Got a text from this guy at 4am. Seems follow the pattern that you guys are taking about. Offering to overnight the ring. First thing he asks is for your Paypal info. Unfortunately I provided him with mine. But no transaction was made. He is using a different number (347) 470 6792. He is going by thename Darren Heather

Also got that same email response to a room I have for rent on CL. Sender email is from impact4sail@gmail.com. As stated, email refers to the room as "it" SCAM!

Got an email about an ad I had placed on craigslist for a washer and dryer in Wisconsin. They wanted me to Text them at 3476694704. Thought I google the number first. Thank for the info.

We received the same pasted MSG verbatim as yours with the "TExt" as yours for our antique chair. We are in Fl and the number is in NY. Why aren't the FEDS doing their job against gangsters like these?

I posted an ad in Craigslist room for rent, and received an email asking me to text if the room is still available. This area code is nowhere near me, so I checked it out. :( everyone that replied is a Nigeria scam!!

The ad is for a refrigerator in Indianapolis.  The area code for the TExt (sic) message is NYC.  'nuff said!

Received inquiry regarding item for sale on Craig's list; ask for text reply to this number.  Next day received a message regarding the same item from a differently named person asking for a text reply to this number.

I got an email about some furniture on craigslist - wanted me to text him back at this number.  Don't deal long distance so didn't do it.

So glad I looked up the reports on this number. I also posted a coke machine on craigslist on 8-31-12 and go a reply asking me to text that same number #. I am always careful when it comes to things like that. Thank you all for all of the reports on the #.

They are now scamming rooms to share on C.L.

big time scam don't fall for it!

Also contacted via text for jewelry posted on Craigslist.  Wanted to purchase for his twin.  Told him we only accept cash in hand.  Said he is not like all the others.  Still tried to persuade us that paypal was safe.  Just told him we would not be doing business w him and he left us alone.

I received text messages from this number as well asking to buy my ring for his twin. Then I called him and the call went to voicemail. He/she texted back that they were in high security military and couldn't call out. Yeah right! Then the person said they didn't want to hurt anyone...total scammer! Don't be fooled!

I would like to confrim this. I posted a watch on Craigslist and this was the phone number that replied. There were three different names between the iPhone account, Gmail acount and the name of the person saying that they were the sender of the question. I looked here to confirm that this was a scam and to see if others were finding this. Thanks for the confirmation--BEWARE!
