Received my first text yesterday, just got the second one 5 minutes ago. I texted back nicely asking them to remove me from their spam list and then threatened them with turning them into the FCC. We'll see what happens....

Unwanted Call about receiving money

I received a similar message followed 2 hours later by a phone call from a different phone number which i didn't answer. A wile ago a friend in an atempt to win something over the phone gave out our phone. They told him he would win something, but i don't think he got anything. Most of this calls are of scams that trie to obtain your personal information and of your family and friends. DONT GIVE ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION!!!  On the 347-675-0049 they seem to be targeting people who are despare for money. Wile on the 302-861-8989 phone number they seem to be targeting hispanics. These are all so anoying since they are trying to take advantage of people who don't understand that these are all scams!!! I really hope the authorities are doing something about it since they seem to continue scaming people.

I received this unsolicited text to my cell phone.  I have registered all of my family's cell numbers on the National "Do Not Call" list, which is of zero help in robo telemarketing calls/texts.  I texted "stop" back, but hesitated to do that since the sender will then know it's a "live" number.  What can be done to stop these annoying messages?  I pay for my cell phone for MY use, not to be bombarded with these types of marketing or phishing schemes!  I went to their website and it looks like an attempt to glean more personal information.  I don't trust it AT ALL!  Identity theft?  Payday loan company??  Who knows??

Probably got my number off a Craigslist ad, texted about payday loans.

Received a text message this morning which stated: "Strapped for cash after theis (sic) christmas? No Credit? No Fax? Not an issue get up to $1k on ur cell! Visit www.chkadvance.com and submit an app now 0ptout-rply-st0p" Obviously a telemarketer for a payday advance company; called the number back and it beeped a couple times then disconnected. The website has another method of opting out..we'll see what happens.
