Same useless message as everyone else. Offering to "lower my credit card rates".  

Hey, folks. I've gotten a lot of the calls always with the middle block of numbers as 000 in the number. (729-000-9896, 283-000-5429, & now 355-000-1235)  Clearly they are spoofing their number so complaints can't be filed about them.  No telling where they are really calling from.  Only thing you can do is NOT answer their call.  If they stop making money, then they'll stop calling all of us.  Maybe also call the FBI.  It's now illegal to spoof your phone number.

Reason you get these calls even if you are on the do not call list, is because these are scam artists trying to steal your information and identity.   Odd thing is criminals don't have to follow laws like do not call lists.

I just got this call from the above #; it was a recorded message about credit card rates.  What is with these calls.  I'm on the DO NOT CALL list.  How can I stop THESE calls?

Stupid jerks calling claiming to be "my" credit card security department but that I should not be alarmed, simply press 9 to speak with someone about lowering my interest rate.  Of course pressing 9 results in lots of clicking, ringing, and the ultimate "if you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again".  What a bunch of time-wasting morons.

I got a call claiming to be from my credit card company. Says to press 9 to talk to someone about lowering my credit card rates. When I press 9, a lady asks if I am ready to lower my credit card rate. I asked what company this is and she hung up on me!

Call came today at 1:42p Pacific Time. Caller ID: 355-000-1235. I answered, knowing that the triple zeroes mean it is probably a scam. The auto responder said to press 9 to lower my credit card interest rate. No company name or card name mentioned, of course. So I pressed 9 & one of those nutwipes came on the line to ask if I pressed 9, and I said yes. Then, I asked what card he was calling about. The line went dead. Duh!? I am on the Do Not Call List, too. So, it would seem that the Do Not Call List is as big a con as the one who just hung up on me. Oh well......

This phone is from Albania, but I think if you really look at the CID you'll find that it is routed thru 402-220-0356 (which is in Omaha) & then also throu 509-570-0925, probably a cell phone.  Really strange.  I've blocked the US numbesr from my phone.

How do I get these people to stop calling me.  I tried to call the 355-000-1235 but it won't go thru.  Any one have a suggestion

I got a call from this number 3550001235 and that it was "card holder services". Since I like to catch these calls and ask them to take me off their calling list, I dialed 9 when prompted. A woman answered and asked me if I'd like to lower my interest rates. I said "Actually I'd like you to take me off your calling list." She replied "Well guess what, we are going to call you every hour of every day, so just get over it"! and then hung up. I was totally taken aback because I had asked her politely and everything.

This area code is from Calgary, Canada. The company name is "Card Member Services". I spoke to a young man by the name of Kurt. When I asked him name of the company and his name, he gave me the info. But when I told him I had no credit cards and I was on the DO NOT CALL LIST, he shut up. I know he was still on the line but he wouldn't say another word. I have had several calls from this company and have requested each time to take my number off their calling list. But it doesn't work.

Received a call from this number earlier today.  (Have received calls from this number a couple times in the past as well.  It's pretty unique having a number like xxx-000-xxxx since you cannot call it back.)

I answered the phone and was informed I was able to get a 6.9% interest rate on my card if I act now (by pressing 9 on my phone.)
Like last time, I pressed 9 on my phone and had to wait 30-60 seconds for a person to actually answer.  When they did, they were certain to ask again if I had in fact pressed '9' to talk to them.  They seemed pretty adamant about making sure.  Since I was busy I ended up just hanging up on them this time.  But I was planning on trying to get as much information from them as I could.

If you do ask what company they are with, or ask to be removed from their list, they WILL just hang up on you.  (that happened on the first call.)

When I tallked to them the second time, they asked how much credit card debit I had and they didn't want to talk to me unless I had OVER $10k of debit. (I was informed I didn't qualify and was then hung up on.)

I placed a call to the local FBI office and was informed this is a scam and operating overseas.  I was directed to the FCC website if I wanted to file a complaint.

I do plan to lead them on next time they call to see if I can get more information to file a complaint with.

I have received at least 15 or more calls from this number, a recording first then asked to dial 9.  The person who answers hangs up as soon as I ask to have my number eliminated fro their list.  At one time there was a number that seemed to come from N.Y.  I called it and was told  it was after office hours.  When I tried again I received no answer.  Please tell me what I can do to . Thank you.

these folks keep calling. There doesn't appear to be a way to get your # away from them. Its a prerecorded message with nothing about how to remove your #.
Just is just plain harassment.
my number is on the do not call list and i thought thats what the list was for. People like this....

I received a phone, recorded message (female) claiming to be from card services and asking if I wanted to reduce credit card interest rates.  If so, press 9.  After doing so a male answered (sounding like he?d been interrupted in mid-bite) and said he could reduce our rates to 6.9%.  I asked which card this was for.  He responded it was for Master Card and Visa.  Then he asked if we normally carried a large balance or had a high rate.  I said neither and commented that this was sounding like a very odd call.  He then hung up.

The call showed as ?unknown name? from 355-000-1235.

Got a call from this number.  Wasn't home to get it but noticed it on my caller logs.  Googled the number, and now it is blocked on my Ooma system.

Ooma is the greatest ever!

I have only had my phone number for a very short time and get calls for the previous owner of this number.  A message consisting of nothing but an electronic blip was left on my machine.  I'm getting very weary of the robocalls from this and other numbers.

Hit 9 and "Chris" answered. Asked "Chris" not to hang up. Nothing else was said and "Chris" responded right away and said "Ok, i'm going to hang up."

Reported the call on that useless national do not call list.

They left no message I screen all calls, message must be left or no call back. Call back also depends on time of day how I feel and who you are and this is stated in my phone recording.

I got the same basic response.  I was asked if I was responding to get my interest rate lowered.  I said, I would like to be removed for your call list. click.  End of conversation.

Received a call from number, pushed 9 and woman picked up.  When I asked her to tell me which card company she represented, she immediately hung up--someone's going to get taken....

oops!  that should read "it was for" not "I was for."

I got a recorded message saying I could lower my credit card interest rates.  
Was instructed to push nine to talk to someone.
When I did that, I was transfered to a girl named "Rachel" who still did not say what company I was for.
When I started to ask why they were calling me since I had no credit cards, I didn't even get a full sentence out before she hung up on me.

some kind of pre -recorded message for credit protection or something like that..
