Well they called me on friday so I looked them up on this site. These people are complete scammers. They called again just a little bit ago and had all my personal information. The funny thing was they gave me my bank account number and said that I had a payday loan in 2009. The bank account they used I opened in March of 2010. I asked this guy and he was reading from a notecard. Very heavy Indian accent. I know where they got the information from. STAY OFF internet payday loan sites. I used one last year and paid it in full. These people are from overseas and complete scammers. It was fun to argue with him. He clearly got pissed off, ask them random questions like "when was the last time you ate spaghetti". It completely trips them up and they fall over their words. I am going to call them again and use "reverse harrassment".

They called me and told me they are with a "legal Team", I laughed in his face. He called one of my coworkers and harassed her. I told them this was a scam and they said "sorry, we will not call you anymore".

Keep getting phone calls from this number from a man with an extremely heavy Indian accent, says his name is "chris wright" (I think)> he is asking me to call regarding my best friend and that she is in trouble and has a lawsuit "pressed against her". She has also been getting calls from this number and is frightened as the guy has all her personal information and even read her SSN back to her. I don't know what trouble he is causing but I intend to ignore him. If he does get through to me hopefully by denying that I know my friend, he will leave me alone. shows up on my caller ID as "052497347" will also file official complaint with fcc.

I just received a call from this number saying they were some kind of a law firm and something to do with my social security number.  If i did not call them back they would not be able to keep the law from me.  Atleast that is what I got out of it.  I could not understand much of what they were saying.  I could tell he was some kind of foreigner.  Could not understand his name or much of anything else.

Someone called my employment this morning (4/4/11) asking for me stating that he was calling regarding my social security number.  His name was Harry Barkara.  I just called this number back and could not understand what this person was saying then a beep came on and I just hung up.

They called my cell twice, and then work immediately afterwards. I told the guy, couldn't understand his name, that I would call back since I was working.
When I called back it sounded like someone recorded a message on their machine from another machine.  It was pretty funny.
I left a message to have them call me back on my cell.
I have dealt with calls like this before.  One of the men claimed to be an FBI officer.  I told him that FBI are agents, not officers.  And he started screaming profainity at me.  Hung up on me, and then called me back a minute later.  I recognized the number, and answered "Hello, Mr. FBI Man."  He got really angry with that, and I haven't heard from him since.  Well, since now.

Mr. Martin Wilson (?) from legal with a very thick accent has been calling my home telephone and leaving messages for someone I don't know. When I happened to be home yesterday I told him he had the wrong number and he kept reading from the script. I kept telling him he had the wrong number. He
became very confused and when I asked his name he replied but he said it like he wasn't sure of his name: Martin Wilson??? After reading the previous posts I will probably have fun with him if he calls back, but I will file the proper complaints anyway.

I am getting the same phone calls on my phone, but they are not for ME, they are for my MOTHER.  Some Indian dude using aliases Mark Fergason and Mike Stone and supervisor John??.  I have all the messages still on my phone and it is the SAME INDIAN GUY!!  Says that my mother owes for a payday loan.  I polietly told him she did not.  She has suffered several strokes and is an invalid now so there is no way she could apply for one.  I told him I take care of all the bills and there was no money ever recieved from anyone, but would he supply proof.  First time he hung up on me.  I called back and they just rejected my call, even when I used a different number.  Finally when someone was on the line I said "I can just keep calling till someone talks to me" and that got an answer.  The guy asked what number I was calling from.  I said you looked it up by name last time.  So he asked the name and I gave my mom's name.  Then he asked for her SSN, and I told him it should be in his papers but if he reads it I will confirm it or not.  After about 10 minutes of arguing with the guy he told me to stop calling and HARRASSING THEM.  LOL.  Then he told me that I was a fradulent person and that I am committing fraud, which made me laugh.  I said that I was recording the conversation to which he replyed that he line is federally recorded.  I said okay, so it is recorded, "Will you please send me proof of the debt that is owed"  The guy had the nerve to say he would not send it because he knew I would not pay.  WTF??  I am going to file a report on this guy because he is calling me number, my husband's number and even a friend's number.  Which I still don't know how they hell they got that!!

They called me as well with a very thick Indian accent and said the same as above. When I asked them what was this for they said it was for a Payday Loan. When I told them that I have never had a payday loan before. He got upset and hung up. This was a few months ago and now he's calling back again I am going to tell them I'm reporting them to the police and see if they call back!!

Yep, he called me today and this time he gave me a different month. It was clearly the same guy, he hung up on me and I called him back multiple times. Finally I was cussed out and said my number would be blocked. I politely told him "thank you thats all I wanted". Hasnt called since, juvenile tricks perhaps but, the calls have stopped.

This guy calling himself "Simon Brown" called my desk phone looking for someone other than me.  He had the thick accent that everyone else describes.  I called him back to inform him that he had the wrong number for whatever person he was looking for.  There was a very bad connection - we were disconnected.  Funny, when I was attempting to call him back, the same guy called me from a local number... 815-524-9734.

