Received call from Sam Kamei, said he was from Microsoft and He needed to work on my computer. I asked for his name and phone number in which he replied Sam Kamei and his phone number is 347-741-8192. I researched both of these numbers which turned out to be scam numbers. Why doesn't the government do something about these scammers?

Got a call from these guys. Caller ID said "out of area". Same story. Had me look up msconfig and eventvwr files to show me the Microsoft files were not working. Got suspicious of "Michael" from India. Asked for his number to call back. Looked it up here. I'm not calling back.

"Josh" (Indian accent) called yesterday from this number -- same song and dance as everyone else.  Error messages and warnings on my computer, it was going to crash, he was from Microsoft.  I asked him to provide some proof and he told me what my computer number was (maybe they're all the same for Windows 7?)  Then he showed me where the error messages and warnings are (which are on every computer all the time, apparently) and then asked me to download something and then give him my ID number in the upper left of the screen.  At this point I said no -- he said, I verified who I was to you, now you have to verify who you are to me.  Thought you knew who I was, Josh.  Said I would not provide the info and he yelled, "You're not listening to me!  So go ahead, crash your computer.  Just f*** off!".  Hmm, not very professional Josh, you're going to have to go back to Microsoft for more training.  He strung me along up to the point of taking over my computer remotely.  Why aren't these people being prosecuted for fraud and theft???  I called back to 347 741 8192 and an Indian accented guy answered -- probably Josh.  I said, hmm, someone called me from this number claiming to be from Microsoft, etc.  He said, I guess you should call the police.  Good idea!  Fortunately, whatever he led me to on the internet did not lodge itself in my computer.  Moral of the story -- Microsoft doesn't call you!  Don't fall for this scam!!!

I just got the same call from someone who sounded like they were from India.  I asked for the call back number, plugged it into Google an find out it's just another scam.  He did sound very convincing, claims he even had my windows id number which only a certified windows tech would have access to.

They gave me my address and said they would be at my house in 15 minutes because I was not cooperating with them.

Got message from someone with Indian accent saying our computer needed repair because Microsoft sent an "error" message. We are on Don't Call registry, so they are definitely breaking FCC guidelines. Told them to go away!

They said, they found error in my computer. My question back was even I reported my errors to MS, how the hell did you get my phone number?

Rec'd call from "Windows" said they were getting error messages about my computer.  Asked me to log on and they would tell me what to do.  I did nothing.... SCAM!

Rec call, gave him (Sam Jones) all info requested,wanted to charge me $230.00 to repair, did not buy, Is my computer compromised?

Cold call from 'smart support guys' who claimed to work for Microsoft and needed to repair my computer.  They tried to get me to check them out on their website and ..ha ha..give them remote access to my computer.

This is a scam!!!
