Here is the super interesting thing about these calls... I get them at work.. ONCE a week.. Different numbers, but the same type of message.. I've learned to pickup the phone.. wait a few seconds (you can gauge what's going on in those few seconds), and then just let them listen to dead air... I received no less than 6 calls from 347-55-1814 within a 3 minute time frame. Interestingly enough... I received a call from the same number the previous week... Always ONCE a week... different numbers, different "people" but this is the second time I've heard "Federal Legislation Legal Department". Never got the address from the first one,

Oh! Forgot the best part... the extremely long pauses as "Peter" attempted to say the words in English... it was really quite painful. I understand that people cannot speak English, and I certainly applaud those who try, and do, BUT, when you are "representing" a entity that DOES NOT EXIST, threatening me with, I'm not sure what, because I'm still waiting for the "situation to unfold on me" at least TRY to sound like you know what you are saying, and what it actually MEANS....

Now this dude was ?threatening?. I called the SOB and got his ?address?, which was a legal law firm in Chicago? Called them, and they said that they had received NUMEROUS complaints from people, and that they were not the ONLY firm in Chicago to be used as the ?front?. I called this idiot back and told him I needed his Illinois Bar number... "Why do you need my barcode?" OMG... I actually laughed out loud... A true belly laugh.. "Said, no you incompetent moron, your BAR number..." "Barcode?" Told him I was a lawyer and threw out a jumbled mess of letters and numbers... He quickly hung up...

I've just got a call from this number, and the lady had an Indian accent. She said that she was with Federal Legal Legislation. She told me that I had to call the attorney for more info of why I was being investigated. So I told her to have her attorney send me something in mail to explain what's going on. Then I will give the letter to my attorney and he will contact you. She kept saying that she couldn't do that just write the number down. I ended the conversation with if you call me again on my phone or at my job you will be reported to the authorities. I hung up and she didn't call back.

I GOT A CALL FROM SOMEONE BY THE NAME OF PAUL WHITE SAID THAT HE WILL HAVE ME ARRESTED FOR FRAUD--BE VERY CAREFUL BECUZ THEY USE SS # TO CONFIRM THEY SPEAK TO--I NEED HELP TO STOP GETTING THESE CALLS.

I don't know how these people got my number but they call me about 5 times a day asking for me to call back or to have my attorney call back. I am not really sure what they are calling about because the person speaking has a really heavy accent. How do I make it stop? :(

To all people taken by this scam, there is an FBI Offical Warning about these people, plus a place to submit REPORTS on these scammers. Also my suggestion is to report to your bank and change your account information, plus check your credit reports.

These guys have been calling me for 3 days now, telling me the exact same thing. Calling at 7:30 in the morning and that in itself is against the law. They have yet to tell me what the criminal charges are. FBI will do nothing about it. Was advised to keep hanging up on them. They gave me an address in the Bronx also. Told him I don't talk to "t**** heads", speak english "MF" How can we get these people off our backs. There has to be a way to stop their threatening & harassing phone calls.
