Of course this is a scam! They're going after people with Asian or Indian last names, which really made me mad. So I did a lot of investigating online, and called the scammers back pretending to want to send money. They ARE running this out of the U.S. In fact, they're in an office building in the Bronx, NY.   Or at least, they were, until I called the management office of the building - 1200 Waters Place, Bronx, NY 10461

If this has happened to you, email the IRS at phishing@irs.gov   Have the subject of your email be "IRS Telephone Scam".

Boy the telemarketers/scammers are out in full force today!  This is the 4th call today.  As I posted before all of our numbers are listed on the DO NOT CALL LIST - Which is a complete waste of time.  What they don't realize is they aren't going to get anywhere with me.  I answer the phone so therefore you have to get buy me first - not happening buddy!   Good luck you piece of dung!

SPAMMER

Steve Johnston (with a strong Nigerian accent) called from "Microsoft" demanding login details to "fix my computers technical errors"
Again, loud background noises.
Turns out he got quite upset when I said his name wasn't Steve Johnston!

I have gotten 4 voicemails and at least 15 calls from this number in the last 2 hours on my cell phone. All the same background noise and he only said hello before hanging up after I called back annoyed. The message said I had a certified check for 1.5 million waiting and to call the same fool mentioned in the other posts. As I post from my phone they are calling again. This just started this afternoon and they need to stop.

How can I get them to stop calling me?

Received the same call.  He used the name "Mark Johnson" said he is from a law firm (PCS Legal) BUT IT IS A SCAM, and gave a call back number: 347-338-6018 or 6108 - could hardly understand him. He said I had checks or charges against me and for me to give him a call. First off my bank or credit card company would call me and not him! The number on my caller ID did not match the number he gave as a call back number.

"Mark Johnson" called MY cell phone looking for "your sibling" said that he was going to transfer the pending lawsuit against her into my name because I wasn't cooperating with their investigations!  What a JOKE!  And he left it on my VOICEMAIL!  Thank you for the incriminating evidence against you! Come on people!  Get a life.

He left a number 347-338-6018 to call back, but it's funny...if you try to call it back, it doesn't accept incoming calls.At least it didn't when I tried to call it back.  Sounds MORE than a little fishy to me!

Received a call from this number today, telling me about fraud charges against my SSN and that he was prepared to take legal action against me if I did not return his call.  I have had these same people call my cell using a different number.  They have also called me through my work number.  Total scam.

My best friend called saying he got a call from these people claiming to be lawyers. My Fiance called them back (as I found this site and knew it was a scam) and called saying she was a lawyer with the law offices of Dewey,cheatim and howe...(say it together and you will get the joke)  anyways she said she had a list of clients who contacted her about them and she was setting up a class action lawsuit against them. If anyone gets calls from them, do the same... Fight fire with fire..... these people are taught to use any means necessary to get money..... so give it right back to them..... if not for yourself then for the other people out there who are falling victim to these a***oles... Just tell them you are representing a list of clients who have contacted the FBI and FTC as well as the BBB and you have a class action lawsuit stemming against them. The guy started to panic on the phone and lost his cool and you could hear concern in his voice.... we all need to do this

Keep getting calls from this man. I contacted a lawyer and he tried to call and they hang up on him. This name and number has been turned over to the FTC the BBB and the New York Police Dept. The next step we will take is sue him and the company. We have a name if it is a legal name and phone number

The man associated with this number claimed called my client and identified himself as Eric Foster, he was pressuring my client to pay money to him or he will get my Clint arrested immediately. My client asked him to talk to his lawyer he asked my client to tell her lawyer to call him.
I called the number using my law office number, the gentle answered my call by saying law office. He asked for my bar number and told me that myself and my client will be sent to the court house. I gave my bar number to him and asked him to id himself the line went dead. ...

I can't even remember this guys name, but he said his phone number very fast and said the same stuff over and over just like the rest of them do.  This is getting so old.  Isn't there anybody we can report these losers to?

