Well he is still at it. I got a similar message, he wants to buy my Durango off craigslist sight unseen through paypal, I told him I am not comfortable with this, and told him so. I am turning him into the Department of Homeland Security. I have a friend that works for ICE. He is impersonating a federal officer!! I hope that anyone that gets a message from him reads this!!!

i also just received the same text from this person wanting to buy my old '38 chevy.
wanted all my info, bank, address, etc. wanted me to have it sent to him after i received his paypal.

Scammer! Watch out

Criaigslist gives a simple rule:   cash only and in-person.  Anyone who isn't willing to do this is a scammer.

how about that another childish person that has nothing better to do he got me too wanting to buy my fishing boat i listed on craigslist. he would only text ,wouldnt take my calls  to verify legit business wanting to pay thru paypal and have a shipping company pick it up. played text and phone tag. dont waist your time whith this person and he better noy text or call my phone again or else i will take further action.

I just recieved  a text about my fishing boat. What the f*** are you going to do with a boat in the bronx? I get a kick out of it and usually play along when Im not busy. Some people are just plain sorry.

Another scam artist.

Just Received text From Mr. John Says that he will make bank transfer of a funds and pay for all shipping.  He says he can't talk to me personally because he is in the military in a Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape instructor for new recruits.  Yah right.  
he also puts 2nd Lt ford USAF.  

Now he is persistent with asking for my personal information, including home address, and banking information, title of vehicle, and extra.

Scammer for sure.

just had a text from this same person...said he would send a certified check to my bank...I don't think so!!  If he had actually read the craigslist ad, he would have known it said cash only!  He wanted to send a moving company to get the item without even looking at it....BEWARE - this is a scammer...  He may be with sbc global - have gotten many emails from people at this place... and they are all scammers!! If you get any emails with peoples names @ sbcglobal.com - ignore them....delete them!!  They are not real!!

this person texted me asking if my item on craigslist was still for sale.  he wanted to send me a check to my bank...if he had ACTUALLY read the ad, it said cash only...he wanted to send a shipping company to get it without even seeing it...this is a scammer - do not accept anything from this person.  BEWARE!!

this was done to me in WI, he/she said they wre in NY and very busy with work, they wanted to buy my vehicle without even test driving it, please, what a bad scammer

Got a call this morning and get the Pay Pal runaround. He said he was disabled. Would pay shipping to New York. Don't sound right. Better leave this guy alone.

I got the same message about 5:00 this morning 11/12/12. I text him back but still haven't heard anything back from him. I'm glad I found this bc I must be a magnet for scams as this is about the 5th attempt I have had only after already receiving 2 fake checks in the mail. It's really getting ridiculous that you can no longer sell anything online bc scammers are getting so bad!!

just recieved same scam. He would only communicate with me via text. can't understand his angle tho as he's willing to send payment via paypal. Can someone elaborate on what he's doing? It sounds so legitimate and he's playing our our desire to sell our items.

This person is running a Craigslist texting scam. He told me that he wanted to buy my stive but that he was in the military and couldn't pick it up. Wanted me to ship it to him with a payment sent through Paypal. Now he refused to leave me alone, saying that he has already paid ke through Paypal.
