To follow-up on my last post, I just called the number. I called from a Skype-out phone, so they have no way to know my real phone number or to call me back. I told them that I had been called from this number and told that my computer was infected. He said "oh yes, it is". I said OK what do I do? He said someone will call you back in 30 minutes. I said don't you need my phone number? He said oh, yeah, give me your number. So I made up a random number (sorry, whomever I just screwed!) and he said they would call back.
Lame! I wanted to experience the scam!

What I am wondering is, what software do these scammers use to remote into the computer? Do they get you to download something like Teamviewer? Or do they use something that is built into Windows? Anyone who has been called, what did they do?

These scammers have been calling me all day. They must think I'm an idiot. "go turn on your computer and I help you"
Please.......Learn to speak English first and then I can be sure that you understand my derogatory comments and sarcasm!

Let me put this in a way that everyone will understand.....
THIS IS A SCAM.... THEY DO NOT FIX YOUR COMPUTER AND THEY ARE TRYING TO GAIN REMOTE ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER AND SNIF ANYTHING THAT YOU MAY HAVE IN IT. EX. SSN (SOCIAL SEC. NUMBER), BANK INFO, PASSWORDS, ETC.
dO NOT FALL FOR IT. THE JUST CALLED ME AND WHILE HE WAS TRYING TO ENGAGE ME ON HIS SCAM I WAS CHECKING HIS INFO ON LINE. I CONTACTED MICROSOFT AND THE CONFIRMED ME THAT THIS IS AN S C A M

My wife got a call from AOL today, "Brant Close" (insert heavy foreign accent) told her to immediately turn on the computer and do what he said. She only talked to him because I had just removed the Windows Security Enhancement virus yesterday. She didn't do anything but was glad she didn't when I reminded her that she didn't have an AOL account, so how would they have her phone number??? It still slays me how some people fall for this b.s.

I heard about that as well. If I am not mistaken, there is some type of glitch that allows you to get networks the cable companies don't even offer.

I just have to wonder if the new year's resolution of all these shills over the past few days is to collect as many red stamps of doom as possible. If so, they certainly are living up to their resolution!

I found out that you can sometimes get extra channels by connecting your cable TV antenna to your washer-dryer.
But don't tell this to the cable company or they might shut off my cable.

I would have an easier time believing that a genie in a bottle turned a flat screen TV into a microwave oven.

Why do shills always use run on sentences?

Nice try Shills, but its not happening! Windows aka Microsoft say's its a scam, so put this in your pipe and smoke it!
Folks, its very simple! The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!

You're a FRAUD! Throw away this number. You've just burnt it all by yourself. You brainless morons are just stupid beyond belief!
The scam you're trying to run is OVER! NOBODY can get a call from ANYONE claiming their computer is "infected", "sending errors" or any other such BS. It DOESN'T happen! EVER!
Now run along fraud-boy. Your people are getting tiresome.
Skeff Ett Liv!

The above post was made by a shill ---- someone who plants a "false testimonial" on review site to mislead consumers. In reality, the poster is more likely than not an employee of the phony company who is making calls from this number, and is located in a boiler room overseas. As you can tell by their message, English is not their first language.
In any case, don't trust calls from this number, they are not from Microsoft, they are from scammers.

Thanks to Windows technical support team ....... I got service from your side and now my computer is running fine ,,,,,,, You are doing a great job !!!!!!
