Just got a call from this number again. They have been calling me at least 2 times a day everyday for at least 2 weeks! I finally decided to answer even though I don't know the number. I had to say hello 2 times before a man answered. Alot of noise in the background. He asked for me by name. I asked who he was, he didn't tell me. I said "I am not interested in whatever it is you are selling please take me off of your calling list." He got mad at me and said "You sure don't sound like Bobbi" and was still talking when I hung up on him.

I'm no the National Do Not Call List. This place has called me for the last week. Each time, they have called me by the wrong name, told me I have registered with them, and that I won something. Each time I ask where I registered, and they cannot answer. I also tell them I am on the DNC list, and they say they will remove me from the list.
Time to file a complain.

Same thing happened to me that happened to OntarioF. When I asked how they got my number she told me my relationship with the publishers, when I told her I never heard of that company she hung up.
| Velshi Smith 2013-04-19 17:18:04 Unknown |
I recieved a call a few minutes ago. She said they would be sending me 250 dollars in gift cards to use online and that was it. She asked my age and work status saying it was to help better understand their customers. Then she said that's all I hope you enjoy your gift cards. Have a nice day.

I just recieved a call from this number. (352)200-4761
They said it was Super Publishers.
I asked: How did you get my name?
They said: Your credit card and debit card. They are still in good standings right. She went on to say I had won magazines.
Again I said: Where did you get my information.
She again said: Your credit card and debit.
I said : Credit cards and banks don't give out private information and she hung up on me.

NCP / Nature Coast Publishers' Service
I've been receiving calls from this number for at least a week, but when I call back, it sends me straight to a tone. This time, I answered and was told that because of my relationship with "the publishers," I was eligble for a $1000 online shopping gift certificate and 60 issue subscriptions to 5 national magazines (two of which, I alreay subscribe to, so they clearly weren't in league with the actual publishers). They told me that 3 were free, and 2 would be at a discounted fee of $3.83 a week, to be billed monthly. But their behavior and questions seemed very off. They were clearly in possession of my full name, my phone number, and my address.
The first person, Danielle, failed to adequately answer my questions, claiming she was new. She said she couldn't give me a company name better than NCP, although she started to say Nature Coast, and then corrected herself. She asked what I do for a living and my age, in order to help the publishers better target consumers. I was very skeptical, but she said there were no automatic payments and that some information would come in the mail. Then she told me her supervisor would call back to confirm some information. She said that the order had already been put through and that my order number was.... 1221.
When the gentleman, Nathan, called back momentarily, he repeated the profession and age I gave the first person and asked what the name of my company was and what year I had been born. When I told him that I wanted more information from them before I was willing to give him the information, he said "This is just for the records. I could care less. For all I care, you can make something up." When I continued to question him, he screamed "Ya' know what? We don't need your business," and hung up on me. This is clearly and evidently not normal.

The calls come from "The Publishing Company" (according to their operators). However the company is actually named "Nature Coast Publications". They are an extremely shady operation and will outright lie to you about their promotion. They will tell you you were selected as a Visa/MC holder, then ask you if you are a Visa/MC holder. But it gets better. Then they tell you that you won $1000 and that to get it you only have to pay a "small shipping and handling fee". That fee is $3.36 a week -- for the next 60 months -- during which time they will also send you subscriptions for three magazines of your choice. That price obviously exceeds the price of magazine subscriptions considering *every* magazine offers subscriptions at far below the cover price. If you tell them you're interested, they will *always* say your order number is 1221. Then you'll get a call back from (352) 200 4760 and they will ask for your credit card number. I cannot stress how important it is that you not give them any information about yourself or your credit card. If they call you, let them tell you all about the promotion so you can hear for yourself how sketchy it is. The operators I commonly have heard are "Amanda", "Antoine", "Ruby", "Penny", and others. Sometimes if you ask for their name, they'll just hang up on you. Cut them off at the pass and just hang up on them if they call. -INeedAttention.com
