When you used this service did you READ the conditions of using a wire transfer? There is a list of what you should, & should NEVER use a wire transfer for. First off, they're CASH. NEVER use these services to send money to someone you do not know. Real business' DO NOT use these methods of payment/service.

Jennifer - You are correct in most cases. Not to give anyone any money in order to secure a loan of that type. But in cases where someone is trying to purchase a home or to secure a LARGE sum of money for "business purposes", you WILL have to pay some up front money for the purpose of "Due Diligence" (to show your sincerity) in obtaining funds of that magnitude. There is a lot of work that goes into providing that degree of funding, so they don't want to waste there time if the person asking for the funds is just "searching".
But NEVER, and I mean NEVER do what "NNova" did in putting cash on card or send money by way of "Western Union" to ANYONE. That is definitely a "scam" perpetrated by degenerate "foreigners" with the only intention of preying on the less fortunate whom are in "desperation mode"!

Nnova I'm so sorry this happened to you or happened to me day before yesterday got me for $185 and idk what to do I called spring leaf since when you Google american general finance it says it's a spring leaf company and I talked to the President of the company in Indiana and he has filed a complaint with the FBI for using his companies name

These people have been calling my phone back to back no exaggeration! I send them to voicemail and they call right back, I am at work and they continue to call thats what led me on here. It is for a loan and it is a scam 100%

After telling them not to call and if they continue, you can take them to court for harrassment and more then likely nobody will show to fight the case

Never ! Never! Listen to these calls. My friend did this and they took the money off the card and never applied anything to h er account and she was unable to find them again, they had some how blocked her number and after a lot of stuff she had went through including court the only thing they said was that it was her responsibility to know what she was doing when inquiring a loan. You should never have to give someone money to borrow money.

Since yesterday I had the several calls from different number start with 347, 773, 557 and more and said you are qualfy for up to $10,000. I told them I didn't apply for any loan, stop calling me and I gonna report you to FBI, BUT STILL THEY CALLING ME ON MY HOME PHONE AND CELLPHONES.  

I received calls from this number 7 days straight day and night. Last night, 04/03/2014 my husband and I decided to give them a shot and listen they said they were American General Finance and that I qualified for a loan from the application I filed online. All I had to do was have verification that I could pay the loan back in my account. Well I didn't want to use my account so they said I could load 100 dollars on a Greendot moneypack and it would only be used for the verification process. So we went to WalGreens and got a moneypack and loaded the money and they call back the (Chief Accounts Executive) to say that I needed an additional 175 dollars for taxes from the government in order to release the funds. To make a long story short we loaded 175 more for them to take it and say we need an additional 125 dollars because we didn't tell you that 330 dollars is what you need to get loan processed and released because of taxes. Then I told them I do not want the loan anymore and he said it will be a 125 dollar verification fee to cancel the loan. I was SICK! That was the last money I had can somebody please help me report them. It is not right for Scam Companies to take advantage of people, PLEASE!! I really need to know what to do

I received 4 calls this morning from whatever this company is - each time they used a different exchange. 848-480-6175, 347-377-8577, 848-480-6209, 202-239-5757. Each time they asked for Anthony. After the 4th call I asked them to stop calling as it was not Anthony's number. The caller asked if I was interested in a personal loan. When I said no, he told me to go to hell.