These people are calling me at my work. I told them to stop, how can I get them to stop?

Some piece of s*** called my job, and left a name and number. The bi*** name was Debra Hanson. When I called it was a towelhead female that couldn't speak English. I told her exactly t**** heads don't have American names. She said she is talking to the police and to pay her $600.00 for a loan I did 25 years ago. This individual called me yesterday saying there was a lawsuit being filed against my namee and ssn that he was from a legal firm representing Usa cash and that my financialibstitution was going to press chatges on me for check fraud I told them Ill have my lawyer contact you regarding this matter go ahead have him call me I said okay he called no answer Ive also contacted my bank about this matter they called me again today at work on my cell I hung up they called my store phone I hung up Im going to the ftc today and pressing charges on this company for identity theft nd harrasment

I just got a call about 20 minutes ago from 3473386018..officer Richard Spencer saying that Iw as being sued over some loan. This man is very rude and has harrassed me in the past..The background noise makes it impossible to hear anything and the heavy accent does not help. I went to google and came across all these different post and am wondering if we should get the local FBI involved.

I recieved a call from a richard spencer and a debbie hanson with the same information harrassment at work and on my phone. Who do we call for this matter. I will be calling my attorney.

ok I also have had these people call my house as well. more than once, my number that showed up was "17". His name was " MAX" as well !!! Very rude individual! But they are being taken care of now! Contacted the Attorney Generals Office and they are handling it from here on out!!

I get calls that come over our id as the number "7" only.  Then they give me another number to call back on...347-338-6018.  The person states his name as Max Louis and he is foreign and lots of background noise.  I tell him to please do not call this number again and he wants to transfer me to someone else.  I hung up.  I think he said he was from ACS and a legal matter has come across his desk and was I aware of it.

This Jack Russell calls like all the time. His name alone is a joke. He keeps leaving messages that I will be going to jail if I don't pay them their money. What money you a__holes.

Called me 3 times today already at least 50 times this year.1-347-338-6018 and the #1#000000 comes  up when they call reported to FTC. They said they where DCS but it was hard to understand indinan accent.

This is true except they dont moved on I have received 12 phone calls in a day from them and 5 the next its horrible.

This is like Cajun VooDoo, but much, much stronger and more devastating to these scammer scum. I have lit the strong candle, boiled the poo-c*** root to tea and leaves, and dropped the cow's blood over the monies they are trying to steal. The bulyare hex has taken and roots feed on the sacred cow's blood of life. The prayers lead me to them in their hearts, their hearts are weak, their mind is weak. They are failing. There is no more money for them now, only shame and strife. The Great Spirit crushes Buddah, his blood flows free. Their fingers grow weak as they try to call. They will only fail and must end their lives rather than live in shame. The bulyare is strong and reaches them wherever they go. There is no rest for them, they are cursed. They cannot return from the other side, there is nothing but shame for them in the afterlife, they hang heads of tears and blood. Bulyare wins.

Did Mr Luis have an Indian accent?   Have you taken out a payday loan anytime in the past?    If yes to both, it's almost certainly a foreign-based payday loan scam.   One of the trademarks of this scam is, besides other personal info, they often know the last four digits of the SSAN.   This info comes from stolen or hacked  records or from totally fraudulent payday loan web sites.   It's a criminal scam; don't give them anything-including personal information.   Tell him you have absolutely no intention of sending him any money no matter how often he calls or what he threatens.   Once they determine you are a dry hole, they usually move on to the next victim.

Mr. Luis has repeatedly called my place of employment, when I called him back, November 1, 2011-8:30 am PDT he verified my social last four digits and my work place. He represented himself as part of a legal department, he yelled and told me in a very loud and aggressive voice that I own a debt and if I did not pay it back, that my "a" was going to be sued. I asked him not to yell at me and do not call my place of employment He hung up on me.
