It's a scam claiming to be a government agency, Fraud Division, Financial Collection Dept. A guy and sometimes a women with a Indian(from india) accent. Total Scam do not give them any info! they might have the last 4 of your social but that's all do not give them the rest!

I got a call from this number today at work and like you said they had the last 4 digits of my social security number which I refused to verify. They also had my cell phone number.  The man had a very heavy Indian accent and got very annoyed when I kept asking what company he was calling from and what city he was calling from.  I told him I was at work and could not speak to him now and that I would call him back later.  I did some research on the phone number and even though he told me he was calling from New York, New York the call actually is from a private number in Brooklyn, New York. I'm glad I didn't give any information.

I kept receiving phone calls from this number, but every time I picked up no one answered. So I blocked them and reported the number to my carrier.

This may be an extortion scam. Scammers use bought/hacked loan application data to extort payments for fictitious debts from victims and victims' families and friends.

I received a call from this number on my work voicemail this morning claiming to be Officer Anthony Oliver and that I needed to call them back within 24 hours or they were going to send an officer to my work.  Kind of freaked me out a little because I don't have a clue what it was about.  I couldn't understand most of the message but they had my name, SSN, and date of birth.

I recieved a call from this number this morning on my job from an Officer Sean (Extremely Heavy accent). I have not returned the call.

I just listened to a message on my Google Voicemail from some Indian guy. He said he was from Financial crimes and knows my employer and last 4 of my social. He left this # to call back or he is going to call my manager.

Im assuming this is from a payday loan. Looking to see how to block unknown callers from leaving messages now, so I can block their real # lol.

these a-holes have harrassed me for a wk, #comes up as 0000 on phone,saying they are a debt collector. wanted me to send them payment via debit card, fax # they gave also,206-600-6980,when i refused they told me i would lose my job when they contacted my employer and i they were sending police to my residence.

These damn fools from over seas call and call and call saying I have done internet fraud and I owe for a loan!!! I just filed chapter 7 I owe no body!!!!!!!! I am 100% debt free but these retards just do not listen and they threaten you and tell you they will send you information by courier to your job and get you fired...LOL I wait and wait they never send anything and thats because they dont have anything.

I got 6 calls from this # ranging back about a month......I reported a previous problem to the local authorities and even the police had concerns and said not to worry just watch bank acct: I so much as changed my phone # and started receiving calls from an Office Robert Spencer; Not here is the kicker I said I was not the person they were seeking and he balntingly called me a liar I ragged on him being a foreign and I contacted the police .......He responded by saying:   GET READY!  F*** YOUR POLICE AND F*** YOUR COUNTRY......(SORRY IF THIS IS OFFENSIVE) Ever since that i have gotten no more calls from him however I am getting calls from Chris Brown @ 818-538-9546  and Michael Barry 951-215-4155 they are claiming the same thing, Funny how foreigners whether they are palastians, iranians, or whatever they have American names:   I maybe stupid and slow But I am not Dumb and Naive

"Officer Shawn Phillips" called again today, about 10 am or so.  I did not get a name this time since after he asked for the same employee, and I said he has no extension and isn't here til 10 at night, he went into a fit.  He got really pissed off, said "Why the f*ck did you take a message yesterday you son of a bit*h.  I of course got angry right back, and instead of pressing for details, I said "Excuse me?"  No one from any kind of collection facility would cuss at anyone over the phone.  I now know for sure that this is someone trying to rip off this employee.  Anyway, after saying that, he then said, "Hang up the phone mother fu*ker."  Shaken and extremely angry, I hung up.

This is the third time I've ever heard this guy call, and I can guarantee he'll be calling again.  Next time, he's going to face my boss.  No one talks to a receptionist like that.

I'm a receptionist for a company in Wisconsin.  Received a call from an "Office Shawn Phillips" with a strong Indian accent.  Wanted to talk to another employee here.  The employee has no extension, so I proceeded to ask if this was an emergency so he could be called out in the plant and given a message.  He stated it was an emergency, and that is when he gave me his name and the number 347-342-0183.  When I asked for some information to give to the employee, he rudely repeated the number, then started saying that if the employee didn't call back, his entire family would be arrested for failure to... that's when I hung up.  

I've heard of a scam from applying online for payday loans and I think this employee is unfortunately mixed up in this scam.  Next time this "Officer" calls, I am going to make sure that I get more info from him.  This employee will then be informed of this "Officer" and he can then call a real Officer or whoever he needs to call to get this taken care of.

I recieved a call from 347-342-0183 on 04/05/2011 for my brother. He claimed to be officer Shawn Phillips. He said if I did not have my brother call him he was going to start leagal action. My brother has never used my cell number. He was very hard to understand with a thick accent from India. I call the number back an hour later and the man was rude. Do not answer this phone call. WHAT EVER HE WANTS IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you receive a call from (347) 342_0183 or one starting in 916 do not answer they sre scammers calling from outside the country, if the person have an acent do not give any personal info, sometimes this person already gonna have your ssn & address...they r goin to treath you, or say that is an officer and goin to arrest u @ your home, if you dont take care of (supposed international transactions u made!) So just ask for a call back # and then report to the police and bank & credit bureau just to prevent any suspicious activity in your bank account or credit.Remember do not give any bank, credit or debit info because thats what they look for ...getting money ffom you! I had the EXACT same guy do this same thing to me. Robin Baxter at 347 704 3025. It is a scam. Do not give this man your information. He harrassed me continuously.

I went to us financial to apply for grant money, and then three months later this man keeps calling me. What is us financial doing? selling your information to scammers? I dont understand how this happened.

keep receiving calls . First they state that they are opening a fraud investicgation, then the next messages get nastier and nastier. Unfortunately they are calling at work and i am required to answer the phone, so now i just respond. what division are you from and what is your badge number. invariably they hang up and have someone else call. My next step is to report to home land securtiy so they are informed that this is potentially identity theft.

He called me, stating he would have me arrested, so i had a cop call him back. Said he was representing a payday loan company. I was commiting fraud. My deputy friend told him to go about it correctly, and He told the deputy he would have his badge if he interfered with His investigation. WTF Get a life.

I also received a call from this number, stating my SSN, my home address, everything.  Telling me that I would be arrested at my home and would contact my manager and knew the name of my employer.  Said that I would be fired from my job.  At the end of the message said that God would have his revenge.  These people are all from overseas and are threatening you trying to get you to give your credit card # or debit card # and then steal all of your money.  Just report them, though it doesn't do much good they just switch phone numbers!

I have received calls from this number and the all 3's number. WTF? This number told me to "just die" when I answered. Nice call....
