I keep getting phone calls from that number.

they have change their speech, i just got the call today and the guy said he was callling from the SSN office, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION, these is an skam, i ask them why i was not notify by mail, remember anything that has to do with taxes or SSN issues, you will be notify by letter not by phone, and the guy got upset with me, and said i am giving 5000 dollars, at that point i just hanged up on him, i wish someone would do something about these people.

I was called at 9:15 pm est.  Austin Parker said I was getting $5,000 from Social Security.  I asked where he was calling from-caller id showed washington.  Why if it was from Social Security were they calling from Washington state and not from D.C.  also why would they be calling so late in the day. I also asked what could I look up on line,  the supervisor said to go to Social Security Dept.  and the info would be there confirming all that they said.  I have not checked the web site.

I just received a call from this number saying they were with Social Security and I would receive a $5,000 grant within 1 week - they just needed to verify some information. I told them I was not comfortable providing any information over the phone and the caller got very flustered and hung up.

i just received a call from this number telling me that i have been qualify for a $5000.00 grants. and asked who are they where are the calling from they told.the lady said she from a government grant department.calling me at  7:39 pm. i told her i am not interested and that i did apply for.she hang up the phone and when i call the number again it is busy. i think it is a scam be aware.

This is certainly a scam. One guy calls me up about me getting 5 grands for me being a gr8 citizen of the US. And when I told him I suspected that his call was a hoax call, he told me that if I want money than I need to give him the details. I said I will call him back if I think this is not hoax. Later, I just thought I'd called him for fun. And when I actually did, the phone did not ring. But as soon as I put the phone down, that guy rang again. I was furious and told him to get my number out of his calling list. And he immediately disconnected the call.

Just got a call from Benjamin Salavatore from the same number. Same story about a $5000.00 grant, when I questioned him about a web site he got mad and said FU_K You MOTHERFU_KER and hung up!!! I have been trying call him back but phone is busy.

i had my mom call them back and she asked for the website and they said it was under contruction....so i called them back and told them to cancel every bit of information i had given them...they gave me lip and i said if i see any action on my account ill sue....cancel or ill sue...

College Kid.... Call your bank have your account put on hold.  Every bit of information you gave them, contact those organizations, let them know that you may be the victim of identity theft and you need to ensure your securities are in order.

And when in doubt... call your parents or go see your student counselor.

i received the same call today, i think it's a scam too!

I received a phone call from this number today and when I asked whether they had a site I could check out, he said no.  A legit government grant organization would have a website right?  Well, I asked for a number I could call, to see if the organization was legit, and he gave me a number.  I hung up, checked the ID, and found out that it was the same number.  They called back five minutes later, but I didn't answer.  So, I take it, this organization is a scam?

I received a call from this number stating that they were from a government grant organization and that my name had been submitted and I'd won a $5,000 grant.  They just needed my account information to transfer funds.

There were 2 guys invovled. First guy had a heavy accent - Indian or Arabic  The second man had an American accent.  

They asked to "verify" my name, address, phone number, and asked for my bank account number and the last 4 digits of my SSN.

Called my bank and had the account frozen, moved funds to new account.

I recieved a call from this number telling me that they would give me a grant but first wanted to know all my personal information like my bank account numbers and things like that. They would not give me their website information or anything. Needless to say I did not give them my information, but these types of scams are becoming more common.
