my mother received a call from an unavailable number, she said it was not a native english speaker (so must be someone with arabic accent as everyone is reporting).... and asked for my father
Mom: He is not home, may I ask aho is calling
Caller: Shut your mouth, why are you asking me who am I
Mom: So that I can tell my husband when he comes home that you called
Caller: I am calling from Federal Government
Mom: What is the matter. Give me your phone number and name, I will have my husband call you
Caller: You guys belong to different country adn living in a different one.....

By that time my brother woke up and took the phone.

Brother: (pretending to be dad)...whats up
Caller: I am calling from Federal Government
Brother: What department...
Caller, you will find out waht department in few minutes when the police comes to arrest you
Brother: Let them come.

my mom got so scared, she said "we have never done anything wrong, whay are they calling us"..... We told her not to stress out as it is a scam and federal governemtn doesnt call you to alert you if they are coming to arrest anyone..... haha.....
my mother is very simple adn she got so stressed out about it....... these people have no life...... they will go to hell.....

they called me today saying that i got a $8000 loan from us cash and that they needed my attorneys info. they also let me know i had court thursday and that the "judicial police" would come to my house monday and take me to jail until then. i hung up and then called them back to ask what the name of their office was and the man told me ATTORNEY & LEGAL SERVICES and i asked for an address and he told me he was tired of giving out the address to people like me and to have my lawyer call...they left 2 very rude voicemails on my phone also...i called back again and they couldnt tell me anything about us cash except that they didnt have a website although i recieved an "online" payday loan from them.hilarious.

Like everyone else, I also got a message on my cell phone from New York Law Dept.  The voicemail they left on my phone said it was urgent I get back into contact with him or otherwise I would face serious consquences and be sent to jail.  When I called, Kevin Costner said that I was being arrested for a pdl that I got over the internet.  Interestingly, I have no pdl that is delinquent but to make matters worse, these people claim that they have my electronic signature.  However; when I asked them to send me written documentation, the man stammered and told me I was being "rude."  What angers me most is that Kevin Costner also called my work place.

Although I know this is a scam artist, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get them to stop calling me at work?  I have them blocked on my cell phone now, but apparently I can't block them at work.

I got a message on my cell phone today from New York Law Dept. The voicemail they left on my phone told me it was urgent I get back into contact with them. The man that left the voicemail said his name was Don McCloud. He had a froeign accent. When I called back a lady answered the phone. She said they have an affadavit for me to be arrested on a payday loan that I got over the internet. I don't even do the payday loans. The woman even told that US Cash didn't want their money they want to be put in jail for check fraud and other charges. Then when I arrived at work I found out the Don McCloud had called me back there.

I'm scared to death and want to know how to get them to stop calling me. Anyone have any suggestions? I called the local police authorities and they say theirs nothing they could do....

I got a call from this 510-408-7473  number, asking for an but a man whose name I couldn't understand and that's not mine. He IDed himself as Duane Schneider, he sounded a little tipsy almost, and said to have a lawyer call his division at the 347-470-5671 number. This was left last evening. Today I got a string of 3 calls in a row from this number, 818-293-7443 with no message. I checked and there is a recent thread going about that one with similar language and exact phrases to the message left from the other number. Specifically, that me or my attorney of record must call them back or they just "wish me luck as the situation unfolds on me." He never said what it was about so who knows, it wasn't even me they're looking for. Whatever their racket is, they apparently have at least a handful of numbers they are using.

These people keep changing their number and the "agency" they work for. They will tell you all kinds of things and even threaten to kill members of your family. I have been in touch with the FBI and the Federal Trade Commision. It would be good advice for anyone receiving these calls to do the same. The Federal Trade Commission gives you a reference # whcih can be updated any time they call from different numbers. This protects you from them messing up your credit because if your credit gets screwed up because of these a**holes, you have a report on file with a reference number and the Credit Bureaus will take the negitive info off of your report. I have been dealing with these people for some time now and beleive me, there are people who pays these people. I will never succum to their tactics!!!

They always change their names also so be ware and allert.

The guy was rude in the message he left talking about if you ignore this message all i can do is wish you luck as the situation unfolds on you. They had previously called and stated they could cause me to lose my job. WHAT EV!!! Ive paid employment and DHS background checks im clean as a whistle... So i think next time I will laugh...

Been ignoring calls from this number for a couple weeks, but finally returned the call today.  Same story as everyone else - going to be arrested, being brought "downtown," get an attorney, blah blah blah.  If this was a legitimate company with a real case, they'd be taking action instead of making prank phone calls :)

Today I received a message on my phone from this number.  However this same guy with an arabic accent has called me on three separate occasions.  The first time, he was David and was calling on behalf of a client because I owed money on some PDL I didn't take out.  The next week, he was Officer Jon Voigt and made the same claim that I'd better get a lawyer or I would be stuck facing some awful consequences and the second I received the message I needed to call him back.  This morning I got another call from this same person only he is now Officer Daniel Blatt and gave the same ominous message that if I didn't call back immediately the situation would unfold and there is nothing to stop it.  They have called me at work, and on my personal cell phone.  I block them for awhile, but since they keep changing phone numbers it only works for a bit before they get another number.  Very irritating and wish they would leave me alone.

This guy could barely speak english and despite my continuing to tell him he was being recorded and to not call my number anymore and hanging up on him, he kept calling claiming to be from an attorney's office. I finally told him to ***** himself and he told me that I was going to be arrested if I did'nt pay him the money I owed for the company he represented. Again I could barely understand him and I finally told him go for it, if he had the balls to come down and face me himself. I have done this for several days now and surprise I am not in jail because he is full of it. I have reported the company to the BBB and the FBI it has not seemed to do very much good I, can only block so many #'s. The best way I have found is answer the phone not say a word and set it down until he hangs up.

Its a scam.  You don't need to respond to him.  Don't answer calls from him.  Delete any messages he leaves.  If the calls are annoying you ask your phone company if they can be blocked.

Verizon charges to block calls.  Other companies may, too.  If the scammer is calling your cell phone you can put him in your contacts list and assign him the ring tone "no ring".  That won't stop the calls but it will make them easier to ignore.  Thats what Verizon told me to do when I was getting bill collectors looking for Michael the Deadbeat.

Durham....as you know this is a scam the atty general or the fbi really cant stop them there calling from india/pakistan they got your info from a pdl and there trying to scare you into sending them monies,,first place you cannot be arrested for a civil matter,a friend of mine told me that he does stop them when they call he wastes there time on the phone and when these fools say your going to be arrested he laughs at them and i mean laugh really loud this gets them upset they hate it when you laugh at them and waste there time on the phone, after a couple of more calls and your still laughing at them then they will realize that your a waste of time and there not getting any monies from you the calls will stop...unfortunately somewhere down the road maybe 6 months to a year the calls will start again and you continue to laugh at them..there scam is to get you upset and scare you but you upset them and have some fun with it

I received a call from this number about an hour ago. The guy said his name was Chris Carter although he had an Arabic accent. He said he was a paralegal and that I was being sued for a loan I did not repay. He said there was an affidavit against me, that I would be served a subpoena and arrest warrant, that I would be taken down to the courthouse, and that I would be jailed if I could not make the $8000 bail. He said my only other option was an OCR which would mean I would pay $550 to them today (and settle outside of court). He was quite detailed and told me to return his call at 347-470-5671 ext 616. However, be warned: THIS IS A SCAM! I would call your local police authorities if this happens to you. I did and reported the scam.
