Yep he wanted to buy my car for sale in NZ for his son in Malaysia. Was going to organise shipping and collection - very kind of him!

Got anemail from him in NZ. Wants to buy my car for son in Malasya, can't come have a look as in he sea (biologyst). asked for pictures and stuff. Said long story about PayPal and it's convenience... Good thing my friend googled him and found all this!

This guys is emailing me now about buying my boat I have listed on kijiji in Ontario. Said that he wants to buy it right away and would like to pay through PayPal

Happened to me just today too about my car for sale on TradeMe. Got a e-mail reply in about 2 minutes which I thought was strange because I emailed a full description of the vehicle and he/she sent a full detailed payment description in this time. SCAM SCAM SCAM! so glad that I googled "tepperjulian@gmail.com" before going ahead with anything!! I knew it was dodgy as soon as he said that he'll buy the car without seeing it. Please warn anyone who has a sale listing online!

The Fruitcake sent me a text about my car for sale and I sent an email as requested then got the how low and send photos blurb too. Smelt a rat and Googled the name; bingo! twisted weasel on the loose..

Happened to me exactly the same just now.  I actually sent an email and link to Trade Me about my car im selling. Good thing i googled the name and found this.

Yep, I just replied with a HAHAHAHHAHA and told him to get a life. Obviously, I received no reply. I smelled a rat the minute it said 'it'. How low would you go for 'it' and can i have more photos of 'it'. Anything that uses pronouns like that is just a mass message used for scamming. And then it just got worse with 'My name is... I am a marine biologist... Can only contact by email.....In Malysia.....Have a contact...Shipping details.....' My recommendation: Familiarise yourselves with the way scammers work. Anything with signs like this and ll you have to do is copy nd paste the first sentence of the email into google.

Same here with this Julian Tepper.......Wanted to buy my boat via pay pal. He's a Marine Biologist working off the coast of nz and can only communicate by email and wanted the boat for his son who's working in Malaysia. Said he had a contact in the shipping industry who would sort out all the pick up and delivery details. Even went to the trouble of asking for more photos than were posted on Trade Me (what a waste of my time). Luckily I did a google search on him and found this site before going any further. He was very convincing......beware people!!!!!!

Same story. I'm in NZ - got a text saying to email his mum (the "marine biologist") and then looked him up and found all of this. DODGY.

it has happened to me aswell.... unfortunately i was a total shmuck and sent 1 lot of shipping fees thru paypal and western union... once id made the MTCN (money transfer) i was instantly congratulated by paypal (go figure) an hour later paypal was back telling me the shipping fees were wrong and i needed to pay more.
Ive since ignored the emails from paypal (must be a fake site) and emails from Julian Tepper. Ive reported it to the NZ Police. I am well aware I will not get my money back and Ive been an idiot not thinking it thru properly.
I just want everyone to be aware....how  these people can lie straight in bed at night is beyond me....

Got an SMS from +27 74 2** *754 - saying he is interested in my car (for sale online in NZ), and I should please email his mom, in NZ on the same tepperjulian.gmail.com address...
Julian Tepper - the marine biologist - emailed me backing, wanting more pictures of the car...
I replied, asking about his internet infamy, how he intends to pay - got no reply.

This guy says he is in Sault Ste. Marie and wants to buy my boat. That is logical for me because I am only a couple of hours away.
I have nearly completed this transaction before I found this site. If it is a scam how can it work through Paypal?

Another day another attempted scam, this douch bag needs a new story. Google actually autofilled my search for Julian Tepper - the now famous marine biologist. Funny part is he was trying to get down on my junker old 1998 Nissan Maxima I got for sale here in NZ.

Same story here except I live in Prince George BC, This guy's busy! I guess if he tries enough people someone will bite. Too bad, sad world we live in when these jerks can scam people so easily.

Just got the same message from the same number and I live in Windsor, Ont.

my brother got a text from this same number inquiring about purchasing his boat in New Brunswick....Glad we looked it up online.....SCAM, Scam, scam...... wanting to buy a boat, but he's offshore working at sea since he's a marine biologist and wants to buy the boat for his son and wants to quickly do the transaction via Paypal.....

I just recieved a text asking if the item i have for sale on kijiji was still avaliable. I find it weired that a phone number located form the Bronx in New York would be inquiring about something for sale in Halifax NS Canada ??????
