Something needs to be done about this creep!  He preys on honest, hardworking people in need of a job.  I think it is so odd that he only text and is never able to talk. I think it probably is a woman.
As soon as he asked who I bank with, I was done!

i had this exact situation happen today. He basically described the job i was looking for to a "t" and was very knowledgeable.......via text....i was fine with the information and some reason i didnt do a proper check on him.  The false sense of security he gives is very deceiving and really got me. THANK GOD i smartened up before any damage was done however i did give him my ID which im really mad at myself for. PLEASE DO NOT fall for these very intelligent scammers and ddo the proper research before entering into business with anyone including phone conversations background checks and no info that can harm you. I havent replied to him back and really want to pry information out of him, but i know it would lead nowhere.

You "John" are nothing more than a liar & a fraud. Your post was very satisfying though. It's so good to know that sites like this one are destroying scams like yours. People like you deserve to be back in the gutters you came from. And we all know how filthy the gutters in Lagos are!
Oh and by the way, your dream of college is completely wasted. You have to be literate enough to get in to a college before you can attend one.

I have been texting back and forth with him for 3 days now.. I finally got him on the phone and he sounds like he is Nigerian. Which instantly raised a HUGE red flag, since I know that there are always scams coming from that region. I told him how I was concerned because his stories were very fishy. He wanted me to send him a copy of my ID and that because of his situation he has to trust me and that he is also concerned but he has no choice. When asked why he doesnt just hire an agency to do this work of collecting rent and meeting associates, he gives me this long story which half of it I cant understand due to his heavy accent and he keeps trying to use big words which I can tell are not his everyday language, just trying to sound intelligent and probably american. Oh he also told me he was a specialist not a LT in the ARMY with 2 kids and a wife and that his former assistant got pregnant and thats why he needs a new one. Every time I have called him it goes straight to google voicemail. But he says its cause he is working. I can tell its all BS because I was in the Marine Corps and I know you are never that busy and you have weekends and nights off. He keeps side tracking on questions. One point he says he owns property in Miami. Which is where I am. The next he says that no he is wanting to invest in property here. So Im like what did your last assistant do. He said that she worked on the computer from home. It also did take him like 2-3 weeks after my application to write to me, so long that I even forgot emailing this ad. Also when he texted me he said his name was Keith Delacy on his Linkedin account its spelled Keith DeLacy. Not a big red flag but doesnt make it any better, also said he would be emailing me his photo id. but what a surprise I cant open or see it. I asked him for a facebook profile he said he had one but sends me a linkedin profile. His profile also says he went to appalachian state university but when looking up the name on there website it does not exist. Other red flags are he says he would pay 200$ per assignment  and there are 2-3 per week. That is a lot of money per week where he can easily hire a property management company. I told him this but he said no he needs an assistant because of meetings with business associates that he has here that I must meet on his behalf. But cant give me any info on them when I pressed him for it. I also told him he could pay me through paypal but insists on using a bank. Whats the difference? Maybe he cant run this scam through paypal. I dont know what this guy or group is trying to pull but I didnt give him anything. Probably trying to steal IDs to open credit cards in other peoples names. Last thing I noticed before ending the conversation. I clearly heard a ringtone or music in the background that was clearly of his region and not something you would hear walking around fort bragg. Be careful out there people, and I hope this helps anyone from getting scammed.

The number he has texted me from is 734-705-7620.  Did you put the wrong number in by accident or did he just happen to have his number changed (but it just the first three numbers transposed).

This guy contacted me and stated that his name is Lt. Keith Delacy and that he is a 32 year old husband with a wife and two children. He has stated that he is a combat veteran who is a real estate business owner and needs an assistant to help him transact and interact with his clients, sit fir delivery, pick up documents at post office and send to his clients, also to disclose information to his clients. He stated that he would pay $320 weekly working part-time and he would pay commissions on his business transactions. Don't fall for this!!!! It's a scam.

He will ask for you to open up a bank account with his affiliate bank -Chase bank- and possibly to open an account with USAA (of which I found out today, he is not a memeber of- at least not the way that he describes himself). Be aware!! Please. I am still waiting on a phone call from this man.

Amazingly this area code is from the New York area, he states that he is from North Carolina.

I am in the middle of a text conversation with this number as i write this comment. I decided to enter the zip code in google just to have an idea where the person was calling from. It is a NYC exchange, and is usually a landline number there.

After reading that, I saw this link underneath the original link.

It is very interesting to have found this site and I am glad it exists.

After reading the comments on here, I texted the next answer to their questions of me, and followed it with "what is YOUR full name?" and now the texting has stopped.

These people wanted me to open an account in their bank so they could pay me for part-time work.  I told the guy he was full of s*** an that I was no longer interested in his bogus job offer.
