forgot to post this. i report all call on my land line

Repeated robo-calls claiming that home air quality was dangerous and need to call them right away!

Today is August 8, 2012. i got a call at 9:38 AM Daylight Savings Time in Houston TX from this number.
Don't respond to it. It is a disgusting and annoying NYC company (?) They probably have some evil agenda!

Thank you, RIP, for the great info.  I am definitely going to follow up on it as I am sick of getting almost daily calls from these morons.  There has to be a way to shut them down.

This number called: 702-291-2991 after going through their prompt, I spoke to someone, scheduled an appointment to the sheriff department's address in my area saying that was my house address with 5 bedrooms and 2 hallways. The next day, I got a call from the carpet cleaner from his cell phone. He was sort of angry and I was laughing. His two cell phone numbers are: 714-574-3175 and 213-514-4650. Feel free to add these numbers to any forms you fill out that a solicitor might call. Personally, the next time they call about the carpet cleaning, I am going to give them one of these numbers. I continually receive these dumb autodialers. They do get pissed off when you screw around with them. The solicitors seem to screw up when they're angry and give information they would never normally give. After Googling the phone numbers I got the following: Master Carpet Cleaners 4531 North Country Club Lane, Long Beach, CA 90807, United States (800) 511-7561 master-cleaner.com Feel free to file complaints with the FCC, Attorney General or whoever you want. If they receive enough of these, maybe they'll stop?

I presume that the New York number is because they all contract with a single company to abuse people nationwide with this scam, then route you to a local cohort in the scam. The New York number may also be faked, which is simple to do if they have their own switch, as they can put whatever they want on the line. The local "company" always answers with the generic "Seattle Air Duct Cleaning," which does not actually exist. A request for any actual identifying information at all causes the person to hang up.

The Federal Government could easily close these people down by just requesting a volunteer to allow their calls to be traced. I would volunteer in an instant. But they do not do this because the Do No Call List is just that, a List and nothing more.

At least the fake Microsoft Tech Support calls from India have abated for a while. They must be touring another part of the country.

Again, as 6/26, shows NY and leaves a message about carpet cleaning.  I am in CA, why would I even think about doing this type of business with someone calling from NY?  3,000 miles seems a little distant to plan for something as local as carpet cleaning.

I filed a complaint on the Do Not Call website... But that NEVER has stopped any calls.  I don't think they do anything.  Maybe the Do Not Call List people just sell your contact info to other telemarketers.

I just received a long automated recording on my answering machine from these shmucks. Get this, the ad claims that if "I" don't have my heater ducts cleaned my house could burn down! So much for furnace filters, eh? This is a scam played to the hilt. I live in California and getting calls from NYC for carpet/duct cleaning services?  Oh, what these slithering devils will do to rob people. What is with our government? Haven't they the desire to validate this VERY SERIOUS isssue. I guess since our little darlings in BIG government are such dear angels themselves, the very fact of serving a hearty helping of high calorie dishonesty goes a long way for them and to us. Where are WE THE PEOPLE to stand who are being harassed, in are own homes, our privacy disrupted, daily, by criminals morning, noon and night attempting to pick someone who's naive and leave them high and dry. These so-called telemarketers are criminals. WAKE UP law makers, enforcers and the like!

same as the other folks.  Duct cleaning for $29 donation. Junk call where the company violates the DNC list and California PUC regulations SECTION 2871-2876. They fill up my answering system with their unwanted sales garbage.

NWYRCYZN14 probably means "New York City Zone 14", or "10014". But I'd bet that itself is a misdirection, that this isn't coming out of New York City at all. (NYC and NY State have some of the strongest consumer protection laws in the country.)

I also just got one of these calls. They seem to come in about once a week. The one time I spoke to a live person, she sounded like a work-at-home drone, and hung up on me as soon as I started asking questions.

The "$29 donation" wording that other posters have used is interesting. There's an exclusion in the Do Not Call law for non-profit/charitable organizations. (Also one for political calls - in theory that's First Amendment free speech.) My guess is these scammers are wording their solicitations to sound like it's a non-profit doing the calling.

Duct Cleaning Service via robocall.  NWYRCYZN14 NY displayed on Caller ID, 2 calls rcd. on 6/28 & &/6 even though on Do Not Call list.  Pushed "2" to be dropped from list.  Won't leave a message on recorder if no one answers.

Got the call July 6, 2012 - so they are still at it. Now the robo-woman says it is a non-profit org that is willing to clean carpets cheap to keep us healthy. What a load of crap! BTW, I am also on the "Do Not Call" list.

I received a call today.   I live in California, and I am also on the Do Not Call list.    I have reported 4 complaints to the do not call in the past week, all different numbers, but I still receive calls from unsolicited numbers.  What good does it do to be on the do not call list?  It's worse now than it ever was in the past. These people aren't afraid of being fined.

Yet again they called and left duct message and somehow bypassed my OOMA phone system so that I can't blacklist them.

Caller company from New York City wants to clean my AC ducts in California for a higher price than my warranty. Haha. Blocked.

Caller ID showed the number and "YMAX COMM CORP".  There was an automated message on my answering machine, $29.95 for air duct cleaning.  So -- I take it they are somehow conning people to sign up for carpet cleaning and air duct cleaning??  Oh, yeah -- why is a New York company calling me in California?  So sick and tired of all these scams.  Wonder if I can get away with recording a message on my answering machine --  something like --  "The number you have reached is being monitored by the Fraud Division of the DNC.  Please stay on the line for the next available agent."

Received a call today June 26, then put on call block list.  I too am on the DNC list.

Got a call today, June 25, 2012, from 347 298-1357. Caller ID listed as NWYRCYZN14 NY. Message about duct cleaning in the "California area". Uh, hello, it's a state, not an area.

Press one for more, press two to be placed on the do not call list (DNC). Sadly, DNC list is lacking in strength if so many folks are getting calls such as this.

NWYRCYZN14 NY called with duct cleaning offer and a "donation". Already reported to Do Not Call, but as I have done with all telemarketing calls, nothing happens. DNC is a joke. I like what someone else wrote: "toothless". Does our taxpayer money fund DNC?
