I received a call about two nights ago from a young last named Tiffany saying she was with youth services and asked for my father. I informed her that he had recently passed away, and asked what the call was regarding.  She sincerely apologized for the call and explained that my father had been a wonderful supporter for children's wish foundation, and that they were trying to get back in touch with him for this year. She again apologized for the call and said she would update their records so that we would no longer receive calls. And expressed condolences for the loss of my father. Since she was so polite I asked her about the organization.  She was very informed on what the charity did and answered every question I asked politely And professionally.  I ended up picking up where my dad left off and donating his usual $25. After the call I researched the info
she gave, everything she told me was completely correct according to their website and that of give.org. ill be a repeat donor

They do usually call after 8pm at least on week days, but they call on Saturdays starting at 10am as well.  I haven't answered them either.  It registers as a New York number which usually indicates cell phone, but I didn't think telemarketers used cell phones.

Have had two early-morning (prior to 7:30 am) calls this week --CWI on caller ID.  No voicemail left.

I keep getting calls from this #+I really am getting upset+disturbed by them . Is there any thing I can do to stop them ? Any info would be greatly appreciated . They are very annoying calls which should be stopped .

Received 3 calls within the last 2 days. Two of them were within an hour of one another.  And they always call after 8 p.m. Didn't answer any of them.  WHO ARE THEY????  I did a phone # search but of course, it doesn't come up.

I picked up the call on the first ring, usually someone is there if you catch it early enough. Anyway, it is a fundraiser for kids wish foundation.  I have donated before, but only through mail.  They will fax their statement to you as well.  Also, if you talk to them and tell them no, they will stop calling, at least for several months anyway.

We receive a call from this number every night around 830 CT. Caller ID says youth services, and I looked it up. Seems to be coming from NYC (Manhatttan). Must not be important as they NEVER leave a message. We do not appreciate their persistance.

Got 2 calls on a Sunday the last one was at 8:49pm. Didn't answer and no message was left. I an also registered on the national donot call list. Whats up with this?

As far as I know, they really are legit, but I've told them we don't wish to donate this year TWICE and they still continue to call.

I also was getting these calls every night around 8:30 p.m. Finally one night I did pick up and before the caller started the drill I reqested they remove our number from their call list.  A Manager came to the phone and ask that they could at least call us once a year and I said NO and told them if they continued to call they would get reported and hung up.  Have not received a call since.

Get a call every night from CWFI.  Getting a bit annoyed.

Get a every evening between 8:30 - 9:00 p.m.  We do not answer and they never leave a message.  They are becoming a PITA. Does anyone know how to stop them from calling.  I do not pick up if I do not recognize the Caller ID and they never leave a message.

Get at least one calls per day every evening around 8:30 p.m.  We do not answer and they never leave a message.  Thank the Lord for Call ID.  If we do not you, we do answer.  If it's that urgent they can leave a message.  I WISH they would stop calling us.

When you call the # back you get a recording making you feel like crap for not donating. It gives you an option to press something to be removed from their calling list. When you select that option, you have to say the name of the individual charity you want to be removed from. There are about 800 charities on the list. You can not say "ALL" or something to that effect, so don't try. You would have to call back 800 times and listen to the spill and say the name of each charity.

(347)584-2040 called today. No answer usually when picked up and no msg when not. Appears to be a direct marketing company employed by a Children's Wish Foundation Intl. When someone does talk they refer to themselves as "Youth Services".  Just another bothersome marketing company.

I called and did the same--

I told them I was upset about the calling tactics and they responded with saying they had someone else make their calls and could they still send me stuff in the mail---found that to be rude.  Call to complain and STILL ASK FOR SOMETHING!!!!

They also needed my address to take me off the list...can't look me up via phone number from their system.  They obsiously hire these telemarketers and "buy" phone numbers from them---it CWFI gave the telemarketers the phone numbers to call they wouldn't need my address.

None the less- they promised to have me removed from the list---but I'm not holding my breath.  It will just alert the telemarketers that it's a valid number and they can use it for whatever other telemarketing contracts they have!  

The do not call list is a load of crap---I get calls all the time!  The do not fax list is even worse!

yea they exist we get their stuff in the mails all the time...this is prolly the second time they had ever called..but just as annoying as them telemarketer..once we say "no" ..they should just accept the answer and thanked us for the call.

I called their corporate office and was guaranteed to be removed from their list. They use a call center to do their calls, my attempts to contact that call center and be removed were futile (347-584-2040 is the call center). We'll see what happens... If charities want to maintain a good image they have got to get away from these tactics of contacting people.

They keep calling between 8:00 & 8:30 PM and always ask for my wife.  They will not leave a message and say that they will call back at a later time.  When asked who they are, they reply "Community Services".
