I got a call and asked why if it was the NYPD did everyone speak with an Indian accent and then I said "i don't know what you are talking about and I have been reading all over the Internet about you"... The guy said "I"m sorry to bother you" and hung up.  I knew that if an officer really was calling he would not have left a message like that telling me about numerous complaints ...etc.. And ending it with "God bless".  Since when does someone tell you that you are in trouble and then follow up with a blessing...? Lol..

A person from this number using the name Victor Logan called me several times in one day claiming to be from a Law Enforcement office saying that I had applied and recieved an online loan for the amount of $800 and did not pay it back. The person threatened me by stating that there was a warrant out for my arrest and  that a hold was being placed on my social security number and that I would not be allowed to apply for credit or anything that required my social security number. When I informed this person that I had never received any such loan and asked to speak with someone that could speak actual english and explain to me what exactly was going on he began to curse at me hanging up on me several times and then calling back. It was obvious that it was a scam and they were trying to scare me thinking that they were going to get money from me. I'm glad that I recognized pretty quick that it was just a bogus scam. The sad thing is that some people fall for scams like this and lose everything.

I never answer number I don't have in my contacts, I let them go to voicemail first. After I listened to it, it was Officer Stanley Louche saying the same thing, but also that they had my SSN. I don't even have a check book! I called the police and they said absolutely do NOT call them back.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

ABC News released an investigative report on this scam in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

I have gotten 2 harassing voicemails with some Indian guy posing as "Officer Frank Johnson". Voices in the background, all sound like they are reading from a script. Even had a call from this lowlife at my work, telling me call immediately before I am arrested. Obviously they know nothing of how US law enforcement works. I am SO SORRY I ever filled out an online application for those scum companies.
Probably wise to inform your supervisors at work that you are being scammed.

UNBELIEVABLE. With all of our technology, how in the world is the U.S. unable to stop these calls!!!! We have contacted the FBI and filed reports with our police departments - yet the calls keep coming. Is anyone out there working on ridding us of these harrasing, persistent, rude calls?  Why can't they be stopped?  How many reports have to filed? Do these foreign scam artists realize legit U.S.service providers never threaten the way they do?

Called me three times back to back to back just now. This is a scam. Left a message saying my social was under state criminal allegations. I don't even live in that state. Nor have I been there for over a year smdh. You can tell whom ever calls is ready from a script and is not American. They want money sent right away so they don't send out 'authority' to come to my house. This is absurd.

This is a bunch of scam artists. Please people report these guys to the BBB and FTC. They need to be caught! Today their names were Stanley Lewis and John Gates... Claiming my husband is a criminal and stole money and they were coming to arrest him. My local Police Dept. said to contact BBB and FTC and if they call again, try to get as much info from them as possible, and to tell them stop calling and send a letter instead. Good luck everyone! Please warn your friends & family, especially those who are older and are more prone to give money or information freely. I hope these mofo's get caught soon because they are pissing me off!

THESE PEOPLE KEEP HARASSING ME. I WAS SCARED AT FIRST. ONCE HE TOLD ME TO GO TO WALGREENS OR KMART TO SEND THE MONEY I WISED UP. I CALLED MY LOCAL PROSECUTER AND HE TOLD ME IT WAS A SCAM. A DETECTIVE TOLD ME TO CALL CELL PROVIDER AND HAVE NUMBER BLOCKED.  WHEN THEY REPEATED MY SSN, I CALLED MY LAWYER WHO REASSURED ME OF THIS SCAM AND TOLD ME TO TELL THEM THAT I WAS ON TO THEIR GAME. HOPEFULLY IT WILL WORK BECAUSE THIS IS SCARY. THEY ALL HAD HEAVY ACCENTS.

When all else fails (and assuming you don't want to play with them) calmly explain to them that you know they're full of s***, they are nothing but frauds and that they will NEVER receive a single dime from you.
They exist solely for the purpose of relieving you of as much of your money as possible. If you can make them understand that their mission has failed they will move on. They are not known for there intelligence so be firm. Tell them that they can take their papers, their "Restraining Orders", their "Agents" and their "Investigators" and shove them up their a**. Fully convince them that they are wasting their time. They'll leave you alone...for a while anyway. Smart they're not, but damn they are persistent little parasites.

Get an education, at least learn to spell simple English words correctly. Scammers target the uneducated, looks like they hit some pay dirt when they found you!

So I get this message on my answering machine about an urgent matter regarding federal charges being braught against me. So being the person I am I called the number back with my Lawyer. I have had a whole credit team that I signed up for ever since I was accused of purchasing a car, which I did not do at all. So apon calling the thick accented man he told me that I was liable for the loan reguardless of what. I kept telling him that I never got an online loan, but he wasnt tring to hear that. So I spoke to his boss, which sounded exactly like him, and he kept saying that I had to take care of this matter or the Plaintiffs would press charges immediately. They all kept saying the same thing, Take care of the matter so that It wouldnt be braught to the courts! I mean what should I do?

I recieved 14 calls from this number in one day with one message left on voice mail from a man with a very strong accent stating he was officer Frank Harris and there was a dispute against me and my SS # and if I didn't call him back immediately then I would be arrested. They then proceeded to call my work where I told them NOT to call ever again! This is obviously a scam!
