asks if i want a laptop. also been getting texts from different numbers for other crap such as getting paid for secret shopping. i am so annoyed. i dont know how they got my number.

text msg asking if I want a laptop, while supplies last. I don't know who this is. I thought being on the do not call list would stop this but guess it doesn't work for text msg.

Text message saying "Shoppers: Earn $100/day!  Undercover shoppers needed to judge retail & dining establishments!  No experience required."

Got a text message: "Would you like a $200 gas voucher? Call 877-676-5831 for details"  What a waste...

Do any of you have a smart phone? Im thinking our information may have been scammed from an app that I downloaded...i called the number to ask how they got my number...i am changing my number tomorrow..tonight I also got a text from a guy wanting to chat and he sent his pic, when i asked how he got my number he said that someone was giving it out on live links...i dont give out my cell number to anyone and havent used any kind of chat for years!

Keep receiving this text message.  Made the mistake of opening it just to see what was up and it infected my entire address book.  This has been such a mess......hundreds of email going out under my address that aren't mine.  I've reported it to everyone and everyplace I can think of.

Trace the number, track them down, cut off their fingers.  Problem solved.

Unwanted calls

I don't see that reporting this has helped anybody. I'd assume the best thing is to ignore them.
I've been getting a spam text message every day around the same time of day.  I erase them so I don't know if they are all the same # or not.  This was today's number.

I'm so tired of these text messages on my phone and I want it stopped.

I have received 3 spam messages of this type today, two for gift cards, one for a laptop...from 3 different numbers...the last site I visited and game my number to was target, anyone else visit target recently and sign up for their text club?

I keep got a message from different number, four calls a day, here is one of them:

347-484-8949 is a cell phone located in NYC, NY. I did a reverse look up on the number. The second number I couldntget info on since its unpublished. I got the same scam text msg about calling the 800 number to get my gift card from walmart and gas card. Its all a scam. If you answer them in anyway, they consider you to be a live line and keep trying you with their scams. Who knows if it is even a person or a bot looking for a hacking point.

I got the same "Thanks for visiting our site" message. I just ignored it, and haven't heard anything else from them in a month... I saw on another site trying to find out who it is, someone paid one of those reverse phone number lookup sites, found out it's a Romanian Company.

I got the same exact messahe.
FYI: Look out for phone calls from InstaCash and/or Anderson Law Firm. HUGE scam going on right now

I'm sick of this person too.  What can we do?  We pay our phone bills and we should be able to report this to the people who put all all of those extra charges on our cellphone bills, they should be proctecting us, or sue this buthole for harssment.  The govt needs to protect us when we report this kinda stuff.  They can find out who it is, if not AARP can find anybody.

Got the same message as Craig and Paul.  I've been charged $9.99 once for opening one of these messages on my cell phone.

Got the same text about a $200 voucher....my number is even registered with the "Do Not Call" list.

I got an unwated text message from 347-484-8949.  Message was same as Craig...
"hanks 4 visiting our site  call 877-706-6424 to claim your $200 Retail voucher. Use gift code: RRv200"
I called the 877 number from a land line a someone from India answered.
Just an FYI, block this number through your wireless carrier.  I did it through Verizon's web site.
It wasn't that easy to navigate, but with persistence, you will be successful.

This is horrible.  I got one offer from it this morning, text back "STOP" thinking it would not only end that offer but all text.  Then 15 min ago got ANOTHER offer from this number.

I agree, how do they get our name and number?  I thought our cell numbers were free from this sort of thing.  Apparently, not!

Same as the others, how the hell do they get our numbers. Is there no way to block these places?

I received a texts from 347-484-8949 and other numbers offering loans in cash from www.CASH1600.com. This is uncalled for and a waste of MY text messages.

I got a text message that reads as follows:

"Get a loan in 24 hours! You could get up to $100! Visit www.PAY200.com"

I'm tired of this SPAM. I got a similar one from 347-781-6500 just 2 days ago. Reads "You could get a cash advance in 24 hours. Financial Freedom is 1 step away - Don't wait! Visit www.CASHDAY100.com"
