This scares me

Me too. Is same scammer man had heavy Indian accent he call me yesterday from this number (407)562-0285 and block it. Today his change to (360)-262-1047.

Dear Scammer
Do something new this game is to old school now..  Waste your time and phone card.. I warning .. If you keep to this scam one day what happened to you, your family, relative, your friend and India community call need help or to doing business no body want to help ..Because anybody just hear India accent is scam acknowledged.. And don't complaint ..

I got a call and called back a few minutes later and a message told me the number was disconnected.

Called asking medical questions. When I asked how they got my name and number, hung up.

Responding in an Indian accent is rude. I understand that you are messing with them, but you couldn't come up with something that was a little more clever and original??

A person called me from this number with an Indian accent and sounded like he was in a busy call center.  He told me I was eligible to receive some compensation for some medical procedure or something like that.  I just ended the call.

Called me.  Asked for me by my maiden name.  Said his name was Jack with the Federal Bureau of Medical Compensation.  Said I wasn't interested and to take me off the call list.  He hung up.

So sick of these phones calls; we as consumers pay a lot of cell phone bills and you tell me why they can catch the ignorant people?

Background sounds of boiler room scam center. Caller had "Indian" accent and asked for "Alice". Last Alice I knew was in junior high, 50+ years ago--haven't stayed in touch--so I told him in my Indian accent that there was "no such individual at this location" at which point he apologized and rang off. Don't think he got it. Gotta practice my Indian accent. Maybe have some chutney?

I too just received a call from this number. Whenever I receive a call from a number that is not listed in my contacts and I know that I do not know anyone from the area or the state where the call is coming from or do not recognize the area code. I google the number and almost always find blogs like these, which lets me know that it is a scam call. At that point I go to my call log and block the contact (this option is located on the bottom of the screen for iPhone users and save the number to a contact called "scammer" that way as long as the number is saved as blocked in my phone that number will never contact me again. It also helps to never answer  the phone for numbers you don't recognize. Scammers thrive on someone just picking up the phone because oftentimes they do not know who they are calling and if it is a valid number until they hear a voice on the other end. At which point the harassment starts. As I stated earlier, I just don't answer the phone, which makes them move right on to the next person.

Just called at 6:40 in the morning! No message left.

I've gotten a couple calls from this number with "Chehalis, WA" showing in ID screen in the last week.  No one responds when I answer. This is usually the mark of scammers or telemarketers who you can't understand, calling from somewhere else using US phone numbers.  Just block the call.
