So this is an ESCO (Energy Service Co)?

This is the 2nd one I got today. Did not even see it as I was deleting the other scam phone number from my caller id and saw they called under a different name. I hate these people. I am able to file complaints with the Do Not Call Registry, they just don't do anything.

This a**-wipes call several times a day using different ID names like Power Dept, Winter Rebate...what the hell is the point of the Don't Call Registry!!!!?!??!! They won't even accept this number under their "file a complaint" option

They call multiple times a day. When I pick up, no one is there. EVER.  I called back and pressed a button to have me put on their do mot call list. I would like to press charges for harassment, especially since it is just air when I answer.

I get calls daily from different 347 numbers. It is always a different number and if you call back they say they will take you off their list BUT THEY DON'T

How do you stop these calls they are so annoying I tried blocking the numbers and they call from 1-347-502-2532, 2540, 2588, 2589, 2563, 2556, 2561, 2577, 2580, 2578, 2541.....please help!

Bought a whistle - when they called I used it and blew the idiots eardrums out. They were forewarned. I suggest everyone call them and do the same or if they're stupid enough to call you again, have it ready...its payback time.

They call multiple times a day, every day, at all times, with variations of the number and name.  I have actually gone as far as talking to the person who eventually comes on the line and asked that they stop calling this number, to no avail.

Most phone companies have a blocking service. For example, Verizon's FIOS Digital Voice service allows you to manage all calls. You can see all calls that came in, and flag calls like POWER ASSIST to be blocked. It's really easy. You can block up to ten numbers. After that, I hope legislation can be passed to prosecute these callers!

These people have constantly called my house for months and it's either an automated message, or they don't say anything at all. Scammers. Claim to lower my energy bills.

I've gotten calls from the following numbers before:
347-502-2577
347-502-2780

They probably have more numbers up their sleeves. I'm so sick of them. Every time I get a call, I'll report it to the Do Not Call registry. It probably seems useless, but I figured I'll do my part. Eventually they've got to put a stop to it if enough people complain, right?

On a different note, not all ESCO's are bad (but most are). I've recently switched to another supplier several months back with a lower cost. I've asked them to give me a day to make my decision, which gives me time to research their company. Of course, I have still my doubts, so I keep a close eye on my bills every month and make sure I'm not enrolled into those annual contracts. So far, so good. Just have to be really careful when it comes to giving out information on the phone.

@NYC, I wasn't aware you could call Con Ed to have these calls blocked... any particular number?  I'm sick of them, they call around this time every day, I've asked to be put on their DO NOT CALL list numerous times but it makes no difference.   I am on the DNC registry but that appears to be pointless as the calls keep coming.

these stupid scammers keep calling. Every day I get several calls and all start 347-502-xxxx (different endings and names like Energy reduction). They are all energy scammers (ESCO's). They have nothing to do with ConEd and they are a total rip off. Beware, do not talk to these people and keep an eye on your ConEd (or other) bill to make sure you haven't been illegally changed to a new supplier. I was illegally changed last year and the scammers even went so far as to have a phony recorded call of a hispanic lady pretending to be me! I called ConEd and have blocked all ESCO's permanently.

I don't have a Con Ed account, but these people call me every day asking me about it. There doesn't seem to be any way to stop them

Started with this number today but I have received them under many different ones and have been reporting them. They will not stop.Today my Caller ID said Power Dept.
