Just got a message from this guy told me his name was David also and the he was presently on the sea and a marine engineer. The individual also would not talk said he was deaf and would only text.

This guy said his name was David and never looked at the truck i had posted on craigslist or asked for any more pics or info on the truck. What a scam artist? Anyone know how to trace him down? Have a friend in the FBI who is interested in getting rid of scam artists like him.

This person is trying to buy a cell phone from me right now. They said it was their first time buying something online and he would add a hundred dollars for postage through the post office. He even wants to pay with PayPal. I told him he would have to come pick it up from me personally. I haven't gotten a reply yet. This guy is nuts.

yup, texted me about a car I am selling. Thanks for the heads up you all posted, I knew something had to be suspicious with someone contacting me about a car when the telephone number was from NY and my car is in WI???? same as this post. super stupid. He called about a car i had listed on craigslist and was willing to buy it outright without seeing it, didn't try to negotiate on price and said he needed to make the transaction today. Said he was a marine engineer on the sea for the next 8 months - so why the urgency to buy the car this very minute? Shady.
