I just received a call from these idiots as well. The turd with the indian accent said his name was "Attorney" Steve Martin. He told me i had to pay 900.00 immediately or an officer from New York would arrest me, I live in El Paso though. He wouldn't give any other info, but became Extremely mad when I asked. He gave me the number to the police officer so I played along and called. His name was Mike Anderson, but he sounded just like the first guy. He said if you don't pay, I'm going to arrest you and then said Good luck! And then hung up. I tried to call back, but the call didn't go through. He called me back a few minutes later so I put my First Sergeant on the phone and he hung up in her face... Tried to call back and it kept saying all circuits are busy. I called the police department in El paso and the officer told me it was a scam and to make a report.

I have also been receiving phones calls at work from 282-7262524 with a message from an Indian accent guy giving a message to call back 347-637-6449 about a debt we have.  After trying to get them to stop calling my job number, i called the number back and they told me about some payday loan that we did not repay and he was from some law firm.  He used my name but gave my husband's SS# and some off-ball email address.  And claimed that it was in the contract that they would only follow up by email regarding the repayment.  This was after i asked why something like this was not sent by mail to us.  I would greatly appreciate if someone could help me on what to do and how to get these people to stop calling my job

Prank Call
These are scam artists. They have somehow gotten their hands on people's names that have taken out PayDay loans in the past. They claim the loan was not paid and try to get people to pay with a Credit or Debit card. They will not take checks because they have no legitimate mailing address.
They are calling in from another country. The Illinois States Attorney is aware of this scam but can do nothing because they are out of the country. They attempt to be intimidating and become rude. The local number is rerouted via an ISDN line. They change their number every week. They obviously have some success in bilking people as they are still in business.
Have some fun, ask to talk to somebody who speaks English.
Ask for a mailing address.
Be creative and piss them off. Tell your friends about this scam.

UUUGGGGHHHH.......I got the exact same call from the exact same person.....what angered me even more was they called me AT WORK!!!  I work in a school......how embarrassing to have to whip someone's keister while at work.  I ticked him off so bad, he said f-you to me 4 times!  I have already been contacted by the likes of these people and have already contacted the state attorney general's office.  They suggest I stop them from talking and demand they give me the name of their firm, street address, city, state, and zip code.  If they can not supply you then you know it is a scam.  I asked these questions and all of a sudden there was "another call".......well, the "other" call was the moron trying to come up with a quick street address, city, state, and zip to make it look good.  Hopefully they won't call me again!  If they do, I'll play the game and win again!!!!

I received a call from these jokers.  They kept calling for some guy that was obviously not me.  The man with the indian accent claimed his name was Officer Mc Foster.  I told him the first time that he had the wrong number and that he was calling a business line, not a residential number.  He apologized and called me back at the same number asking for the same person again within 5 minutes.  Before he could even say anything I asked for his Name, Contact Number and Agency that he was working with.  He provided all information quickly then I hung up the phone immediately after receiving the information.

I then spent the next hour of my life calling them back every 5 - 10 minutes, fist time I tried to order a cheese burger and fries.  Second time I asked them to pick up my dry cleaning.  I have one of the conversations recorded, you can download and listen to it here. http://www.hdwebsolutions.com/pCall-1.mp3 its about 1 meg in size.  Kind of hard to hear their end of the line but you can get the gist of it.

Funny stuff.

Received a call from 284-696-8290 (caller ID), which appears to be UK. It was officer James Smith with a THICK Indian accent. They tend to call every time I fill out a form online, whether it be payday loan, auto insurance quote or one of those TV free offers. It is a total scam. Don't fall for any of their BS and DO NOT give them any of your banking information. They try to scare people into sending them money for bogus reasons. The call back number they give is 347-637-6449. A real law enforcement officer would not be masking their phone number and would not call someone to tell them they are coming to arrest them, since when do the police give you a heads up??? Also they tend to say...Good Luck and God Bless You at the end of each message they leave. Any legitimate business in the US would not say God Bless You, as sad as it may be, so you know they are not from this country.

These jokers call every time I fill out an online loan application. It's the same thing just different names. Today it was Officer Mike Tyson...LOL They are in no way legitimate. No one issues a law suit against your social security number. They claim to be calling from several different places, today's call was ACS. I answer and just have fun with them. They said I owed money for a payday loan from Sept. 2009 (I filled out an app but never got any loan) so I just kept saying...no I don't...no you don't to everything they said and they eventually hung up on me :)

I just received a call from these guys.  They left a call back # and when I tried to call back it doesnt go through.  I then put the # in google and it got me to this site.  They had one of my friend names saying that she used me as primary reference and he was going to take further legal action if I didn't call back.  now that I read who they really are I think I am going to answer next time and just have a little fun with them :)  lol

We received a call for one of our employees and on the ID from the message sent to my email, the number was "52505708".  They gave this call back number saying the employee needed to call back to resolve a legal matter.  "Eric Vargo" from "Federal Affadavit Serices Law Firm"... He said he's sending an investigator to the job...

Me again. I have read about these guys and they do seem to have personal information (phone numbers, relatives names, business numbers, addresses, etc.) on theirthe victoms.  One theory is that they obtained (bought) the information from hackers.  These hackers apparently stole information from a small loan on-line creditor or credit company.  So they are targeting people that may have completed an online application for a loan - thinking that if they stumble upon someone that has defaulted on that loan, or otherwise owes money, they may be able to scare the victom into believing their scheme.

Yeah, they have been calling me to.  It's some yahooes from Eastern Asia, probably Pakistan.  There racket is to try and scare you into giving them money to get out of the "warrant" they have for you.  This happened to me last month also and I angered them so much, they threatened to have me arrested in 30 minutes.  Also they said that since I offended an officer, I needed to report to the courthouse.... on Sunday.  Funny, right?

You can either ignore them, or answer and really try to make them mad.  Fun either way.  They think they understand the western culture and the law enforcement, but it is just off enough that it is really funny.

This guy today claimed to be office Christopher Washington.  Yesterday, he was Mark or Mike.

Oh, one other thing - they can disquise the calls and will once they think you are on to them.  I have received calls from all sorts of places, the latest being British Virgin Isles.  Yesterday it was California.  Also some weird number that doesn't make sense.  And again from 911.  Funny for sure.
