This number calls my cell phone every day but never leaves a message.  I am on the DoNotCalllist.

Yes, because the only possible reason people don't pay their debts is because they are' irresponsible' - not unemployment, illness, etc. It's all for fun. *sarcasm* get off your high horse.

I think you folks are all jumping on the wrong wagon! I received a call from this number. The fellow was looking for someone with my name. I know this to be possible, as I have actually met one of "us." Turns out my name-sharer is a bum! If people would be responsible, and pay their debts, there would be no "scum" hunting them down!!! It all just costs us money in the long run, ie. insurance fraud etc.

first of all it is illegal for them to call and  NOT state their company name, their name and who they want to contact, second it is illegal for them to ask about a family member or  neighbor or call before 8 am your time or  after 9 PM your time .  Check out the web for the  Federal Fair Credit Reporting act and  fill out the complaint form  giving their phone number time and date of call and anything else you remember from the call.

I received a call from Adam Acosta asking info about my neighbor Sheri Kirkland This is illegal and the number he called from was modified on the caller Id He called from 352-414-1921 and gave me a return # of 888-593-8403 x 285
 How did he get my number and what gives him the right to harass me about her debt and I might add he has called me at least 5 times 3 I missed and 2 I got off my call log 4.40 on 9/21
and then 9.32 on 9/22 I will be reporting this the the law.

Absolutely calling nonstop 12 times in a row one after another.Everyday all day.Annoying.

He was a real jerk!

got a phone call on monday at 859 pm. the man didn't give his name and he was rude when i told him he has the wrong number. he said over and over he wanted to speak to laura meadows. told him not at this number or address. he said that he wasn't calling me a liar but that he thinks i was her. told him not to call this number again and remove me from where ever he got it from. i then called the number back and the lady that answered told me it was united recovery company for debts and she is sorry i got a call like this. she also informed me that my number was removed with the person they are trying to get a hold of.

They asked if I was at an address that I wasn't at-so I questioned how they got this phone number connected with that name and address...no answer for that. These are just people doing their job-whatever that is, and they don't have the answers. Ugh.

I got a call from a guy named Jeff.  I asked if I could take a message and he said no.  I found it strange so I put the number into the Internet and found this page.  Some crap huh?

number showed up with a 352 area code, so I answered, and it was this United Recovery Services looking for someone. Told them this is no longer that persons number.

had the same number call me twice this morning and Chris Bowie said he wanted to speak with my daughter and gave me the number of 8885051573 x7038 to call him back, after asking him several times where he was located at he told me Houston, Tx, so i asked him why it showed up with a 352 area code, he told me it was something inside the phone company that made it do it..just another underhanded collection practice

If you get a call from this number, make sure you get the agent's name or employee number and make sure you make them identify the company they work for.  United Recovery Services is a debt collector that works with Dell Financial Services.  They are actually located in Texas (near or in Dallas, I think)

However, it is now a violation of Florida State law to intentionally modify your Caller-ID information.  Collect as much information as you can and notify your local law enforcement office of the call.  Inform them that they are in violation of Florida State Law and to never call you again.  Call your telephone provider to have them document the date and time of each call (they will call again even after being warned).  You can then contact your State Attorney to have them prosecuted as well as sue them in Civil Court, if you decide.

Maybe after enough people report them, they will get a wake-up call about illegal calls in Florida.
