This morning I had a text in response to my ad on craigs list (a local ad-I am also in the midwest).  I looked up the number.  It is very similiar to the one you reported.  It was the same scam.  
The person stated they were going to purchase my item.  They needed my name and address to send me a certified check.  They also told me to remove the ad from craigs list as they were purchasing it.  
My ad specifically stated cash only and sale only applicable to local buyers.
I believe the number you are reporting is associated with the number I was text from this morning.

The exact thing happened to me, it's a scam, he actually sent me a cashiers check to cash at my bank for a wedding dress, then for me to send money to the mover via western union. The check turned out to be fake

got a text from this # also, audrey was the name used.about my wedding dress i have for sale,  once he asked me for my info, i text he/she i text back i'm reporting you! i would never text my info via phone or email.

I met someone on line at the end of August. We have been chatting via email for about a month. He just gave me his number. For some reason I goggled it and Lulu - his name is the same as you mention in your message - even spelled the same. When I asked him if he was married he said no which is what he told me when we first met and what is listed on his online profile page too. I think I goggled the number because normally it doesn't take a month to exchange numbers so I thought it strange like maybe he had a girlfriend/wife - I guess maybe he does if he is shopping for wedding gowns. I tried googling his full name but can't find anything about him.....

I too got a text message from this guy asking for a wedding/quince dress im selling. I made the mistake of giving him my information and now I dont know what to do. He said his name was Andrey and he would have a mover come pick up the dress as soon as I received and cashed payment. He also sent me a few days ago a text saying he sent the payment. I'm scared this person has my information and is going to try something stupid. Can I go to te cops with just this information?

I got the same text, he says he's gettting a wedding dress for his fiancee... and didn't ask the size... very strange.

I man called me asking if I still had the wedding dress for sale listed on Craigslist.  I thought it was strange since I live in ks and the number is Ny.  Just wanted  check and see if there was any reports for this number.