So I had been getting calls from this number and of course not answering it.  A man with a very think Indian accent leaves a message saying he was Charles Smith and it was very important that I contact him.  So after about 5 calls, since I had already looked the number up and saw that it was a scam, I called the number back.  As soon as the person answered I laid down on one of the keys on my phone.  Of course I think we all know how annoying that is.  So I held the key down until he hung up.  Then I kept calling him back and doing that.  I think I called him a total of 20 times.  I figured if he was going to call me and waste my time I would call him and waste his.  He then proceeded to call me back and i directed his call to voice mail.  This time he did not leave a message.  He figured out who I was and has not called since.  Juvenile yes, but it was fun screwing with him.  :)

Got a phone call form this number on Friday, I knew it was a scam just didnt have time to call back. They called again a little while ago and I took the call. The man had a heavy Indian accent and recited all my information line for line. What was funny is he said my debt was from 2009. The bank account he gave me was opened in Feb of 2010. So, being the nice person I am I simply pointed out his discrepency. How to handle that is not on his call card. So he informs me again that this is a "serious matter". I assured him I understood it was serious but, "I cant pay a debt on account that wasnt opened at the time". So he repeats "serious legal matter" and I respond "no problem I just need the right information this might be a false ". Now, he is clearly irratated and says "why dont you just get out from this". I was polite and said no problem just send me a notice. He says in a few days I would receive one in the mail. I inquired about a fax perhaps to "speed" the process up. I guess they do not use fax machines. He abruptly hung up so I called him back. I "realized" that I might have a debt and if I could speak to his supervisor I might be able to take care of it. Clearly it was the same guy so I play my games. I ask him a simple question "when was the last time you ate spaghetti"? If the answer is not on their call cards it trips them up. They stumble over themselves and you got'em. Hung up on again, called back again. This time he found out who I was and abruptly just hung up. Reverse harrassment works they cant scam other people if you harrass them. Being that it was a slow morning and I had time to kill I figure I would save a few other people from this clown. Just to be safe, have your install monitors on your accounts for a little while.

I had the same scenario as those listed above.  He left a message on my cell phone for someone I've never heard of.  Indian guy, very broken English.  Same threat against my SSN but did not give the number.  Threatened to take legal action if I didn't call this number.  I think he said his name was Steve but he was so difficult to understand.

I received a call from the same nut-case pretending to be with ACS - a debt collection officer?  He left a message for me to have my atty. call them at 347-927-1843.  I had my Atty. call and the scammer ( with a Bull " name "Kevin Bacon" ??) got very nervous and didn't know what to say?  They have no Attorney- just trying to get you to send them money.  The more people that fall for this scam the more they take the risk or continuing these scams.  These are individuals from India who were sold, purchased or stole consumer information from creditors or/and the US College data base.  Its a matter of time before they are caught.  Sad that some people from India are willing to make their culture look so sick and greedy. Strange they are stupid anough as to give you a number to call them back at?

I received 2 phone calls from this number claiming I was going to be sued by ACS services (actually a real company where I live, and I do have some unpaid medical bills), but when I call back I got some random guy saying "how can I help you"? He was very hard to understand - broken English, very definitely Indian - and said they were going to sue me and my social security number. This was very scary, but I'm happy to see it's a scam. BEWARE!

I received another call from him today and decided to answer. I asked what the debt was for and why I hadn't received anything in writing about it. He began to say the whole spiel over again like he does in the message (as if he just reads from a script) and said to hold on to get his supervisor when I bugged him for these answers. I told him I was on my lunch break and did not have time to wait on hold and speak to his supervisor when he is the one who called. He persisted to tell me to hold and wait for his supervisor so I hung up. He tried calling back and when he left a message this time he said my FULL SSN over the message. THAT scared me a bit. I decided to file a complaint with the FTC. They cannot give out personal info like that. If you guys want to file a consumer complaint on the FTC website it's super easy and maybe they can stop this idiot from trying to do whatever shady stuff he is trying to get away with.

I received the same kind of message today from an Indian dude. Could barely understand the guy but I thought he said he was from GCS or BCS. Who knows. I do however know that if anyone IS thinking of taking any type of legal action on me that I should first see something in writing about it. Haven't seen anything remotely close to any kind of legal action so I am not too worried about it.

I received (3) calls this week with the very same story as listed above. I contacted my attorney to see how I could get to the bottom of this & now I see that this is a scam.  I have never done any business with this company listed & will take any necessary actions with the assistance of my attorney to make sure that this stops!

Caller, very broken English, heavy on the Indian, claiming monied owed.  Claiming to be a processor for an attorney.  We continually get these phone calls,, you can tell they are from the same person, using different names, and calls generated from different states. We have requested a  " Affidavit of Debt" which they can not provide, but will tell you they will send a form for you to sign then they will send the information, but not until after you allow them to debit your account.   Never but never give them permission, or confirm any accounts which you may have, verbally or written.  That is what they want, if you ever do, your sunk,  We have called the loan companies just to make sure,, and they admit off the record that their records have been hacked in to.  Remember, should you default on a loan,, that is not a jailable offense,, at least in the U.S.A. , it may be in India.  Best adivice I can give, have some fun, ask them how they are,, what the weather is, how are their kids, parents etc.   this really un-nerves them.  Have checked with several agencies, they can do nothing about this scam they are trying to pull off, you have two choices, put up with it, and have the fun, or change your phone number,  but by all means,, close any financial accounts you have and open new ones.

I received three calls within 24 hours, all from "unavailable" or "restricted", claiming that there are "legal allegations" against me and my "social number". I decided to call back to the number they provided (347-927-1843), to figure out what the hell was going on, and talked to a suspicious character who said that if I don't settle, I will be in big legal trouble and will end up in court. I asked who is accusing me, and he mentioned Cash Advance and it's associate companies. I asked how much it would cost to settle and he said $475. I said that a) I have not had any loans such as those given by Cash Advance in a long time (and always paid them back right away) and b) there is no way I'm paying anything without at least receiving something legit in the mail, regarding this. He then quickly mentioned that he's turning my case over to the legal department and said goodbye. This obviously seems highly suspicious as a scam, but nonetheless it is very unnerving to even consider that I could be in legal trouble. Very frustrating...
