There seems to be dozens of these MONEY70, PAY600, GIFT50 etc web sites sending spam SMS messages. They all seem to link to doublemypayday.com. Above mentioned information regarding the domain owner is correct, however they have a new address and phone number:

I called them up and spoke with a person called Amy. She admitted that her company owns the web site doublemypayday.com. She stated that they do not directly send SMS messages from her company, it must be some affiliate of theirs that is doing non-compliant things. She did not want to admit a direct responsibility for the text message we all receive, but my argument was that they should be controlling their affiliates. She admitted that this is not something they want happening either as it damages their brand image.

She promised to investigate who is doing this, and NetTangerine would shut them down.

I promised to Amy that I will post this information on every complaint site I can get my hands on.

I suggest everybody gives a call to NetTangerine Inc Tel: (650)641-0184 and complains about the SMS messages. I'm sure the more calls they receive, the more motivated they are in finding out and shutting down which ever affiliate of theirs is doing this.

The caller left no message.

What a racket though to have to pay ATT to stop these msg.'s.
Anything for that almighty buck ATT!!  We pay enough for service's!  They should be there to help us...but no! They'll help.....for a fee!!!

They have called and leave messages saying they are the department of finacial investigations and I must call them back . I have asked them to stop calling . What can i do ??

A class action lawsuit will be filed for anyone receiving text messages from 347.925.8954 re. congrads, call 877.403.5499 to claim your $20. Walmart gift card plus $50. Gas card. 877.403.5499 is located in AZ, 347 area code is from NY (Bronx, Queens, etc.) They are SO happy to help you getting these so call free gift cards sent provided you pay $2. shipping fee. They will not explain that you get a Everyday Privileges Gold membership package, send in the little post card to get your $20. Walmart gift card and they do not advice you $50. gas card is a voucher where you HAVE to pay then send in receipts to get reimbursed. Everyday Privileges Gold is in Nashville TN. I have filed complaints with NY, AZ and TN Attorney General office. My brother's an attorney, specialized in litigation will file suit in all parties involved. I've received two text messages from this number within the last 12 hours, despite my STOP reply text messages.  They need to stop texting people!  It's a nuisance!  Why do they think this is a good business ploy?  I don't know anyone that would get a loan because they got a message from a cell phone text.  Stupid people in this world.

I received a text from this number at 2:30 AM.  This really upsets me (even worse than if it occured in the middle of the day).  It woke me out of a sound sleep.  They wanted me to go to a site called MONEY600.com/  Which (as it turns out) gets redireced to http://www.creditsearchfinder.com/.  Even if I did need to borrow money, I WOULD NEVER EVER EVER use this firm. And I will tell everyone I know to boycott them as well.

I am getting lots of texts from them -- offering cash quickly.  Website is www.pay600.com.  They say to text stop to opt out, but I have 5 from them now and they keep coming despite the STOP replies.

Loan Scams. Replied stop. So far, nothing back yet. If it happens to other people, maybe we should figure out a way to e-mail or text bomb or DNS them back...

On a more serious note, if it happens again, call the fcc.

they sent a text message last night at 11:13pm that said "GET UP TO $1500 CASH LOAN WITH A SIMPLE APPLICATION!  VISIT:  WWW.CREDIT300.COM (--2END REPLY STOP--)"  This s*** keeps happening and I am getting real sick of it.  Get a life, get a real job instead of being scam artists.

Got spam text. Grrr. I hate these people. Seems that they use a different phone number every week. Every monday I receive a few text messages from a different (347) phone number. And ATT say that they cannot do anything since they are using mobile phones. Instead, ATT asked me to pay a $10 service to block these guys. Thanks for your useless help ATT.

I've been getting text messages from the same source using different #s 646-327-3810, 347-781-6079, 631-220-6371, 646-318-9503, 347-781-6500, 347-781-6502 for over a week now.  All have messages about quick loan or some other loan scams.

May have to change my cell #.

I've gotten two text messages from these guys on my "costs me $.50 per text" phone.  Argh!

They direct you to websites that ask for personal information, under pretext of offering to find you "instant loans."  

Smells to high heaven of a scam.  And I've paid $1, so far, for their efforts.

Tried to block this number from texts, but I'd have to buy the $5/mth texting plan to save myself this expense...  Sheesh.  So much for technology empowering us...

Oh, I tried to report the abuse of my phone number on the one website and the email message came back "unknown address."  No way to contact whoever is sending these out.   <sigh>
