Calling repeatly, delay before call connected, can hear other conversations in background, some type of telemarketing scam.

These a**les call me at least twice a day.   Now, I just answer the line and immediately hang up.

some shady little call center overseas. heavily accented individuals call everyday, here's a suggestion: just play along for the fun of it - give them false information just to waste their time, it amuses me if I'm bored LOL!

Received a call like most people mentioned.  Guy asked for the owner by name thinking I was that person.  Told him my name and he hung up.  I could hear the call center people in the background.    I called the number back and got the same message as everyone else here.   We are already registered on the National do not call list.   Next time I'm going to pretend I'm the owner, see what the hell they want .... Then cuss the sh*t out of them!!  I get these irratating calls all the time.    Don't let these A**H***'s  hang up on you!  Play the role, order/request for everything their offering, then Cuss them off.  ...Then simply hangup!  =)

This number called our store and the woman was very rude. She said she needed to speak to the Owner  
( asked by name) and stated, in broken English, it was an extremely emergency that she needed to speak RIGHT NOW (yelling) > I calmly asked "what it was in regard to?" She again screamed her case as if a family member was in the hospital and  I needed to hand the phone over lives were at stake... I laughed to myself and offered to take a message only to be hung up on... I hope they never call back cuz next time ill be ready!!! haha

Called my business line with a very thick accent asked to talk to the owner. I told him "this is an order only line would you like to place an order?". Caught the guy off guard no response. Maybe that will end it.

I received several calls also saying we qualified for a pre approved loan however he wanted our merchant statement for credit card charges we bill to our customer.  I called him on this scam and he hung up on me.

It appears we all have had the same experience.  A person, in my case a man, with a very thick accent asked to talk to the owner.  I told him the owner does not take calls and he replies rather rudely, "Well I have to talk to the owner because this is a very urgent financial matter."  I told him I was able to take care of that for him and he said, "Your business is qualified for a cash advance loan."  I told him we weren't interested and hung up on him.  How exactly is that an urgent matter?  These people are scum.

Got a call from this number and could hear the call center people in the background, so when he asked for me by name I hung up the phone and set it to remember that number as "CRAP". Since my landline is forwarded to my iPhone, I can set the number and ring tone to ignore the call in the future. The calls are from a computer robot dialer, so you will not get the same number depending on how they set it up. This does afford them some benefit to calling good people like us, but I will always know what a call center sounds like and will hang up without any trebidations. Best of luck to all who receive these calls and hopefully they will find the same fate as Jerry Sandusky.

These people call almost daily and ask for the owner by name. When I asked them to take us off their call list the foreign man responded with "I WILL NOT!" and hung up.

These people are rude - no phone/social skills. Asked that they stop calling and they ignored that.

another call from these people, told them this is a residence.  they said sorry.

This number called our store and the woman was very rude. She said she needed to speak to our manager and was very insistent he was available even tho he wasn't even in the store. She tried to tell me that I wouldn't get in trouble for letting her talk to him, and then it was that I was lying to her, she could hear the lie in my voice.
When I offered to take a message and have my manager call her back when he got back into the store, she called me a liar again, said I wouldn't deliver the message or would write the number down incorrectly so she'd never hear back from him. She said she was going to call back and demanded to know when my manager was going to be available. When I said about 45 minutes, she hung up! Rude, rude, rude.

This company calls every day at least once. I asked to be taken off the list and was told "no" and hung up on.... They call on our 800 line and cost us money too. Such crap!

My receptionist is soooo agitated with people calling from NWYRCYZN01 NY (most always from a different phone number, perhaps they are using a calling card). They sometimes call several times a week.

I keep telling her to just tell them we are not interested and hang up. Especially to not give anyone information over the phone. We have asked them repeatedly to not call us but the calls still continue.

So today, after yet another call from the same NWYRCYZN01 NY, but from a different number, I told her to next time to politely tell them she needs to put them on hold for a bit and then to just leave them on hold. If they call back, just do it again... each and every time NWYRCYZN01 NY calls, just politely put them on hold.

If it is a calling card then we'll be using up their minutes & time. The internet suggests it might be a calling card. In any case it might make her feel better, because she is wanting to scream at them and that would be unproductive for both of us, besides raising our stress level. Have fun with them :)

It was a restaurant marketing company (solicitation).

Calls here a couple times a week, never answer.  They called one time at 2 AM!!!

FCC only considers evidences where you have answered calls ....as a log of calls not only calls coming in and not answered which is your suggestion which is absolutely a stupid suggestion GO HOME .Dont know nothing. its not gonna solve my problem.
To file a complaint to DNC registry is also the most stupid thing cuz until you ans and tell them to put you on DNC they wud not be able to put us on DNC and if they go ahead and put it and you still get call only then it makes sense to go ahead and file a complaint.
Phone Nos are not let out by the phone carriers but us who let our nos out which is obvious in the form of may be advertisement or for business purpose , so WATS the use of filing a complaint with the phone carrier when its us who goes ahead and let out our telephone nos.
Police for what ?

We can stop these calls simply by not answering any number we don't recognize.
Look up the number here or on Spokeo.  Find out who it is before answering.  
If the call says Out of Area, Toll Free, Unknown, Blank, etc don't answer before knowing who it is.  

Then file a complaint with the FCC.
File a complaint with the DNC registry
File a complaint with your phone carrier.
Finally file a complaint with the Police.  

They can call a number all day if they want to but if we don't answer they get no where.  (and if they call all day we have a log of the date and times they have called.  Makes great evidence.

So if you do not recognize the number DO NOT ANSWER.

We just added them to our block list on our phones.. They refused to identify themselves and keep calling back.  Very rude, and very difficult to understand with their accent.

I got a call from this number and asked for the Owner I stateted that the owner was not in and was out of town for a family Emergency the guy said I was full of s*** and needed to get the owner I dont appreciate this at all And want a manager to call me back

I work at a car repair shop. They just called, the man has a very heavy accent, I could hear other heavily accented individuals laughing in the background. He kept screaming and asking for the owner, the kid of screaming you do when you are falling, lol. I asked why he was shouting, and if he needed a tow truck or something and he responded "I am have every problem ever, I need help, please talk to boss" lmao, I just hung up, can't call back either, apparently everyone is with a customer.

I tried calling the number back..to see the name of the company...

caller asked for our owner..by name..I said, "may I ask whose calling" he says, my name is Brian, but I need to speak with *owners name* He had a thick foreign accent. Very rude. so I placed him on hold, then told him that he was not answering the page...could I please take a message...he was rude and said he would call back. then while I was trying to speak...hung up.

Just got the call - I said I could make financial decisions for the company and the woman (very heavy accent) started telling me we were qualified for a cash loan.  Told her not interested and hung up.

9/24/12 10:48 AM Received an usolicited call from:347-566-6395,  Caller was very rude and insisted on talking to Owner.  When ashed nature of call he was even mure rude and said he had to talk with someone in management.  Call ended.
