This number called me yesterday and I didnt know who it was. Just got the call today. They were some kind of publisher calling to give a $1000 online shopping spree. All they needed was my confirmation on receiving the magazine subscription for $3.82 weekly. But they said we wouldnt bother you with such a small payment, so they will bill me monthly. Well after I was finished with "Dawn". Her immediate supervisor called back to verify everything..... No homeboy wants a credit card to place the order. When I inquired more info on the shoppong spree, he got indignant and aske me " IF I want the Magazines." I told him Im interested in the shopping spree that you originally talked about to lure me...He said (in a smart a** way) thank you very much and hung up. These chumps need to be report to the FBI.

Got a call today, they called three times earlier, but I didn't answer and no message was left. Later in the evening I answered. A woman named Ruby said she was from a Publisher and that I had won $1000 online shopping spree, and that I would receive a bonus subscription of 5 magazines for $3.85 a week. I would just have to pay the $3.85 a week or a monthly payment and I would receive all 5 magazines for 60 months at that price. She then added that she was new to this job, and her supervisor may call me later to check on how she did. She was very friendly and even told me she was from Chicago, where I currently live. After I got off the phone. Less than 2 minutes later I received a phone call from her so called supervisor. He quickly asked me how Ruby did, and then proceeded to ask me questions. Asked my birth date and then asked me between Visa, Mastercard and Discover, which card service I preferred. After that he repeated the deal they were offering for $3.85 a week for the 5 magazine subscription. He then asked me my expiration date for my credit card so that the automatic bill payment could go into effect. This whole thing felt fishy from the beginning and the minute he asked for credit card info, I told him I wasn't comfortable giving my info over the phone. I asked him if I could pay online or by mail, just to see what his reaction would be. He then harshly said, NO, you can't pay online, when I asked why, he replied, "this is phone sales" I then repeated that I didn't want to give my credit card over the phone. There was a pause and then a click. He hung up. SCAM! Don't get suckered into this.
The numbers that called me up include:
352-688-1761
352-688-3760
352-688-3853
352-688-1721

They called me today. Wikipedia says the area code is in and around Gainsville, FL. He offered me a magazine subscription, but rather than the typical cheery tone it was more of a threatening tone. He said, "you're on 1100 Grant St. I wasn't born yesterday." I'm not on Grant at all. Weird.

This phone number along with phone numbers ending in 1093 and 3378 have been calling me for the past week. They call every day during working hours and never leave messages. I called back each number with no answer or message machine that makes sense.
