Getting annoying calls all day and don't answer.  This one said Rebate Center.

I am sick of getting these charge card calls. Can't seem to stop them. Any ideas? I am supposedly on Do Not Call List. I try to talk to real person and that doesn't seem to happen.

this number calls, do not know anyone with this area code or number,  I let recorder/voice mail pick it up, they wait and then hang up.  Very annoying.  Even  if telephone solicitor, leave message, even if I'm on do not call list with the government.

The card services scammer's recorded message should say "press 1 now to speak with one of our friendly customer services agents who will be happy to rip you off, in order to earn their commission to pay for their drug habit".

I never answer phone calls from unknown callers and my answering machine hasn't been turned on since before elections 2012.  But from reading the other entries from people who actually spoke to one of these butt-wipe representatives or at least heard some robo voice giving a spiel, it's obvious that this is indeed a telemarketer.  They seem to have been around for quite some time under different Caller ID names, but the same phone number.  They, like apparently all telemarketers obviously have nothing to fear from the DNC.  Every time I receive a call like this, I imagine the individual who is in charge of perpetrating such a scam, is really not trying to lower your credit card rates, or audit your household energy costs, but instead is really trying to sell 8X10 full color glossys of the weekend he spent in upstate NY having sex with all the farm animals.

Caller ID said Rebate Center, recorded message said that this was my final notice for lowering my credit card interest..  Have had many calls from them befiore, same message.

"Card member services.  This is your final courtesy call before we close the file on your annual credit card account review.    We have sent you several courtesy letters to your residence.   This is the last time to take advantage of lowering your credit card interest rate.  Press 'one' now to speak to a friendly customer services agent."

Just got a call from the same number with the exact same message, so I pressed 1 and asked who they were, who they were calling and in reference to which card, in which case he just said yes you can lower your rate, again I asked the same 3 questions and they hung up! I knew they were scammers cause nothing they said in the recorded message was true!

So annoying!

Call came in as "Customer Dept". Asked if there was anyone age 14 or under in the household. I hung up on the pedophile predator.

Another one of the spoofed numbers used by the "card services" scammers in their attempts to rip us off. Google my name to learn how to stop their annoying calls, while also having some fun!

One thing that has cut down on these types of calls for me (if the calls are actual people calling) is the recording I have on my answering service.  At the end of my personal recorded message, I have added, "If you are a telemarketer, be advised that your call WILL NOT be accepted at this number".  It's amazing how few calls I get since doing that.  Hope my suggestion helps.

Got a call a few minutes ago. Had a heavy oriental accent and said that his name was Jim ... must be one of the Jims from Thailand or Bombay.

I just play on, leading him to believe that I was deep in debt with high credit card balances and interest rates. He asked me if my zip code was (our previous zip code, we moved out of that zip code last year). I told him yes, and stated that he should not be asking for such basic information.

He asked me to confirm to him the last four numbers of my SS# .... I reaped his A.. and told him that I was not going to fall for the scam. I also told him that the information that he has for me is wrong.

This number is currently being used by the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an effort to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers so they can rip us off. People that have given these lowlifes their card number have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these scum, and warn others before they are cheated!

Have reported this number to the D.N.C. folks, hoping that the calls will stop.  All have been recordings, female voice, telling us that they have very important info on our credit card, & that they have unsuccessfully tried to reach us many time.  No way, Jose!  Don't deal with these crooks.  Report them.

Believe this is a scam.

Whoever is using this cell# again, has given us the same blurb about a credit card, having notified us many times, and this is our last chance.  After so many of us have reported this occurrence, it sure does seems like they could find out who is using this number!  Until they do.........JUST hang up on the callers, don't do any of the things that they tell you to, and if you CAN block numbers, BLOCK  THIS  ONE.

Even though I have used the "DO NOT CALL" number, I still get calls from this number.

I received a call from these people today.  I found no message left for me.  Caller ID says 'Rebate Center' but I have not bought anything for which I would be waiting for a rebate.  I looked this number up on other sites and discovered that it was a spoofed number for a telemarketer.

I knew It was sort of a scam. When I asked who I'm talking to the person hung up.  It came through as a credit card issue. Please don't be a sucker.

I received one of these calls today, 06/12/13.  No one answered when I picked up.  I felt so satisfied in blocking this number on my home phone.  No more calls from them.

Called my landline at 10:23am on 6/12/13.   Caller ID showed "Customer dept."    Caller left a message on my answering machine.  Call was a robocall of a recorded female voice claiming it was my "last chance" (don't I wish) to get my credit card rate lowered.   Message said:

For the record, they didn't send anything to my residence.   Also, I'm on the DNC.  Rachel returns.   Will file a complaint with FTC; that should solve the problem.   Ha ha......

caller Id stated REBATE CENTER....no message left.  called back got busy signal...tried again got message right away push  #1 to not be called again.  347-502-2589..called numerous times after   can bget nothing but a busy signal.

Called and left no message on my answering machine.  I added the area code/phone number to my blocked caller list.

Do yourselves a favor folks and get a call blocker.  Sell a kidney and/or first-born if you must. :-)   I used money that I might have otherwise contributed to annoying political parties and charities.  After the constant calls, I decided to put the money to better use.  The resulting absence of annoying calls is worth it.

3/28/13 I too am a "do not call" registered number and I have reported so many numbers and times of robo callers to Do not call/gov.  All apparently to no avail and NO help.  It pisses me off that these guys can sneer at us and the government agency with complete impunity.
