They called again.Told them the anly virus i hade was them calling.

Calls from this number more than a few times daily, NOTHING, no voice, no message!! ANNOYING AS HELL

This is a total scam.  This group is calling from overseas.  Microsoft & other companies do NOT call you to tell you that you have a virus.  For one, how do they even know you have a computer?  Now, this has become a bigger issue because carriers & other service providers have started to offer remote virus protection for your computers.  If you have signed up for one of these services & get a phone call saying there is an issue, hang up.  Then, call your service provider's techincal support line & ask if there are any issues.  Never trust anyone that just calls you.  This is a growing problem.  This group only needs a small number of people to take the bait.  They are most likely looking for you to give them access to your computer so that they can steal your identity or break into your various financial & other accounts.  Again, don't believe anyone that calls you claiming to be whoever.  You should hang up.  If concerned, call your service provider & inquire about the claim.  If you have already given this group access to your computer, I would do full anti-virus, anti-mailware & anti-spyware scans.  I would also ensure that you disabled any remote access that you may have given them.  Finally, I would monitor your financial & other accounts very regularly over the coming couple of months.  

Another possibility is that this group is looking to extort money by claiming that they removed some non-existent virus.  Keep in mind that if they have access to your computer, they can deliver a virus.  So, you need to make sure you cutoff their access.  My point is that if they still have access to your computer & you refuse to pay, they could do damage to your computer.  If they are requesting payment & still have access to your computer, put them on hold & disconnect your computer from the Internet.  Then, go into your computer & disable remote access.  Finally, hang up on them.  

It is better not to engage them at all.

I got a call form 350-863-3210 this afternoon.  The caller said his name was Marshall and he was calling in reference to a computer problem.  The weird thing is that I was having a computer email problem and I had been searching on line for a possible cure for the last few days but I new we had not put in any kind of service call. I could also hear someone in the background that sounded like they were having a similar conversation with another caller.  I told Marshall I was busy and ask him for a call back number. He started to give it to me and stopped and wanted to talk about my computer again.  I ask him who gave him my number and he hung up.  The other strange thing to me was that he ask for me by name. Still trying to figure out how he had my name.

These people say they are Tech Support and a Trojan Horse/Virus is on my computer.  Then they remove it  and want $89.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Called 5 times in the last half hour...really starting to piss me off, I work at home and this is BS!!

Got a call from this number today [East Indian accent]; he said he was from Microsoft Tech Dept in Michigan and they were getting error messages from my PC. They wanted to help me get rid of several viruses they said I had. When he asked me to type in www.ammyy.com so he could have access to my computer, I said no way. He handed me over to his supervisor who tried to do the same thing. I asked him how do I know you're not the bad guy trying to gain access to my PC??? He tried to convince me he was trying to help me but couldn't prove he was who he said he was. He even said if anyone calls you and says they're from Microsoft, don't believe it because Microsoft won't call you and yet he told me he's from MS Tech dept. While he's trying to talk me into it, I google the phone number and find out it's a scam. There are several youtube videos showing the scam. I told him I'd have my son who is a computer tech, help me with any computer issues I might have and told him to take me off his list, then hung up on him. Probably should've threatened him first. I tried to look up area code 350 and it said it was in Gibraltar, a small European country...

This number has called my phone three times in the past 30 minutes, no answer yet.  I said hello, waited for about ten seconds, then a recorded voice said "goodbye".  that's it so far. .

Got a call from this number yesterday about Microsoft sending error messages from some dude with an Indian accent. I caught on right away that it was a scam. He wanted me to go to www.ammyy which after I looked it up on Google turns out to be an ongoing scam by these people to gain remote access to your computer. Once I realized what he was trying to do, I got a little angry with him, told him I was not falling for his crap, and told him to get off my phone and out of my country. It annoys me when non-workers try to take from those of us who work!

On 21 August 2012 at 1:25pm (CDT) got a call from "Hanna"...said my computer was sending error messages to Microsoft and she wanted to help me...asked where she was calling from...she said Troy (she had a foreign accent) told her I was to busy now, give me phone number and/or wed site...she gave me 1-888-613-9227 and said the web site was www.supercc.com.  Told her I was busy and I would call her. She said I can't call her because I would not get her and she wanted to talk with me...told her to try tomorrow. after I hung up i looked up www.supercc.com on my browser - it is a financial technology firm (did not bring it up, maybe later I will try after I do some more checking) Tried the phone number hanna gave me - I got:
we're sorry your call cannot be completed as dialed.  I have caller ID - tried the number she called me from - I got -  we're sorry - you must first dial a 1 or a zero plus area code when dialing this number. I did dial 1 plus area code 3 times - same message. It very likely is a scam in an attempt to get into my computer.  Be aware. Wish You All Happiness!!!

Answered the phone (like to do this once in awhile to get them to stop calling) and same as others commented.  Bad connection, and was saying something and a computer problem , blah blah blah.  Hard to understand, just hung up after about 10 seconds.

Company called telling me my computer has a virus.  I had already had my computer checked for that last virus thing and it was fine.
Concerns me is that they had my address too.
I think they were trying to get my passwords or something.  He kept saying he was from my main server and they keep getting error reports.  Said the company was pc computer experts.  (I use a MAC)

this number is ge collection agency......they call me for an ex relative living in another state....the ex is a 15 year old divorce....i have told them to stop calling me....3 nites in a row 2 calls today

Another new # calling me. No message of course. Guess this is another one I will have to block. Thanks to the folks who tell us who these scammers are.

Got a call from this number today saying we have a computer virus. We have gotten similar calls before; it is just a scam to try to get remote access to your computer. This one pretended to be from an IT company of some kind rather than Microsoft though.

This number called me twice today, I only picked up the second time. There was silence for about fifteen seconds, a beep, and then a recorded voice saying "Goodbye." Frankly, it creeped me out.

saw this number on my caller ID - wasn't home when call came in, and do not have voice mail.  no company name listed on Caller ID.  i suspected a telemarketer, even though i'm on the Do Not Call list.  thanks to this website, i can confirm these sorts of unwanted calls.  i always file an online complaint with the FCC.

got a call from this number.after saying hello 3 times the person on the other end hung up.when i tried to call back i got the message that the number was disconnected.

Caller claimed there was "a problem with a computer" at my number.

We recently started getting calls from this number but nobody is there.  Very annoying.  There isn't a name on the caller I.D. and only says "out of area".

I got a phone call saying they got my phone # from the database and were from Liberty PC Care and wanted to help me with a reported virus.
Seems to be a hoax as these folks want to get remote access of your machine.

I keep receiving calls from this number. I answered the phone one time only to tell the guy to take me off his list. Obviously that did not work!
