Just received a call and he asked for my husband. I did not confirm that he lived here and he asked if he was around at a later time. I said "who is this?" and he didn't answer. Just hung up.

Similar call happened to me just now. It sounded like a prerecorded message, like a person's voice but pieced together really well!  It even told me this was a prerecorded message and then asked me a question and waited for me to answer. After saying no, It tried to get me to donate again and paused, waiting for me to answer. After I said no (and attempted to explain why) the robot just simply said, "Ok, thank you for your time and keep us in mind. Have a nice day" and then it hung up on me.  Wow! They want my money but don't have the decency to have a real person call me! LOL! smh

Gentleman called saying he was from the Police Protective Fund, and they collect funds for families of fallen police officers to help out the families. He said this was for our state only. After reading the comments here, they obviously are NOT just for our state. I told him I wasn't interested and he said thank you and have a nice day.

They call early in the morning and hang up. I want them to stop!

When you answer the phone the person at the other end hangs up.

At 8:30 a.m. this morning I received a call from this number and it said Cell Phone WA.  I always check the number before I even answer it.  I have a long list of phone numbers that call me and get very annoyed that no one can do anything about this harassment going on  every day.  

Just received a call from 360 259-0018, (also a cell phone and when you call back, the answering area has not been done) A man called sounding almost like a cop. Said he was getting donations and represented Police Protective Support. That over 150 police officers were killed in the line of duty last year alone.  They are collecting money to send to the families, blah, blah, blah.  He wanted my credit card number or debit card. Said I don't have my new debit card from the bank and do not have a credit card. He was rather incredulous that I didn't have a credit card, and repeated you don't have anything around that is a credit card? No. I didn't have one when you called and one hasn't appeared since we have been speaking on the phone. I said give me your address and I will write a ck and send it to you.  NOT.  Money is money. But whatever, now I have looked them up on this web site and I am a little "Sharper".

Just got the call from "Wireless Caller" (360) 259-0018 "Police Protective Fund" - When I questioned it they hung up.

Received a call today asking for my husband.  When I inquired as to who was calling he said Andre from PPS.  I asked what PPS was and he said Police Protective Services.  Why would someone from Washington State be calling someone in NY unless it was to beg for as donation.  Scam, Scam, Scam.

Just received a call on my cell (May 6th), but did not answer, and no voice mail left. Wondering how they got my cell number.
 

First of all, it says Washington (I'm in NY).  I know no one in Wash. State.  Secondly, no message.  I never pick up if they're not in my contacts and I never give these types a 2nd chance.  Yet another number I'm now blocking.

"Ray" just called. Very curt, refusing to leave message.

"Ray" just called from 360-259-0018. He would not identify himself or leave callback number. Who is this?

Police Protective Fund - they're a scam "charity" and they call me All. The. Time. The number is usually unavailable, but this time it showed up as "wireless caller." Crafty little deviants, they are.

When I answer who ever it is hangs up and yes, when you call back it says their voice mail box has not been set up yet and hangs up on you.

Got a call this morning from these guys, trying to haggle me into "just $25 bucks", but I did enough quick internet searches to find this before hanging up:

Looks like less than 7% of the money they raise actually goes to the program... what a scam!

They are calling for another person, very rude and persistent. Calling both my home phone and cell phone, I have asked to have my number removed and no response to my requests. This is very harassing.I tried to call the very same number back and there is an instant message informing me of the caller has not set up their voicemail yet. This is very frustrating.

I answered the phone and they are a scam called "POLICE PROTECTIVE FUND".  They want money to help families of fallen police.  He got mad when I told him I don't donate over the phone.  I footless it and sure enough...SCAMMERS!

Calls and hangs up when I answered.  If left to go to answering machine, they hang up.
