This number consistently calls me on my cell phone at least 5 times a day and never leave a message. They call right up until 9 PM very very very annoying!!! I never answer but when I call back from a land line that is not traceable they hang up immediately after answering.  THEY NEED TO STOP CALLING!!!!

I just got the phone call. First time. Thank you everyone who posted about it. I don't know anyone from NY and that is why i didn't answer it.

This is the number of a sweat shop scam operation, not a legitimate telemarketer.  They call you several times a day until you answer the phone.  When you do, they say they want to give you an insurance quote or that they are calling from Allstate Insurance.  They then transfer your call to an unsuspecting, real, legitimate insurance / Allstate agent who is not in on the scam and who thinks you're calling to get an auto quote.  The scammers, however, have not "transferred" your call, but rather have done a 3-way call and are listening in quietly on the conversation, hoping to get personally identifiable information (PII) about you, such as your social security number.

Just had my identity stolen and now i get calls from this number posing as an insurance rep.  I think they are trying to get my license #.

Showed up as "SKYPE" on my caller ID

This number calls me three to four times a day. Does not leave a message and when I call back, I am on hold.

These people called me 17 times yesterday and have called already 3 times today. There is a woman who says she is toyna,(which is a recording). and the line has weird sounds when she transfers you. It is about an insurance quote.

My husband was called by this number.  He sat on hold and the hold message said it was Allstate.  He had an argument with the caller about being on the no call list.  This woman had a horrible accent and said she had to investigate his claim of being on the DNC list!  What do you need to investigate?  He said he's on DNC, that should have been the end of it!  No company should be calling a cell phone number.  It is illegal and the company can be fined up to $10,000 per call.  This company will be reported to FCC.

I use the "truecaller" app on my cell phone, and this number is from New York.  I do not have any business/people in New York.  Called the number back, it was about some sort of offer.  Just hung up on them and blocked the number.

I recommend all cell phone users to download a "caller id app" on their phones to get information on the phone numbers we do not know.  They are very helpful!!
