i have been getting calls from this telephone nuber 347 377 7091, the caller identifies himself as an officer from State Investigate Department  and tells me that there are some criminal charges filed by various federal departments and there is an arrenst warrant against me. this is purely a scam, when i confronted him, he started abusing me and threatens me that he has my home address and he is sending some one to harm me if I dont listen to him. When I said I am goig to report to FBI< he says they cant do anything , in fact he braged that no one can touch him not even FBI, he was ready to give me his address.
I am going to report this to the local police and FBI. BUt I am wondering there are so many people here complained , is FBI or any Law enforcement agency really looking into this, are they realy listening to our plea ...

I was also getting the call from this number this morning saying some legal action + arrest warrant. it is just crap they are thief. Please ignore the this call.

We got the same message that said to go put some money that you own for the tax money. If you get this call don't pick up. We have notify this number to the police.

I got a call from same number today, I told them I was not interested in their scam and they should try somewhere else, it pissed him off . I hung up.
.he called me more than 15 times I kept cutting the line, finally I held the line he hear him frustrated and barking abusive Hindi foul language, I cut the line and then he stopped calling as if he was finally relieved. These guys should be in jail for life.

I got a call from the same number (347-377-7091) this morning saying it was Gary Wilson from State Department doing investigation. I am already on the Do not call list. why are these people harassing us. Can we report these anywhere?

Just got this call. Glad to find this website. Looks like they are just using a VOIP phone and calling from India/Pakistan. Just Ignore, No State agency would call you and say you will be arrested.

Called me twice and said that his name is Ron Davis and he is calling from NYS Investigating Department , If I didn't take action he will take legal action against me I think these guys are scammers because for no reason someone from NYS Investigating Department call you from there private number

No no .... They r 101 % frm Some where USA but Indian or Pakistani accent. If they weren't frm USA how they knw us frm the particular state by looking at our area code in the phone number. On the other hand they knew everything abt US law n policy. Any people frm overseas can't knw everything abt US law.

Caller left a message in my massage box.He told that I should contact with him immediately because he got a legal case regarding name and identification. If I dont call him back, there will be legal action against me and I would be arrested.

They use spoofing technology.  They can use a phony number to make it look like the call is coming from somewhere else.  They are almost always Indian or Pakistani.  They have a strong Indian accent.  Sometimes they try to hide their accent but it doesn't work.

I got a call from this number saying the call is State Investigation Agency.I was told that I owe back taxes and three legal notices were sent and since I didnt responed the the mail,I was given a choice either to pay taxes amount by debit card. If i rufuse to pay state will pursue the court case. If I refuse any of the offer over the phone, the caller said he willissue arrest warrant and the cops will come to my home address and arrest me. It was a very intimadating call amd the caller was very threating. My wife google the no and it came back as a scam. THE CALLERS ARE FROM F****NG INDIA......THOSE F****NG BASDARDS SHOULD BE SHOT FOR HARRESSING PEOPLE FOR NO REASON. They are in either Pakistan or India.  The US government can't arrest them and the Indian local police will do nothing, from what I've heard and read.  American police can't do much either.  But you should still make the report.    They are targeting recent immigrants from Asia who might not be familiar with the American justice system.  No one is going to arrest anyone for errors on tax returns.  IRS disputes are civil matters.  Beware of anyone calling you from an unfamiliar number who has a Hindi-type accent.  Most likely a scam.  Nothing against Hindi people.

At first I believed n asked him what r the issues because I didn't commit wrong against the law. He stated that, I failed to pay taxes to the IRS , withdraw money from the bank stealing account information of someone n some unpaid dues . He also stated that I would be arrested in 17 mints . I was really shocked wondering that what's going on me . Later I talked with my brother In-law and friend regarding the matter . They said , it should be phone scam n encouraged me to report to the police. I reported to the policy but I didn't feel that they take any concern on the issue.
        I have one Question , if someone commit mistake accidentally , he/she will b arrested then and there with no excuse but here the guy has been giving trouble to the lot of people every single day intentionally but no steps have forwarded to arrest him. This is the great weakness of the American Security. I called that guy again next day on February 6th 2014 n tried to find out . Received a phone call from this number.  Same tactics and antics.  These guys are reportedly from Brooklyn and need to be investigated by a government agency.  It is all about threats, intimidation and trying to extort money under false pretenses.  This person would not identify his name or affiliation or his company name except for saying that police will come to arrest me. They need to be caught and put in jail.  If they are suspected to be from India, they can be prosecuted and arrested there.

I got call from this number and said the call from investigation department about the court case. This sounds like fake call. be a ware of it. You might get a call from this number.
