THE BAD NEWS: Card Services calls aren't going to stop anytime soon.

THE GOOD NEWS: You can retaliate, reduce the misery, and even have some fun.

RETALIATE:

Waste these turkeys' time. Keep them on the line by acting like an interested prospect. Give them bogus data, including a combination of two different credit card numbers, scrambled Social Security digits, and a modified ZIP Code. Important: provide a credit card company's real 800 number.

After they call the credit card company, you can give them the same credit card info as before with two of the numbers transposed, thus causing them to make a second verification call. Or you can respond, "Guess what ... H-O-O-N-N-K-K [from a $6 air horn] you've been PRANKED! Call back tomorrow for more bullshot." Now they're the butt of your joke.

REDUCE THE MISERY:

Landlines. Enroll for the free service at nomorobo.com. Simultaneous ringing, a free feature many providers offer, enables nomorobo to receive, answer and, after one ring, automatically hang up on nuisance telephone numbers.

Cell phones. Block the number, an option that becomes available on the iPhone if you click on the "i" on the right in the list of recent calls and scroll to the bottom. Unfortunately, Card Services will keep calling from new spoofed numbers, which eventually should motivate you to retaliate.

HAVE FUN:

Turning the tables on the perpetrators with mischievous deception and the news they've been duped provides instantaneous vigilante satisfaction. Plus you serve your fellow call recipients by slowing down this evil operation's efforts to defraud them.

They called again----I pressed 1, got a live person on the line and blew the police whistle as loud as I could right into the phone.  Hope it hurt her ears. I will do that every time these bast--ds call.

The fleabag firm's actual name seems to be Card Servives & NOT Credirt Card Services.  The calls are vicious and unrelenting.  Let's get them out of business.

This fleabag company constantly calls & annoys me, despite the fact that I'm on the Federal Do Not Call List.  I have reported these crooks to the FCC and urge you to do the same.  Let's put these creeps out of business!.

I have received daily calls from this number, so I pressed #1 in an attempt to speak with a real person. A man answered and I asked to be put on their do not call list. He yelled at me "No I won't put you on the list because you don't want to lower your "fu**ing" rates"!!! He then slammed the phone down. YIKES!!!

There is a device that stops the call before it even rings. It's call NoMoRoBo but not all telephone systems will put it on. I have been calling Centurylink to try and get it  with no success. I don't know why they won't but I'd gladly pay extra to have that service.

The call is from "card services" which is just a ploy and a scam. They call repeatedly. Today I pressed "1" for a live representative and when she came on, I blew a police whistle into the phone. Perhaps , perhaps, someone will get the message. I always report them to the do not call list but that gets no results.

I answered twice, after getting too too many messages on my machine about my second and final notice, (shouldn't it have stopped after a "first" final notice that was never a message?)  First time a woman answered, I asked nicely "What company is this?", she couldn't hang up on me fast enough.  I hoped it wasn't a mistake to call back and put myself on their do not call list, should I have to do that when I am on the government do not call list and renew that before it expires?  Today I got another call from them and I answered and I waited.  My question to the man was "Are you going to hang up on me?" and he did.

The card service scammers   WILL   "service" our credit cards,   BUT,   when they finish "servicing" them, they will have no available credit remaining!

The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated wit our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card numbers to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!

I just got the call from 360-322-6687, Card Services, told me they were American Credit Assistance.  Lead her on, yeah over 2 grand on cards, good standing with payments, yadayadayada.  Finally I said "You guys have a nice little business going, what do I have to do to get a job with ACA?    She said "Oh my God!" and hung up.  I was sorely disappointed, it sounds like soooo much fun, having people swearing at you, hanging up on you, shine you on, just what I am looking for to fullfill my desire for feeling like a useful member of society!  These people will, never, never give up.  We need someone to come up with a device that can lock their line open but still allow our line to work.  Dreaming is allowed.  I would be not be surprised to hear of someone going postal at one of these places if someone ever gets the line on their address.

I totally get what you are saying. I heard of cases of these type of people calling from one number for you to call another one. I think that is what they call slamming. I  try my best to keep the senior members of my family alerts to all types of scams and believe me these clowns try and up their game to get your money. Thanks for clarifying for me!!

no i would never give them any info...they all seem to know i am an old person and therefore stupid...surprise!!   I am not concerned about a phone bill...the evening news says this is another scam...they get you to call them back (sometimes they only let your phone ring one ring) and when you do, the call is billed to you...do not ever call back a number out of curiosity.

Short answer is no. What got me scratching my head is that you were more concerned about racking up a phone bill than the fact a indian accented person with an American name called you from a bank that you probably know their number by hard? Either case be glad you did not give that sensitive information out.

this time when ?Steven Riley? (with an Indian accent) who claims to be from Bank of America called,  i led him, again, to believe i was just about ready to give him my cr cd # but i would have to call him back...he finally said i could reach him
on 407-545-7366  x8015
Has anyone else gotten a real phone number out of these people, and has anyone called the number??

i did not dial it in case it was one of the numbers that automatically bills your call at ?100.00 a minute and the phone company says you have to pay it  (as seen on TV news)

i get 3 to 7 calls from this number each week, i do not answer if they call on my cell, as it costs me minutes.
But when they call my land line, and i have nothing better to do, i see how long i can keep them on the line...my record is
48 minutes. i play along and they get so excited, think i will give them my credit card number, tell me i am ?qualified? and get to talk to the next level person. when he is still unable to get my credit card number from me, he will get angry...one asked me if i was playing games with him and when i said yes, i was he went off...told me what i could do to his body parts and hung up on me...that was 48 minutes he was not calling YOU!!!
