These people have been calling me since March. I changed my number, they call people I know, I reported them to the Federal Trade commission, they keep threatening to take me to court or call my employer. Today after 5 calls I told them they needed to stop harassing me. They had my bank account number and wanted me to confirm it and I didn't. If they really had a case against me then file the claim why keep calling. They gave me a false case number today. The name of the company changes every time, they are Indian people from India. It's like they bought information and are now trying to collect funds. Very frustrating scam. I wish there were more laws against this.

This is absolutely a scam!  These people got your last 4 digits of your ss # and your drivers license number from either a payday loan application you submitted or maybe a subscription/discount membership.  What I have found so far is that the phone number is serviced by a company called Level 3 Communications.  One of their resellers, AD Base Systems sold this number to a potential customer.  Level 3 Communications is pretty scarey!  They set up/sell telecommunications services all over the US and Europe and I am not just talking cell phones I am talking phones used through the internet and whole call centers.

Bottom line if you are threaten with violence from this number the first thing to do is call your local police department.  Tell them about the harrassment and the violent threats.  Give them the phone number calling you and tell them that you have managed to confirm the number was sold by AD Base Systems a reseller to Level 3 communications and give them this number to call 800-348-5457. This is the fraud number at Level 3 Communications.  Call them yourself even and report the harrassment.  TELL THEM THEY HAVE AN OBLIGATION  to make sure the services they provide are being used appropriately and not to harrass, threaten, etc.  Once they have been notified of this situation it is their MORAL if not legal obligation to shut the number down.  I think this could turn into a law suit if they do not act upon the complaints they receive.

well ok, they called my dads cell phone looking for someone who doesn't even know our number and said they used us as a reference on a loan. the person who called was clearly of Indian descent but claimed his name was "Brian Wilson:, the giants world series pitcher. so i in turn called on my phone using *67 to block my number and tried to reach this so called Brian Wilson and they said i was not allowed to talk to him unless i gave them my phone number. i asked who i was speaking to and they said there name was "Danny Don" and i hung up. as a joke i called the number back again and asked for "shineme codsack" and the woman i spoke to again said i  could not speak to this fake person unless i gave her my number and she said she was an attorney. i then asked if she was in America and she said yes and i told her she was lying because there are no red dot attorneys in America and she said and i quote "f*** you" and hung up the phone.
