These people call everyday 2 or 3 times a day and hang up

They have just called me 4 times in a row.  I told them they had the wrong number.  Most of the time it said out of area, but once it had PCR on the caller ID.  ANNOYING!!

its pioneer credit.....they wouldnt tell me there name when they called......they got nasty when i asked questions and would not tell me who the where at first......i just kept hitting redial over and over and annoyed them and finally someone told me the name of the outfit.......they are very very nasty and should be out of bussiness

I've received two calls from this number but I didn't answer.

These guys called me nine times one day on Saturday and once starting on Sunday at 8 AM Pacific time.The Law or Police should be after them or shut them down!

I'm an old caseworker from pioneer and i can tell you that when you receive a call from them it either has to do with your taxes or your company taxes.  When the tell you they can levy your assets its only one possibility that can happen. There contracted by the state to collect on your debt. The company are not the ones that act on the levy's or judgments it is the state that does. I say call them back and see what is going on theirs always a way around some stuff like find out what the problem is and call the irs to help you. but not calling back is just going to harm you in the long run.

My human resources director received a call wanting to verify my employment; fortunately she did not release any info and told them she had to have signed permission from me. They faxed a form that requests my current address, phone #, etc. It had a SSN on it, but not mine. Thinking they are just fishing for info and maybe every once in awhile they get lucky?

I kept getting calls from this number (866)-3619567 and they were asking for my husband.. I asked who they were and they wouldnt give me any information whatsoever, they just kept telling me to get a lawyer... i kept asking for the reason and they wouldnt tell me... they used to call 2 to 3 times a day and when my husband picked up the phone she was claiming to be calling from a government agency..i found theyre office adress and its

Its a company trying to get people to pay back student loans because it is a subsidiary to Sallie Mae. They will garnish wages if a payment is not made. Because Sallie Mae is a federal company they can search your place of business by your social security number.

My husband and I work together in a office/warehouse. I was recently approached by my boss about a suspicious fax that had come in about my husband. It was a fax from PCR Inc. looking for a verification of employment with his SSN stamped on the front of it. (This is a public fax in the office) The sheet was also wanting to know the hours he worked,how much he makes,his position,when did he start,his most recent home address and his most recent home phone number. At the bottom of the sheet it says please fill out then fax it back to them. Then it says, (Optional: For release information purpose only. If required please pass along to employee.) Something tells me they shouldn't be doing this. I then called and let them know I was his wife. and what was this regarding. Overall they want a bunch of fees to pay off a bill. They also want your financial info. And it seems that if you send enough faxes to random companies in hopes to receive peoples personal info could result in some sort of identity theft. Scary.

I received a call asking for a neighbor who lives just across the street. I asked if they were looking for the <first name> <last name> who is a pediatrician, and the caller replied "yes, do you know how to reach him?" I told him the individual's number was listed, and he asked me if I would give him a message. My answer was no! He then "warned" me our call may have been monitored. I wished him a good day. He said thank you, and then urged me to vote for McCain. Weird!

they used to come up on caller id, but i never answered it.  One day i called them back to see who they were and the woman said pioneer credit.  i said i had the wrong number.  now they call and it comes up as unlisted or private number!

They are Pioneer Credit, a subsidiary of Sallie Mae.

calls three to four times a day.  never leavews a message

Called my work number.  When I called the 800 number and asked for the person who called me, Sue Ellen, I was asked to provide my SSN.  I refused.  They asked if I am <firstname> <lastname>.  I said I am one of 1,000's in the US, which one do they want.  Response was an incorrect last 4 of SSN.  I was transfered to Ryan, who did not want to give his last name.  Finally, he said Smith.  He requested SSN and asked if I am <firstname> <lastname>, to which I responded as above.  He transferred by to Jeannie Satchel who claimed to be a supervisor and again asked if I am <firstname> <lastname> (see a pattern here?).  When she again gave me the incorrect last 4 of SSN, she asked for the number I was called at so that she could remove me from the list.

Called both my cell phone (x2 today) and work number (x2 today).  I talked to them the first time they called me at work. They called again 30 minutes later and asked a co-worker for the number to human resources so they could verify my employment. They called my cell from another number yesterday: 888-295-7865.

Female called from this number asking for my husband...I told her he was not in and asked if I could take a message.  She replied, "No, I'll try to reach him later." When I asked her who was calling, she stated she was calling to ask him for a "reference" on someone (whose name I was not familiar with). I told her she would have to call him after a certain time in the evening. Later when I told my husband about the call he said he didn't know anyone by that name.
