "these people" we aren't going to be bullied, cursed at or scammed. The best thing about living in America is there are NO Debtors prisons! All they can do is sue you for the money and I doubt any real company would pay a bunch of lawyers for the few who might owe $300.00. I just read an advance company "rules" everyone has to use arbitration, so NO lawyers.

I have been receiving phone calls from numbers 5187519193 and 7187665576 telling me I have to pay them 785.00 to one of them and 391.00 to the other.
today a James Brown and an Erik Mathews called me harrassing me and threating me that if I did not pay he will file for the FBI to come and arrest me.
I was very scared and did not what to do so I began to research the numbers and found out  this people are a BIG FRAUD!

I got several calls from them. Each time, it was someone with a thick Indian accent too.They even called me at work after I told them I could not take personnal calls at work. Then, they started leaving message on my home and cell phone. On June 11th, I got into a heated argument with one of these guys. He kept saying there was a serious charge against my social. I called his bluff. He claimed I received a loan onto my prepaid card on 3/3/10 at 6:54 pm. I shocked the crap out of him when I told him that was impossible because the card he claims the funds were put on was not in possesion at that time (it happened to be a brand new card that was en route to me!!! It was mailed on 3/3!!!!). Then I informed him that I contacted the bank (which I actually did!!) and informed him that the bank verified that no funds were deposited on 3/3/10 and they were sending me documentation to prove it!!!! I then told him as per the bank, I was filing a police report (did it!) and reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission. To whoever reads this, do the same!!! We have got to stop these bastards from committing fraud and theft..

just got a call from 052-497-347 I didnt answer. They left a message, saying it was ACS, his name was Jeff Martin, and the call back # was 347-289-3905. I called back and told them to never call me again and that I knew they were fraud, he told me to F*&# off and I hung up.

Received several calls at work for couple of months, from 052-497-347, call back number is 347-289-3905...from Shawn Martin calling from ACS which is Affadavit Processing Services.  The individual has a heavy Indian accent and very difficult to understand.  States that I have a charge on my ss#, which he read to me, and if I don't correct the matter, I won't ever be able to use my ss# again and will go to jail.  Someone needs to have these calls stopped somehow.

I got the same phone call earlier tonight, all I got out of it was they have my SS# and it was being filed with the state as fraud and I was in big trouble.  I kept asking to speak to someone who speaks English without an accent, but James Matthews and Dominick were the only people I got to talk to.  They kept telling me there coming to my house (which they gave me my street address) and would see me in the court house on Monday (a joke due to the holiday).  Knowing they have my personal information is very bothersome and since they've called my daughters cell phone and her friends cell phone looking for me was real scary.  He kept mentioning that I had a payday loan - but I never took a payday loan and they tried to retrieve the money from my bank account, but it was closed.  I have no idea - but I feel violated.  What do we do about this?

A guy at my work started receiving these calls...the Indian accent guy would call all day and started cussing out my office assistant because she wouldn't out the calls through. So here is what I did....for 30 minutes straight I called their number back to back on 5 different cell phones, a landline and a fax line....for the first 10 minutes the Indian guy played back with me and thought it was funny....but 20 minutes into it he didn't like that I was tieing up all of his lines....after 30 minutes of it he said he would never call again and appologised multiple times. Each time I called him I would be dialing the number on another phone while I talked to him and I would ask for him on the other line, so he would ask me to hold on and when he clicked over to the other line I would be there and say, "Hi Charlie!"....it was fun and fulfilling to stick it back to them....if you have some free time and extra phones try it....they hate it....lol.

What is the deal with that??  I was told pay $1200,or be arrested.
