They called and asked for Mark and I told they them have the wrong number then 'click' and they hung up within a second. Very unprofessional if this isn't a scam and calling on a Sunday of a holiday weekend.
I called back and someone picked up and have the whole WA state law enforcement spiel and asked to be taking off their calling list. Doubt this is legit.

I looked up the phone number. Traced it to a company called MCIMETRO ACCESS TRANSMISSION SERVICES LLC.

Just got a call from this number today, a Steve claiming to be with Washington State Law Enforcement. Asked for someone specific. I told him that person wasn't here, he refused to leave a message. Said he'd call back later.

Seems like the latest variation of the law enforcement donation scam. These bozos have been doing this for years now, and haven't found any data to suggest that they are anything but criminals, pretending to be the opposite.

Spoke with them. They say they are from the Washington State Police Assoc (or something like that) and are asking for a donation to keep high school kids safe by educating them about the dangers of texting while driving. Very pushy. Kept trying after I said no. Very suspect. I think it's a scam.
