Recorded Message This is your second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rates and payments. Press one now to find out the terms, conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle. "
Have received calls from same company using different #s for the past 7 years. When I request that they stop calling they hang up on me, when I tell them we are on National DNC list they laugh. When I get angry they become abusive and use foul language. One operator called me a b!tch and added "but you sound like you fu&# good!" Have filed reports with FTC and FCC at least 20 times. Calls continue. They could find Hussein and Bin Laden but apparently do not have the will or know how to stop crooks who prey on the poor and elderly. God Bless America!

call from this # was an automated msg saying I was eligible for lower interest rate on my credit card & the rate could be as low as 6.79%t. I was instructed to press 1 to speak to customer service or press 2 to end call. I hung up, did a search & found this website. I always try to remember that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I'm sorry, could you point out these idiots with poor communication skills for us? On this page I see mainly fellow users trying to define and solve a problem, not with "a phone call" singular, but a pattern of nuisance calls from hidden sources. They tend to diminish the quality of that life you demand we obtain.
| Morons 2013-01-02 15:09:56 Unknown |
Do any of you idiots actually think that the people calling you, are even looking at your lame little notes? Most of you can't even spell, or form a proper sentence, but you get all upset over a phone call!!!!! GET A LIFE!!!

Received call from this number on 1/2/13. It is a robot call with a long delay between the machine dialer and a pickup. My number is on the Do Not Call list. I filed a complaint on donotcall.gov. The more people who file complaints, the more likely there will be prosecution.
Writing about the call here is good for informational purposes. Filing a complaint at donotcall.gov takes action that can do something about the problem.

I am on the national no call list and will report your violation.

Crap service has several tools behind several computers in their boiler rooms. One computer is programmed to dial one number or a group of numbers one day while the others dial other numbers on other days. Sometimes a computer stores one number and does the robocall to see if some vulnereable will fall for it. Pests with or without an accent wait behind the screen to see if a vulnerable person will answer them and fall for their scam.

| elfnj 2012-12-31 17:28:57 Unknown |

Have gotten two calls from this number in the past 30 minutes. It's from Account Services (from which company I have no idea) offering me a way to reduce the interest rate on my credit card. Yay! Except I don't have a credit card. So since it's a recorded call and they don't know my name, it's likely a scam. Why would I do business with someone who calls me with a robocall?

I pressed one and a real person answered. I just screamed at them to quit calling me. Some kind of scam credit card thing.

ANOTHER DEBT COLLECTOR--WE DO NOT HAVE DEBT ON CREDIT CARDS OR ELSEWISE--WE ARE ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST AND DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THESE CALLS COME VIA CELL AND LANDLINE. IT IS REALLY ANNOYING. -- DO NOT ANSWER AS THIS IS (OR MUST BE/SOUNDS LIKE) A SCAM!

They called and told me that they wanted to lower my credit card interest rates. I told the guy that I didn't have any credit cards and he hung up immediately. Total scam.

These people keep calling without leaving a message. Appears to be a telemarketer. My cell is actually on the Do Not Call list & they keep calling.

You can get a free google voice account and set it to be your voicemail following the instructions on the web site. You can block the callers there. You also need to create a silent ringtone for your phone. Put unwanted callers in your contacts as ZZZ Junk Caller and assign the contact to the silent ring tone.
It takes a little effort to set up, but it is free, and avoids sleazy apps that steal all of the information out of your phone.
If you want to look for other options, go to startpage.com and enter this search string:

Just got a call from this number on my cell. Answered but no one was there.

Just got a call from the same number. Did not answer but tried to do a reverse lookup. Could only find out it was in Maryville, Washington. So I just Googled the number and found this site. Glad I did not answer!

That number just called me. The guy told me since I had no late fees with my credit card, I qualified for a lower interest rate. I asked which credit card. He said "your visa". I told him I don't have a visa and he immediately hung up!

Just received a call from this number. When I answered I got a recording about reducing credit card interest rate, so I pressed one and got to speak to a person. I asked three questions. Q&A are below.
1. What credit card companies do you work for?
Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase, Capital One, Target, and several others that I don't remember.
2. What is the name of your company
"Credit Card Services"
3. What is a call back phone number
The person on the other end of the line immediately hung up.
I have called and reported to my credit card company and the local PD because I believe it is a SCAM.
