Modern technology has given telescammers the tools to call you.
Since those telescammers are criminals, they ignore both the Do Not Call list and any request you might make.
Modern technology can also protect you, if YOU do a few simple things!
The first thing to do is buy a call blocker device, service or app.
Then, use it correctly.
Google "call blocker" for more information.

If you cannot afford or use such a tool, then:
* Do not answer calls from unknown numbers ... let them go to voicemail or answering service
* Do NOT return calls from unknown numbers! All that does is verify your phone number! And, in some cases, those return calls may cost $20 or more to complete.
* If you have a "dumb" cell phone, assign the scammer's number to a group named "scammers" (or similar). Then, assign a silent ringtone to that group.

I am tired of this call that I am receiving several times a day. How can I stop it? How do I report it to FCC?

This number called me at 9:53AM, 7/18/12. Didn't answer, name came up as "Unassigned". Now that's a new one. Have been on Do Not Call Registry for years, doesn't flippin' matter. Wish I could push a button to electrocute the scumbag criminals on the other end. Why am I on this website everyday???

I've been on the DNC list for 8 years. Never had a problem until someone from "Home Security" started calling me from another number. I think they are the same people using different numbers.

Robot w/ male voice called a few minutes ago offering GE home security systems monitored by Monitronics. Monthly hit earlier this week was $39.99, now it's up to $42.99. Callers were very circumspect about revealing their company's identity. The agent left a call back number of 206-333-4004, which comes up on a google web search as "WhoopAssWayne!." Go figure! Most CA installations offering GE equipment monitored by Monitronics and their 30-second response time are done by or invovle Maximum Security Alarms, Inc., Sacramento.

Was called at 1:24pm on 7/12/12 from this number. Caller ID showed the 360-322-6089 number both for the number and the name. Left a message on my answering machine stating I had won a free General Electric security system from Security Solutions. I'm on the DNC so will file an FTC complaint.

Same here. Never had a problem with solicitors until I placed my number on the do not call list. Almost everyday its some out of area number calling. Pretty screwed up how now my number is on a list to not call and the FCC is providing it to companies so they know it's a good number. Wish all could sue the registry for falsely telling the public that they are on a do not call list but will give this number to solicitors which will still call.
