Several times this call begins with, this is the police dept. advising you to install a home protection sign that will deter robbers at no cost to you. Your area is a high target for theft and you will get free protection if you dial 1 or dial 9 to unsubscribe.

I didn't dial any number I closed the line.  I will call the police in my city and ask if it's a scam,  why can't they stop them from using the police's name.

Uk caller has called two or three times. Thought I had signed up not to receive these calls must have expired

Annoying, unwanted call.  Once my answering machine picked up they just sat there and breathed into the phone for about 10 seconds.  Pretty Creepy.  If your not going to leave a message then hang up when an answering machine picks up.
