Telemarketer
Have received from them and from 541-200-3236, both with the ship's horn and the "captain" (probably a 15-year-old who sounds older). Reported them to donotcall.gov. I'm so, so certain they'll help (yes, I'm being sarcastic. Has anyone ever been helped here by donotcall.gov?)

I am fed up with these calls.  You are right Southern Illinois, that stupid ship horn is so annoying.  The majority of calls that I receive on my home phone is telemarketer's.  Today is Sunday and I have already received 2 calls.  My solution to end this problem and my santity is to disconnect my home home service.

This site is not the ones calling you. And can't remove you from a call list someone else (in this case scammers) use.

Actually those behind this reported number dom't have one! That's a trick they use to confirm they reached a live number. They won't stop calling if you tell them to either, that's all part of their scam!

They call themselves Political Opinions of America and they have norhing to do with politics, the elections or political polls ... they actually run a time share scam!

Unfortunately, using their 'do not call' list may only put you on a 'sucker' list - you've just confirmed that your number is an active phone.

If they are like many others out there, they are using 'robocallers' that simply dial numbers in order - whether or not the numbers are linked to active phones.  A human answers once a call is connected, but doesn't answer every one - because they are often linked to 3 or more phones, and can only take 1 at a time.  The 'robo' simply records whether they hit a 'live' number, and that number goes back into the queue for more calls.

I've already written to my federal Representative and 2 Senators, urging legislation to simply ban the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of these phone machines - the only real way to stop this, because the robocallers just ignore DNC - this boiler rooms just change names and/or locations - and some are off shore, so there is even less ability to handle them.  So ... in addition, our federal government should require phone companies to allow users to block such calls.  The technology is there - it's just being used by the bad guys, and $ goes to phone companies to allow this high-volume use.

And According to this audio file, these a-holes are also claiming assistance with Tax relief:

Another Google Search that also might help ... "reports on area code (360) 322"

"BBB maintains millions of records on businesses across the U.S., but Political Opinions didn?t show up.

That?s a red flag.

Either the company is new, has recently changed names or is working to stay off the radar. A company that hides its identity and is not easily accessible is questionable, at best. These points draw a red flag.

Another red flag is when someone poses as a public opinion poll-taker, offers a free gift in return for participation, but concludes by asking for a credit card number to cover processing fees.

The Better Business Bureau is warning people about trends in which scammers pose as public opinion poll-takers, offer free gifts in return for participating and then ask for a credit card number to cover processing fees."

Bingo!!!

Excellent post!

Yes, these are rhe same a-holes as before and rhe same wirh several class action suits against them! The very same hiding behind a phiny political survey to get around FTC/NDNCR laws!
But like we both clearly stated ... it is a scam!!! Nothing legit about it at all!

And one way another tied to all those other scams hitting everyones phones!
These a-holes (behind each of these scams) should be pursued as criminal rather than civil repeat offenders!!! As wrist slapping them with a fine has never stopped them ... A LONG stay in prison would do better!!
So many voilations right ans left by them (FTC, FCC, TCPA, invasion of privacy, harassment and the list goes on ...).
But since rhey are criminals rhey don't care and the only way to actual nail them is to give them time behind bars and shut down their operations, cease all their property (including thise damned annoying recordings they all use) ... I'm sure there's other measures beyond those, but at least make it not so artractive to them!

One more rhing, NO legit polling organazation EVER gives away a 'free' reward for answering their surveys/polls! NONE!

Any call such as from this number ... absolutely do not participate at all!
Calling back, pressing any number or even answering only comfirms they got a live number and you will get more calls plus calls from other scammers!!!

What they, like othwr scammers, are after is your personal information!
Plus, I also entered this number at verifyphone.com and it CAN be traced to IP addresses! Think VOIP services, a preferred tool of scammers!!!

