I recieved the same call, Grant amount 7,800. Give Western Union 225.00 deposit (why?) when you get there, they'll return it when they give you the grant money. Sounds crazy to me. The number she gave me was (202 ) 621-0076, Address Independance Way building HHH, Washington, DC.

Senior Officer I.D. was #202621-0076 and Western Union #LB0257. What a Scammer.....Annoyed!

I just received a call from a Lisa Brown saying that I had a grant from the government and that it was not for me to pay back. I listened to her and asked questions and remained calm. I then told her that Western Union doesn't allow money of that amount she said I was entitled too. $8025.00 with  a security deposit fee of $225.00 which I did need to call her Senior Officer for instructions on what to do when I made it into the Western Union. She then began to studdder and tell me not to disclose any of this information to the people in Western Union because it would effect my grant. REALLY???? So I just continued to listened and not agree until she hung up. WOW?????. This person was really desperate and think people in the U.S. are ignorant....

i have received multiple calls from this number and i usually dont answer numbers i dont recongnize and once i did it was a woman with a thick accent who said she was from the federal us government ha! with an accent like that? i doubt it she could hardly say the words! and she tried to sound very serious. i was actually kind of rude and said "oh really? what the hell do you want from me?" and she hung up on me! now that i know its a scam i cant wait till they call back so i can mess with their heads! i love the internet :)

The Korean guy with heavy accent told me the same story, and keep asking me my privacy, such as if I am married or have boyfriend, if I am working. I told him it is not his business. I want to stop him and he won't stop and keep asking. Got very angry on this *

I received a call from this number, didn't answer because it was a strange number. I looked it up and read the comments on this site. They called me back and hour later so I answered, a foreign lady asked for me by name, and stated that she worked for the federal government and my name and number had been chosen, but then I cut her off and told her, I work for the Government so I know this isn't tru,  I know she is just trying to do a scam, do not call me again and I hung up. Hopefully they do not call back! So irritating!

I received a call this morning from these people that said I was selected for a federal grant from the government that was mines to keep. I was selected due to the fact I never filed bankrupt and some other stuff. Told me I would receive $7,800 where I had to get it from the closest Western Union but had to make a $225 security deposit. His name was David Steve,id # DS2534C,file # 12759and told me to call his Sr. Officer at 202-261-0076. I knew it was a scam because this offer was too good tobe true. Please watch out for these people.

This number has called me 3 times now, today I answer and its a Hispanic man asking for my fiancee not saying his name right, so I corrected him 3 times, he got rude so I Hung up, called back calling me a bi***, so I snapped off Hung up again, he called back and said bi*** I want your p**sy, are you serious right now, tried to call the number back and it said I had the wrong code or number, I'm so mad sought now I dnt even know what to do, how do I report this?

They just call me 5 mins ago with the same story. How can we stop them and how did they get our numbers in the first place?

This number keeps calling me. When I asked the girl to stop calling me she said she cant stop calling me because its important stuff. I told her if she and her company does not stop calling me, I will go to the police and I hung up. So I want to know how they got our numbers in the first place and how can we stop them?

This happened to me too, they,ve been calling me for a week already, at first they didnt answer now they finally asked me for a 225 deposit to receive the "grant" for 7,800 and I just kept on talking and they told them to send me the info via email and they hanged up! I think we should tell them that we already call the police and that they will find them because of the phone signal.

Thia number called me and I was told that if I sent in $425.00 I could get a grant up too 8,367.00 in grant so I did and know I'm out of money and I don't know what to do someone please help

Has been calling constantly about a free government grant, I figured this was a fraud because the government doesn't contact you for grants.

I got this called yesterday and this guy with a heavy accent told me that he worked for the U.S. Government Agency and he told me that I was randomly selected for a grant of $7800. When I tried to get his name and phone number, he told me that his name was "John Smith" and his phone number was (202) 621-0076 and he called he from 354-879-5865 which I found really odd. I told the guy if I can call him another day but he insisted to call him back the same day and then later on the day another i received another phone number of a female with a heavy accent questioning me if my email was correct. I told her who was she and she shouted at me saying if my email was correct. I told her once more who was she with my voice louder and firmer and she hanged up me. I've been receiving 25 different area codes from the same guy and I knew right away that it was a scam.

Fyi... Google voice will allow a person to... "create" a presence...
... Ie: get a number with a particular area code... N forward those calls to a real number...

This lady Named Sara Jones, (american name), but had a thick accent could hardly understand what she was saying informed me I was selected to receive 7,800 in grant money. Said don't gamble, drink, or buy any illegal substances with the money. Told me to go to the nearest Western Union, take my cell phone, picture id and 225$. I told her this was a scam nobody pays for government grant money, she then starts talking about how if it were a scam why would she give her name and employee id number and work address, claiming to be a verification officer. Said once I got to western Union to call 202-621-0076 and they would walk me through the process. She caught herself up because she said once you get your 7,800 and 225$ back I would have a total of 8,225, I'm thinking no the amount should be 8,025$, but anyway this is definitely a scam, please don't be silly and send them your hard earned money..

Yup definitly a scam. I really hope no one is dumb enough to ever wire money for more money. Told them it was a wrong number and he started cursing me out even spelled it out for me. "f*** you! f*** you! F-U-C-K" Then he called me a buffalo lmao what kind of insult is that?? I laughed told him good thing he knows how to spell and hung up.

My husband and I have had 3 calls from this phone number. My husband told them the first time that to send it in the mail and he would take care of it. The second time I told him the same thing but he said I needed to send money thru Western Union. I told him not to call again. About 5 minutes ago we got a call back from the same number, this time we didn't answer it. How can we get this person to stop calling us? This person needs to go to jail. he isn't the only one calling Strayer University keeps calling even though we both had told them not to call back.

The guy on the phone asked me to pay $ 225 and get $ 7800 grant money. He wanted me to call 202-621-0076 and get my "grant" verified. 202-621-0076 is actually a phone number in Washington. So I think these people must have some division in Washington.

The most funny part is when I could not hear clearly what his name was, the guy got a little angry and yelled at me. At that moment, I think he is cute, ha.

Ive received calls from 3548795865 and they have been calling all week long but once I answer they hang up. I called the number back but it is saying "Not a working number"

They started calling yesterday. I have received 2 calls today. Keep sending them to voice mail.

They call me several times a day, asking for Nanny Amber. There is no such person here, never was.
How to make them stop calling?
