Just got same message from Luara! I gave my number and address! Am I in trouble can she scam me by any chance!?!? So scared!

I just gave my cell number to Luara and name and address. Can they hack anything?! With that info ?

I reported to care.com already.  I got the call from laura as well.  The email she is using is laurakey24@hotmail.com  Do not reply to her.

They just did the same thing to my boyfriend! She said her name was Laura and she needed a babysitter for her son Carl.  He sent all his information, then they were going to forward $500 to him but lucky he thought it was a scam. So, I googled the number and luckly found this website! Can they get a hold of his bank account or any his other information? Also how should he report it?

This person got my information from care.com also and scammed me for $3,000. Please report this person if they contact you. I have filed a police report on this individual.

I got the same email with a check form civicus,$2,550 I believed it I deposited and it bounce they said they would send me another one ,I'm so mad What can we do?

Omg!!!!!!! I just saw this, I receive this mail last night... They need a sitter for Carl and they wanted to pay me 500 upfront payment but I respond to all mails, with all my info and my picture.
I need help I don't know what to do now. PLEASE WHAT SHOULD I DO.

I live in Akron, Ohio.  At 2am got a text from this number.  Said it was from Caroline S from Care.com (Carolineschilder678@hotmail.com)  Needed a sitter for son Carl.  It's a scam!  Do not reply!!!

Text at 1 a.m. From Carissa B looking for a sitter for son Carl. Almost identical to another scam text I got earlier this week. Such a shame that the only hits I'm getting from care.com are scams. Don't reply.

I just also received a text message from a Carissa Burke saying that they needed a sitter for their son Carl. They asked me to email them any questions I had. I believe as well that they got my contact info from care.com

Hi I got this message just a few days ago. Luckly for me my bank is smarter then me. They realized it was a scam and forcibly closed my account before any thing bad happened. #thankgod

This is just what was sent to my "friend"........ they overnighted the check to her at her home and wanted her to pick up some items at Babies R Us for Beetle tomorrow.  They also had her do a drug test and actually called on her work references.....

and the name conceicaozubricky65@hotmail.com saying they got my information from care.com. It's 2013 people, I'm sure most everyone has seen dateline, 48 hours or Dr.Phil. Based on the poor English and grammar it's definitely someone in a third world country scamming innocent people using a fake 'child' as their scape goat. Don't fall for it!!!! You're smarter than that ;)

Got a text at 1 am with same bs listed above. I googled it because it didn't even make sense what was sent. Scam artist while legit people a are trying to earn their money and support their family. I don't even think they are Americans.

Just got a text and email from Connie regarding her son Carl. It is the same as the story above with sending $500 and seeing some store manager. The number she texted me from was 940-580-9075 which is a TX number. Scam, scam, scam...

I'm in Orlando and "Connie" texted me as well using my info on care.com. Saying pretty much the same things you guys are saying. Needing babysitting for her son Carl and they will be in my area at a hotel for a month, etc.... Glad I googled it before giving out my info and falling for anything.

This just happened to me im so glad something didnt sit right with me and i was able to retract my acceptance. The person used the name Connie.

I got a text message from connie altamirano  thinking that she got my information from either care.com or gonannies.com. I replyed then get and email that she and carl will be at a hotel near me and she arrange her job hours according to the hours I want.  then and email say will send an advance payment for son Carl's items plus $500 so that I can forward it to a store manger and the store manger will me stuff before they arrive. This doesn't sound like any sitter job I ever had before and not sure it makes sense.  It seems very fishy to me.  When I do a reverse number look up with the number on the text message it comes back saying VoIP phone from New York City, NY  name not available. I don't know if I trust this deal.

It just happened to me....and as soon I seen the advance payment I new something wasn't right

This just happened to me and now I'm out 1,800. Wish I had seen this sooner.

They are scammers who will try to send you advance payment and will ask you to forward that payment to a third party.

They Celestino Riojas is the name, are trying to get someone to watch her son Jed. Got my information from Care.com. Will try to send you a advancement of payment. Please don't respond, and if it has happened to you, please report.