To all posting and ALL who will be posting here! THIS IS A SCAM!!! Let all you know that too. If you have to go back and pester both local and national media, your Congress Person and U.S. Senator as well as both your states and Washington State's AG!!!
Also check out call blockers like or services like Google Voice!
One orher thing ... these calls may also be from offshore boiler rooms! The numbers are all spoofed! A MO ALL telephony scammers use among other methods!!!

Do a search on "Political Opinions of America" and see how many results you get on rhis scam!!!

These illegal and harassing scam calls are not from (legit) telemarketers, they are from scamming criminals who don't care if they break any laws by calling business or residential phone numbers.

They use robo-dialers to call any number they can hoping to find a sucker to steal personal information from!

I've received numerous calls from 360-322-6199, and usually they don't say a word.
I think it's highly amusing how many people get on this site, and don't bother to figure out how it works.  They leave their "DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN!", or "YOU CALLED AND WOKE MY DOG MUFFY UP!" or "I am on the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY", like that is a big deal. With the power of the NATIONAL call registry, they're going to make sure you're sent to jail for life, and your kids are beat up at school, and your grandkids are pointed to and laughed at! Just for good measure, they are going to poke you in the eye, and tape a "Kick Me" note on your shirt.  Isn't that how this works?
Face it, the NCR is just a band aid for a broken arm.  Just another example of the governments broken system.  Just another great idea that was never executed correctly and as a result, is just one more broken promise.
For the record, those people whom I was addressing up above, this is just a place for upset people with a mutual problem, to come and vent.  This is NOT a web site for the companies placing these calls, so when you leave notes such as, "Do not call me again, blah, blah blah.
If anyone would like a surefire way to ;at the very least; really annoy the offending companies, (and when executed well, has stopped the offending calls altogether.I actually learned this from my grandpa when I was a kid.  This was in the late 70's early 80's, so the number of telemarketers was a great deal lower...   I always wondered why there was a whistle hanging next to the phone, so one day I asked my grandpa.  He said, "when I can show you, I'll let you know".  Later in the day, I heard the phone ring, so gramps got out of his recliner, and signaled to me to go to the phone with him.  When we got there, he picked it up, and held the earpiece down low enough for me to listen with him.  It was someone trying to sell aluminum siding, and the were very tenacious.  So gramps gave me a look like, "ok we're going to have some fun."  He picked up the whistle and mimed for me to cover my ears.  I did, and even though my ears were  covered, I could still hear the shrill whistle.  It was classic.  So now when that happens to me, I walk over to my keyboard (musical not computer) turn it on, and all the way up.  I then hit the two highest notes on the keys, with a mixture of wind instruments, and tones.  Let me tell you, it is REALLY loud.  It usually ends that persons calls to me.  Thanks grandpa!!   Try it, you'll be pleased! 0: )

It is a cruise and a timeshare company based out of Florida. People need to contact the Florida Attorney Generals Office, their state Attorney Generals Office, the FTC, FCC.  It is a cheap cruise that they claim is free but it is not. According to the Florida Division of Consumer Affairs for a free cruise or trip, they can only charge you the fee to get the prize to you. http://www.800helpfla.com/travel_text.html
There are 4 class actions lawsuit pending against them. The first call they will not give you any information. You have to wait for a follow up call. They do not want to get caught for breaking the law.

Just called (360) 322-6199 and received an automated voice (Shocker). The voice stated FCC requires an opt-out feature. She confirms the number (360) 322-6199 and asks for the opt-out number. Once you enter the opt-out number the voice states it may take 24 - 72 hours to remove the phone number from the list. The painful part is the opt-out service doesn't allow for multiple opt-out numbers to be entered; so, you will need to call multiple times to enter multiple opt-out numbers.

I have two phone lines coming into the office. The (360) 322-6199 keeps calling both lines at different times throughout the day. Truly annoying. Sometimes when I answer the phone, all I receive is a hang up. Other times I hear the fog horn and a male voice state "This is your captain. . .". Finally listened to the entire recording to see if I could speak with a 'live' person but there is no opt out feature.
