I looked up this guy as well after the same type of incident. Luckily, I saw this. I'm a college student so I wasn't too stressed on also sending my address, then he sent a message exactly like yours with almost the same amount and told me to do the same. I told him I wasn't comfortable with that and that if he wanted the dress he would have to send a check for only my asking price, which was only $150.

Because of this site, we stopped a possible scam!  Thank you everyone!
We posted a kickboxing bag for $50 and this was the request of the "buyer" via email:

check payable to you due to the trust I have in you . My Financial
made it known to me that the check will cleared your bank immediately
and you can withdrawn the funds from your account after depositing
instantly. What you have to do now is that you will go and have the
check cash  and withdraw  $1500 out of the funds that was meant for
the mover and send it immediately  Via MONEY - GRAM money transfer at
any nearest WAL - MART STORE  then when mover  come to your location
for pick up the mover will collect the balance of the money from you
in cash.

Just got an email from this guy about my craigslist ad from prpaulraines604@gmail.com.
His 'english' writing just wasn't right.
Glad I searched his email, thought it was a scam, not I know it was.
Also got a text, probably same guy, but deleted the phone number, never recordeded it.

I thought the email I received was weird and so I used my p.o box instead, then google searched his email and this is what I found, hopefully nothing will happen since he seems to not like p.o boxes. I informed him that I am aware of his scam and that ill be notifying local police. Ugh

Got the offer from prpaulraines604@gmail.com for my posting on craigslist . Thanks to all your postings I believe I have just avoided a scam I could not afford.

I too had an email from this dude trying to buy a  print from me on Craigslist.  He wanted to "post " me a check and then have his "mover" come and pick up the item from me at my Physical address.  NO WAY!!  I emailed back and said the deal was off.  If I get a check, it will be returned to sender and the Police will be notified.  Perhaps they are friends of Thewodros????????  Just me - B

I also received a msg from this number after posting up a cell phone i put for sale on Craigslist. He gave me the story about him being a serious buyer and how he wanted to buy the phone as a gift for one of his nephews in Nigeria. This to me sounded suspicious since the beggining. He told me then that he needed my PayPal email address since thats the way he was gonna pay me. I fell for that thinking that PayPal was a secure way to pay you know. I gave him my email address and right away he told me that he had already deposited the money into my account. I checked my PayPal and i had nothing in the account. But i had i received a "PayPal receipt" to my email saying that I already had the funds ready to be deposited but that I wasnt gonna get them until i shipped the phone and sent them the tracking number. Upon this, I googled the area code and found this site and from there i realized that it was all part of a scam! Thank God for this site! From there, I compared the PayPal email that i received the day from the ones that ive received in the past. Upon comparing them i realized these scammers were the ones that made up the notification that i had supposedly received from PayPal. And they still dare to txt me two days later asking why i hadnt sent the phone yet. I told them i figured out what they were doing and they still dared to tell me that they didnt know what i was talking about. Filthy liars!
My advice to you is if youre selling something in Craigslist and you receive a txt from this number, dont even answer! theyre just trying to steal from you!

hey guys, i had posted an add for craigslist for a phone and i researched the name "jerome davis" and the phone number and found this website. he told me he wanted it for his nephews birthday. lucky enough i was able to stop the shipment of my phone. please if you run into this guy DO NOT give him any information, he wanted my paypal which i gave him but lucky enough i was able to get my phone back. please be careful with all scammers, if you post on craigslist try to get someone in your area to buy from you, its safer and easier! remember if you do meet with someone to drop off your item and receive the payment NEVER go alone. thank you all for posting and helping me. hope you have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I posted a computer desk on Craigslist also. Same thing. Texted me wanting me to ship a solid oak computer desk and would pay me $50 for shipping. Offered to pay with PayPal also. Sounds suspiscious

I got an SMS (text) from this scammer within 10 minutes of posting a new ad on CraigsList for my motorcycle, asking (in all capital letters) "do you still have it for sale??"... are you kidding? - typical scammer, and they are getting better at it too (I had changed some of my phone number to words & letters but he still texted me... impossible to place an ad anymore these days

My husband just posted a boat on craigslist for sale and thus person text him multiple times saying the price was great and he wanted our Paypal account and would send a courier to pick up the boat. Being curious i googled this number and find this site. Thank god i did. You people are lifesavers. We did not give him any information at all. He claimed he was buying it for his dad and the call was from yonkers ny. 347_470_5372 do NOT get scanned by this Guy. Be careful.

He text me about buying for his son.   Said that he was an Oceanographer.  Also last week I had a email from Warren Willma <prpaulraines604@gmail.com> asking me for my address, thinking that this was legit,  I emailed my name and address. I then received an email stating:

I had boat for sale on craigslist and this number contacted me with interest in the boat and said he wanted to purchase the boat for his son. He wanted my paypal email, full name and address. I told him i didnt have a paypal account but I do. I knew what this person was up to but I'm sure some dont.

They sent me a text about a car I have for sale. They wanted my info for my pay-pal account to send me money for the car. I googled the number, and it was from new york, and I am from indiana. They haven't even seen the car.
