I got a call from Andrew Rich to call Russell Reed 559.328.2374 from US Treasury, Department of Legal Affairs.  He told me an arrest warrant would be issued unless immediate payment was made.  I called IRS and confirmed it was a scam, they referred me to the the Treasury Department, Office of the Inspector General 800.366.4484 to report it - it is a well known scam within the IRS.

Beware just had phone call from indian accent woman telling me to call us treasury ask for daniel rich  wirhin 5 minutes or I would have legal issues... what the heck is this all about im reporting her too... she will have legal issues. Number she told me to calll was347 671 0307...

I had a voice mail on October 30th from Adam Jones at the Department of Legal Affairs regarding an enforcement action against me. The phone number to call him is the same 347-637-6593. I have been googling this phone number and found these stories. I also feel this is a scam.

Told the guy to give me his badge number. He said do not ask me questions.
I told him his mother was over with me having cocktails.
He said I am your father . Then started on with f u and so on.

Got 4 calls this morning from a woman named Alicia, who i could barely understand her accent, stating she was from the Legal Department from the US Treasury.  She said legal actions have been initiated against me and that I needed my lawer to contact them and if I was to ignore this could cause me to be involved in a messy legal process.  Then she said that I needed to call her then ended the call saing "God bless" then told me to have a blessed day.  Fearing what she said I attemped to call back numerous times with no answer...in fact the ring was very odd.  I tried both numbers she called from 347-637-6593 and 347-671-0216 and the 6593 number would connect but never ring.  After reading all this I too am sure it is a scam.  We do have issues with taxes but have been in contact with the IRS in regards to it.  Never has the government called...communications are always through certified mail initially.  Personal contact via phone is only initiated after official communication has been made.

RECEIVE A PHONE CALL FROM A MAN OF INDIAN DECENT AND SAID MY WIFE HAD A INCOME TAX ISSUE AND SHE DOESNT EVEN WORK AND THAN I ASKED FOR A SUPERVISIOR AND THE HUNG UP ON ME MULTIPLE TIMES

Just got two calls in two days saying Ron Gibson from Legal Affairs was calling about enforcement actions. Almost identical scripted message from voice that sounded Indian. Same thing, different number.

Got the same call.  Spoke with Daniel Rich who told me that I owed $1500.00 to the IRS.  He couldn't give me any of my personal information and he said that it was too late to send me any documentation.  He wanted my attorney's information so that he could start a suit against me.  He said that I could be arrested if I didn't send the money and then he hung up on me.

Add me to the list of those getting called. Scam scam scam. She sounded Indian, but gave a name that was Hispanic. Also told me to call Daniel Rich.

Just received the same call from Asian women telling me to call Daniel Rich at 347-637-6593. Tried the number several times did not go thru. I done here. Nice they called at 6:30am in my time zone.

Received a call from a lady with an Indian accent, tell me to have my husband call her back and that he was facing legal trouble. I proceeded to ask her for the case number for which she said she could not give me.. After reading all the above ....scam for sure...

Received a call from a woman with an Asian accent, said I needed to call her boss Dennis Rich regarding business with the US Treasury Dept.  Got ahold of Dennis (also with an Asian accent) he told me I needed to go to KMart and send him $1,500 or the IRS would file legal action against me.  Called my wife and she said SCAM right away.  Anyone who wants money via western union or any other kind of way like that, you can bet it's a scam.  We are clear with IRS so I don't know what he expected to get.  He cursed at me and told me I was making a big mistake,  I think not!!!!

I just received a voice mail from this number from a guy with Indian accent. About a supposed legal issue against me. Scam, scam. I would expect any legal notification by mail.

Just got a call from Asian Guy to.. Told me to call his boss at same number.. DUH Scam.. Same thing I told him if they called again I would turn it over to state attorneys office. Like above he stated I would face Serious Consequences.. I told him to bring it on.. Anyway blocked the number..

I JUST RECEIVED THE SAME ABOUT 1 HOUR AGO.
I MY CASE WAS A GUY WITH A ASIAN ACCENT WHO I TOLD TO GET LOST .
HE REPLY TO ME TO GET READY TO FACE THE CONSEQUENCES???
I THEN BARRED THE NUMBER FROM MY PHONE...
I SINCERELY DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND OF CONSEQUENCES HE WAS REFERRING TO...

Received a call from a lady with an Indian accent telling me I was getting a call from the Treasury Dept. on a legal matter, and I needed to call her supervisor right away to find out what legal action has been brought against me.  The only Treasury Dept. that I would have any connection with is the IRS and I am square with
the IRS.  This has got to be a sacam!!
