I have received more than 150 (I have them documented) calls from these criminals. I have filed more that 50 complaints with the FTC however due to the fact that they hide behind spoofed numbers I doubt that they will ever stop any of them. They ask for up front fees and charge your credit card without performing any services.

I find that I am getting great enjoyment by pressing 1 and talking to one of their "reps". I have a phony name, credit card number, and security code that I use. The only legitimate number that I give them is the customer service number from a credit card that I no longer use since the card raised my rates.
I try to ask the criminals as many questions as possibe to keep them on the phone as long as I can. The scammers seem to get upset once they finally figure out that THEY are getting scammed. I guess they think their time is more valuable than mine.

The guys behind this scam have a slew of corporations, many of them defunct. I searched using the name ?American Debt Negotiators? and found the name of the Registered Representative was a guy named RAN BARNEA, aca RAN DAVID BARNEA, aca DAVID R BARNEA. He is also listed as the president of a whole slew of other active corporations. Another guy is DANIEL T. POST. This stuff is all public record. Received this call, nothing showed on Caller ID, and they didn't leave a message.  I didn't answer it.

I got same call...many times.  Each time I patiently explain we have no credit card debt and/or interest, NOT INTERESTED...etc.  Still they call back.  have reported them to dnc list and will do so again.  don't expect that to deter them, however, unless everyone does it.

I just got a call from that number.  Thank goodness for caller ID.  If I don't recognize the number, I don't pick up.  Figures it was something like this.  Bottomfeeders.  I am grateful there are sites like this to go to to check out suspicious callers.

I agree so I did it! MORE PEOPLE NEED TO FILE A REPORT! Imgine how many fools fall for this scam~ These people hang up on me every single time I talk to a real person...I am on the national do not call and a telazapper! Imagine how pissy there calls make me!

Received one of these calls. I am suspicious of the method they are using. I will talk to them and give them any information they want  -- only it is something I make up at the time. I try to tie them up for as long as I can. DO NOT give them any information that is factual. I feel like it is an attempt to get your credit information and you can guess what will happen next. By the way I DON'T have any credit cards and haven't for over 25 years. I'm 59 years old and my Daddy told me, "If you can't pay cash for it you don't need it".

computer call stating they would lower my interest rate..press 9 and speak with live person.  I did and they began to verify my information.  When I questioned the fact that my address was incorrect and then questioned why they needed me to tell them the balance of my account, the line simply went dead...

Answered the phone and a recorded message said "if interested in lowering your interest rate press 9".  I did that and the person that answered seemed to not be able to hear me but I sure could hear her.  This is the sec. time they have called.

I too have started receiving them... What you see on your caller ID are spoofed numbers (fake generated phone numbers)...Everyone should call the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). These idiots just keep calling no matter how many times you tell them not to. So PLEASE, EVERYONE, press the appropriate number to be connected to a real person. They make millions of calls a day. If every call resulted in just a couple of seconds of tying up a real person before they hang up on you, the company would soon find their labor costs too high to continue this harassment.

I don't answer these calls, but my phone carrier said this was probably of pre-paid phone card. I have family and friends that may use pre-paid, but I don't want my information coming up if this is a scam number.

I used to work for one of these companies. They are a legitimate business, but you people who think you're on the "do not call" list, when you press 9, you are consenting to the call. By pressing 9, it also puts you back into the system like you are interested. Speaking to a live person is futile because they are just people sitting in a cubicle with a phone... They have absolutely no control over removing people from the "list."

Computer recording said it wanted to lower my interest rate on my credit cars, press 9 to talk to someone, so I did, asked who they were he says we are account services from Visa and Mastercharge, claimed he worked for the company, then says you pressed 9 to lower your rates, and wanted to verify my personal info, instead I told him, interesting you want to lower rates on cards I don't have, plus I'm on the do not call list at which point the line went dead. Looked up the number because it looked phoney, 352-000-9876 yeah right, which is how I got here to post this.

Credit card interest reduction call.  When I told them I had credit cards they hung up!  A little odd.

I have received several of these "lower your interest rate on your credit cards" calls.  They all seem to be from different area codes but they all start with 000 and have different suffixes.  Also keep getting the same recording from Clinton Bouton 407-682-2241.  I can't imagine what they would have to gain doing this.  I have pressed 9 to speak to a live person and nobody is there.  Seriously, people, why?  Super sick of this crap.  Who works for these people and why?

I have gotten a call for the past several days each tine the prefix and the last 4 numbers are the same however the area code changes 407, 352, and 904 are the one i get.

After realizing the similarities in the nimbers I got an idea

My 3 year old loves to talk on the phone and will talk for hours if you let her.
When the 904 area code called i pushed 9 as instructed and a lady answered stating she had information on my credit card, I told her to hold on for a moment while I put her on with my secretary then handed the phone to my 3 year old.
"HI Im Courtney, do you like Barbies? I have a Pony and I like Dolls." I let her talk for about 10 minutes and they havent called back. now I direct all calls from telemarketers and bill collectors to my "secretary"
At least we can get a laugh about it.

Receive calls from this number all the time but let call go to voice mail and a message is never left.

I got a call from this number today 8/18/09. Didn't answer. My advice to everyone who reads this board.....get caller ID and don't answer any number you don't recognize. It's a simple solution to a vexing problem.

Got a call from these guys twice.  I'd post the audio if the board would accept attachments.  Waste of time!  If only my filter would have caught the invalid 000 NXX

Call from 352-000-9876.
The call goes something like this:  ?This call is from credit card services. We are not calling to report a problem
with your credit card.  You can reduce your interest rates.  Please press 9 now to lower your interest rates?.  

This is the fifth call we?ve received with the same message.  The first three times we just hung up.  The fourth and fifth time, I recorded the date, time and number.  

Today, during the fifth call, I pressed 9 and a live person came on the phone asking if I was responding to the offer.  I said, ?no? and asked that he please remove us from their calling list.  Before I finished the sentence, the representative hung up on me.

BTW, at least one of the other calls came from 117-333-0000.  

I have reported both of these number to the Federal Trade Commission in my complaint.  I would encourage others to file complaints as well.  BTW, if you have trouble with the on-line form, just send the same pieces of information to the FTC by email. Their contact email is on the website.

I also don't answer if I don't know who it is;  Now that I googled this number, here's what I do - And PLEASE PLEASE do report them to www.donotcall.gov.  But...here's the best thing ever - Get an airhorn - little cheap one from Walmart $1.99 - now when I'm sure of a scam artist calling I get them on the line and BLAMMMMOOOO  Air Horn To The Ear!!!  I ususally don't get bothered after that...LOL
