this sounds like the same guy that called me and said the FBI will be at my door tomorrow to arrest me.  I did take out a loan but paid it back in full.  He was able to verify my place of employment and home address which shook me up becuase I was like WTF!@!!  he then offered to settle the case for half of what it was originally.  Then I said why should I pay you when I already did and I have not received any notice of litigation or summons to appear in court.  he began yelling at me saying "Fine if you want to go to court and pay 5000 go ahead."  I contacted cashnet and found out that there is a fraud case going around. What the hell.  Stress I didnt' need. I'm going to contact my own attorney and press charges.

I got a call from this number ... they left a message that I didn't understand.. they called my work, cell, and boyfriends cell too.  I returned the call and the mailbox was full and generic.

i have messages saved back as far back as feb 2010 ....they dont quit....well maybe for awhile but call at least 1-3 x week now ...same nonsense as everyone else has said.....from india or pakistan usually an american name  ie- james reynolds today .....always wish me good luck and if i dont call or my retained atty doesnt call all they can do is wish me good luck and a good day ....they are calling my work , a friend of mine also .....i am spending time next week again contacting the local police atty general fcc etc ...somehow they must be caught.

They asked about an acquaintance I see rarely and then said he had borrowed 448 dollars on a payday loan and used me as a reference and i would be responsible to pay it.  An indian accent in a noisy room.  Identified himself as Jean Paul.

Same as above. Sounded foreign, said it was time sensitive, made threats that I could face charges. When I hung up, they call right back. They left a message, said his name was Michael somerhing (hard to make out from the heavy accent), left a number, told me to call back NOW and if I didn't he wished me good luck. I saved the message as evidence. 347-607-3833 was the number they told me to call back. I contacted my local PD. I will escalate it.

I'm the same person as the two above posts.

I'm now getting calls again - from the same number, and the exact same voice - stating that his name is "Officer" something or other, and that I need to call him back at his division immediately.

I'm through filing complaints; I'm going into town tomorrow to file a full police report for harassment, misuse of the telephone, and impersonation of a peace officer.

Maybe the police knocking on this fellow's door will stop him from harassing people.

Same issue as said in the other complaints above. I hung up on them and they called me right back. Told them to mail me paperwork and we will go from there. We will see if they call again.

I have subsequent contacted CashNet Marketing USA, and have learned that these people are in no way connected with their company.  I was transferred to their Fraud/Compliance Department, and spoke with a rep who filed an incident report.

I wasn't satisfied, though, given that these people somehow have my entire range of personal information, so I contacted the New York State Office of the Attorney General (The number is based out of New York City).  They told me that even if money didn't change hands yet they can go after them for telecommunications fraud and consumer fraud.  I've got complaint documents in the mail.  The rep told me that the Attorney General's Office would dig out who this company is, and would then transfer it to law enforcement.

Also filing complaints with the FCC, FTC, and BBB.

Do NOT send these people money.  Complete fraud.

Received several messages from this number from a person with a very heavy Indian/Pakistani accent.  He says that his name is "officer" something or other, and that it is very time-sensitive, and I need to call him back immediately.  He also says that if I don't return his call the moment I receive the message, I will face consequences.  Then, at the end of the message, he says that if I don't call back he wishes me good luck.

Now, I looked up CashNet Marketing, and it's a Payday loan company.  We applied for one through them several months back, but never heard back from them, so they had my full identity information, including SSN.  That concerns me.

He asked for my attorney's information, and acted overly surprised when I said I'd never heard of this situation before.  He told me I could forward a lump sum to their office to settle the suit, but that he couldn't send me any paperwork through the mail since I didn't have an attorney already on the case, because it's "sensitive documents."

Number based out of New York City.  I'm reporting this to the FCC, and the NY Attorney General's Office.  I encourage everyone to do the same; these are scam artists, and they're trying to take advantage of people.

Total scam, don't worry, it's not real you don't owe money.

Starting to get a call from an Attorney Barry who is full of it.  He says that I owe money to CashNet and said that sheriff will come looking for me.  He keeps calling my office as well.

I am sick of these people calling me someone name Steven but he cant tell me any info except that I owe them money from a lawsuit, he wont send anything in the mail he says its illegal for him to do that, they call me all day long and if I dont answer the just hit redial and continue to call me, THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGALL WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THESE PEOPLE???

Got a call from this number. The caller did not leave any message.

I too received a call from this number and to me, it came across as threatening.
I will be reporting the saved message to my local authorities as this person calls numerous times during the day!

It's a scam dont give this guy any info !! Dont even talk to him, or listen to his BS, hang up on him, tell him not to call back or cuzz him out then hang up and do it every time he calls, he will get tired of it. You cant reason with him..IT IS A SCAM, AND HE CHANGES PHONE NUMBERS FREQUENTLY

just got the call.  Guy left a VM. he said if i didnt return his call, he wishes me good luck with what is to come.

Today 4-28-11 the same guy alway is from india or some of that countries he change the # every time i told him i will call the police,he use the same message when  i don't answer .These people call me 2 to 4 days a week i am  so sick they call me to my work when i don;t answer or when i tell them is not me who looking for.

Yet another call...from yet another phone number from the Foriegn India scammers. This number comes up like it is coming from the bronx. I tried to find out more information on the phone number and of course it it a cell phone - probably one of those pre-paid cell phones that was probably purchased in the bronx or purchased with a bronx phone number but the person is in INDIA...I am so sick of these people and their message....this message is intented for.....as SOON as you receive this message. you or your retained attorney need to call me back. This is of an urgent matter (of course it is...) I don't get any money unless I can get some of yours)....if you don't call me back all I can say is good luck and god bless....I call him back and tell him who ever he is looking for is not at this number. He tells me to hold on so he can get my info...yeah right. he calls back again today and again I tell him who is looking for is not at this number...he's like but this is the number...I said well maybe she  (me) changed her number. These people are beyond annoying - give it up already!!!! Don't they know that everyone is on to them? I guess they just don't care..don't pay these people a penny......
